I came on this board yesterday, and BmoreBillsFan and two other stooges were in the shoutbox going back and forth with one another about how horrible our defense is...it really is the mindset of, "i'm smarter than you because i'm critical and I see faults that you're not smart enough to see." It's truly laughable.

Fitz's Inaccuracy A Problem Going Forward?
bobobonators replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
lol. here we go again with the bipolarness. do you guys see other QB's play in this league? I'd easily take Fitz over at least 20 of them. Fitz must throw for 300yds and 2td's every game apparently, or else the heavens are falling. It was a subpar game all-around. It happens. We lost by 3 points on the road. We're 3-1. Jesus. Reading these boards one would think that Fitz threw for 120yds and 3 picks. -
Who's the big Moats fan around here?

Overview The 2009 Buck Buchanan Award winner (best defender in the FCS) and Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year is another undersized defensive end looking to transition to linebacker at the next level. His athleticism and quickness during the Texas vs. the Nation All-Star Challenge and good marks in agility testing at the Scouting Combine showed scouts he could hold his own against prospects from larger schools. Moats' production improved in each of his four years at JMU. He made 18 stops (two for loss) in playing every game as a true freshman. In 2007, he earned five starts as part of a rotation, recording 6.5 sacks. He earned third-team All-CAA honors as a junior, starting every game and making 15.5 tackles for loss including 11.5 sacks. Last fall, he made 90 tackles, led the FCS with 23.5 tackles for loss and corralled quarterbacks 11 times to win the Buchanan Award by the biggest margin in the event's 15 years. Moats looked comfortable at linebacker in El Paso for the all-star game, and lined up there on occasion while playing for the Dukes. NFL teams feel he can continue to improve at the second level, becoming a similar player to Colts starting outside linebacker and former fourth-round pick Clint Session. Analysis Read & React: Smart, instinctual player, but is still learning the linebacker position. Does not bite hard on play-action or misdirection, but takes a second too long to read run so linemen can reach him. Accelerates to the ball quickly once he recognizes the play. Run defense: Inexperienced playing the run from the stack, but flows through trash fairly well to attack the ball. Will overrun the play when scraping and take aggressive angles. Lacks size and length to get off pro linemen blocks when reached at the second level. Can avoid those blocks with violent hands, however, and can shed tight end blocks on the edge to stop the run. Plays low, using his low center of gravity to maintain leverage. Good effort to makes plays to the sideline and downfield. Pass defense: Flips open his hips fluidly when dropping into a zone, able to get good depth. Good awareness of players in his zone but needs to improve his route recognition, but that could come with time. Gives up height to tight ends when man-up but is strong enough to knock them off their route from the nine-technique. Stays low in pedal, able to change directions quickly to chase the play. Tackling: Explosive tackler who brings his hips and plants ballcarriers into the ground. Stays low into the man and rarely gets eluded once in the play, even if getting only an arm on the ballcarrier. Will chase plays downfield and be the second or third man into the pile, keeping his legs moving until the whistle is blown. Takes the correct angle when trying to prevent big plays. Has a chance to be a good inside special teams player because of his speed, hands and aggressive tackling. Pass Rush/Blitz: Explosive rusher on the edge with spin, outside-in, bull rush and swim moves. Spends a lot of time in the opponent's backfield with quickness off the snap. Gets under taller tackles' pads to push lesser tackles back and can go under their armpit to turn the corner quickly. Strong tackler who does not let go of quarterbacks once they are in his grasp and typically plants him in the ground. Intangibles: Team captain. Put in extra time in the weight room before his senior year to become stronger, as well as more time in the film room to be a smarter player. Coaches love his work ethic and leadership. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1277382 -

Anyone getting Bills burnout?

LMAO. only on a Buffalo Bills message board can you get complaints about having our team all over ESPN. I really don't get it. -
The Top Ten Concerns Bills success could bring
bobobonators replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was worried about the Bills looking past the Bengals for about a one nanosecond and then i realized the following: this team is made up of players who have had nothing handed to them - they've had to scratch and claw for every ounce of playing time in this league and are finally reaping the benefits. Fitz was looked over twice in his career and was very close to being looked over again for a third time with the Bills. Fred Jackson was bouncing around europe and the arena league before finally making his way to the NFL. Stevie Johnson was on the practice squad this time last year...I can go on and on. Fitz and Freddy J are leaders in that locker room and I doubt that they'll let anyone on the bills look past the Bengals or take a single game for granted in this league. This team and these players have been waiting too long for this moment, and they're not about to let it slip away b/c they went 3-0. This team is hungry and this team is ready to !@#$ing go! -
What's the Difference between 2008 and 2011?
bobobonators replied to Sniper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team is not a fluke. Though our record stunk last year, there was a CLEAR turnaround the second Fitz took over: We lost by 3 points against the RAVENS; by 3 points against the CHIEFS; by 3 points against the BEARS; by 3 points against the STEELERS - ALL playoff teams. Last year was the beginning of what hopefully will continue to be Buffalo Bills DOMINATION. Year 2 for everyone under Chan Gailey; Fitz going into the season as the clear #1 starter for once in his life; and key draftees = much improved. The sky is the limit fellas - Fitz at 28 is entering his prime right now. The future for once is starting to look bright! -
Not nearly enough praise for this group

Excellent point. -
3 Games: 1 sack. This stat to me, considering recent years, is mind-numbingly unreal. And it's not as if we've played teams w/o a pass rush: KC has one of the best DL in Tamba Hali; did anyone see what the raiders did today to the Jets o-line?..they DOMINATED them; and the pats, though they don't necessarily have a great pass rush, in years past, they would always dominate the LOS against us. Though a big portion of our success in this aspect of the game is undoubtedly due to our Saviour, Ryan FitzJesuspatrick, making quick decisions and not patting the ball for 12 seconds like recent Bills QB's have done, we really need to give some serious props to this group of no-names and castaways. This O-line is looking really, really, good thus far!

haha, i think it was one of those situations where 2WR were wide open literally right next to e/o and appeared too good to be true and Smith didn't pull the trigger out of disbelief.

And Kelly had a HOF line, a HOF RB, Andre Reed, and James Lofton. Get a clue. -
A Few Thoughts About The Game
bobobonators replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LMAO. the guy had a flawless game but somehow fans still manage to find something wrong. unreal. Since last season: 14 games, 3200yds, 27td, 15int. Top 10QB. -
Though still early, it appears we may not have the personnel for a QB kneel either.
-
LOL!

This board is a tad bipolar. Countless threads were created on here (not that long ago) declaring how Evans was not a true #1 WR and how he disappeared from games; would not go over the middle; is only good for go-routes; etc, and how we should trade him. Well, he was traded - now eat it.

Last time Bills drafted an OT in rounds 1, 2, 3, or 4?

when did we take Wang last year? -
another solid article discussing each pick we made: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/686516-nfl-draft-2011-evaluating-the-buffalo-bills-draft-class
-
this guy is an idiot. it's clear from his "analysis" that the main reason why he's pissed is b/c we didn't draft a QB. After newton is taken, what are we supposed to do? Take Gabbert at 3? Take one of the lesser QB's with our 2nd or 3rd round pick? What's the point? I don't see any of those QB's being better than Fitz. It's simple, the guy obviously dislikes Fitz and just wanted the bills to take a QB so the guy's mocks would've looked better. And as for the RB comment...we took one RB in this draft..in what, the 5th round? lol.
-
i wonder how much input Wanny had on these defensive picks being that gailey is mostly an offensive guy..
-
lol...i don't understand people that knock the bills for drafting this guy in the 6th round. ya, he's not fast and ya, he's not ray lewis. it's the 6th round. if he can be a rotational ILB or a solid special teams player, i'm sold. from everything i've read on the guy, he can tackle..which is more than i can say for a lot of players currently starting on the bills D. The bills need depth at ILB.

Round 7 (Pick 245): DT Michael Jasper - Bethel (TN)
bobobonators replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kudos to the bills for doing their homework on this one. i've never in my life heard of this school. i'm seriously hoping that Mt. Jasper will make the team and completely DESTROY brady -
ya, non-hodgkin. horrible news for the poor guy. i think it's still worth a shot to take a gamble on the guy though...for his age, the success rate is well over 90% i believe. it's not as if he would be starting for us day 1 anyway. many had him going in the 2nd round...some even the late 1st. I'd take a shot in the 4th or 5th round..what the heck. Imagine how happy he'd be when he finds out he's drafted? Best of luck to the guy..

This is how we proceed!!! 4a. Marcus Cannon - OT/OG 4b. Sam Acho - DE/OLB
