  1. more or less agree with you on everything..my mindset on Kendricks over picking a RT is that it's much harder to find a great TE in the lower rounds compared to finding a great RT, in lets say round 4 or 5. Plus, I'd still like to see what Wang has to offer the bills. If Pinkston is there in the 2nd, i'd have no problem picking him up..not crazy about any other OT at that point (unless a big name T like Love or Carimi drops to the second) over what we already have on the team. but ya, I'll agree w/you that a TE in the 2nd round is a bit of a stretch/luxury pick for the bills at this point. i'm starting to get psyched for this draft.
  2. Ya, i guess the combine will ultimately determine where he goes (beal). Mason Foster is a beast as well, and I've been having issues over who I'd rather have: Moch or Foster. Could be a wash. I'm in love with Acho, and though a bit raw still, if we were able to snag him in the 3rd or so this guy has top 15/25 potential. As for the TE, i dunno man. I think what this offense needs is EXACTLY a nice big TE that can go through the middle to snag some balls - we don't have anyone (WR or TE) that can really do that. A top TE on this team would take the offense to the next level in my opinion. Nelson has done an OK job, but he's not elite. Lance Kendricks is a beast. We haven't had a premier TE in Buffalo since Metzelaars. I wanted Aaron Hernandez last year, I want Kendricks this year.
  3. astro..i really don't see Beal dropping all the way down to the third round. He's one of the top LB/DE in the country. the guy has put up insane numbers in college, and like you said, he can do it all playing the DE or LB position. I have us taking him in the first after trading down I love Pinkston in the 2nd round..and he could very well be there early in the 2nd. I really love Jenkins as well..but he's a DT if I recall. I'd be happy with that draft.
  4. I agree. Our O-line is still young though with room to continue growing as they become more of a cohesive unit. Like other posters said, the improvement of our O-line goes hand-in-hand with the great play of Fitz. There's very little hesitation on the part of fitz, and he generally knows exactly where he wants to go with the ball. I'd still like to see this O-line unit continue to improve in the run game however. We need to generate more of a push upfront on 3rd and short..we'll see. I'd like to see what Wang can do as well. All in all though, I'm very pleased with their play. We've gone up against some of the tougher defenses in football and our 0-line has def. stepped up to the challenge.
  5. collinsworth/theisman/phil simms (though not as bad as the two former)...off the top of my head. i just find them to be know-it-alls, and overly belligerent.
  6. Props to our O-line...we're about 3 (less) sacks away from being within the top 10 for least sacks allowed in the NFL. With the continued progression of our O-line, especially Demetrius Bell (did I hear today that Bell hasn't given up a sack this season yet?), could we possibly ignore the O-line in the first 3 rounds of the draft next year? Going into this season I surely though that OL was going to be a major need, but the o-line play the last 7 weeks or so has been absolutely solid. I'm starting to feel that drafting a position like TE or even WR within the first 3 rounds may be more pressing at this point (obviously I'd still say DL/LB is by far the most immediate position of need). Maybe we can continue adding depth to the 0-line from the 4th round onward. Thoughts?
  7. LOL. Tell me Thoner, who exactly is your guy? Peyton Manning plays for the colts - follow them.
  8. LMAO
  9. i'll second this! we played pretty much the best D in the league and Fitz didn't have that much of a pass rush in his face. our O-line is really coming together...even w/wood out today.
  10. i would love it if we focused on DL/LB in the first 5 rounds w/ perhaps a skill offensive player (TE or WR) sprinkled in there somewhere.
  11. johnny, i know you love quinn, but you have to acknowledge that the fact that he only really played one season in college and hasn't played at all this season, is going to significantly affect his draft position/value. if we pick in top 10, no way in hell I draft a player that has 1 season of college ball under his belt. We missed w/maybin two years ago, so far we've missed w/spiller, and we can't afford to take a high gamble on an unproven player. we need more of a "sure-thing", if there ever is one in the draft.
  12. aaah..not sure man. this is a very high risk/potentially high reward pick (quinn)..i dunno..to take a guy at 3 who has only really had one great season in college and has been off this entire season is just wayyyyy too risky for me. considering Fox will probably be out of Carolina this season, you can bet your ass that if Luck comes out, and carolina has the #1 pick, the new coach is going to want his guy at QB. they'd probably take luck at 1 even if fox stays. nobody on this board have any love for the BEAST in my sig, VON MILLER?
  13. that's all this guy does. go look at his post history - not a single positive comment on fitz. now, when it comes time to talk-up future nfl hall of famer, luck, his praise is unyielding.
  14. everything w/the OP revolves around bashing Fitz, either directly or indirectly. what a joke. why even post here?
  15. indeed, and ON THE ROAD. don't bother arguing with that guy PTR.
  16. FOR SURE. Going back to his last game against Indy last year, Fitz is 2,116yds, 21td's, 9int..in 9 games. Pro Bowl numbers indeed.
  17. 1,961yds; 18td; 9int.... in 8 games. STUD.
  18. SJ has emerged because of Fitz roscoe re-emerged before being injured b/c of fitz Our o-line has played insanely better b/c of Fitz what has Fitz done to our 3rd down conversion %? converting 3rd downs with this offense is almost becoming a sure thing now...b/c of fitz. you can bet your ars chan appreciates that.
  19. Exactly. But we should get overly enthusiastic when Luck plays 15 games or so worth of college football. That Luck guy is so proven. He throws such nice TD passes against San Jose State.
  20. it's probably easier to trade down when you don't have the #1 pick b/c few teams are willing to give up their entire future on trading up for one player
  21. i can name at least 3 posters on this board who probably would've preferred losing. i could be wrong, but they're the same people who probably root for Fitz to fail horribly, just so they can come back on the boards to jack off luck some more. disgusting.
  22. LMAO. post Fitz stats here vs Brady, Eli, Brees, etc. (with two fewer games), and then you can go proceed to STFU after you do. THANKS www.newyorkjets.com That site is more in-line with your views..go post over there.
