  1. Throw in a Jarvis Jones to rotate with Anderson and we'll really be dictating things. Rotate with Anderson/Mario i meant. we'd have beasts on the outside every snap.
  2. Anderson and Mario would move to the outside. i don't necessarily agree..sure all teams will switch it up between a 4/6, 3-4/etc, but the philosophy your DC prefers will dictate the kind of player you draft and sign off FA. Von Miller probably wouldn't be as productive in the Bears defense or Wanny's defense this past season.
  3. i'd be happy with this. our defense is actually probably closer to a 3-4 than a 4-3 (as crazy as it may sound). we don't have a single quality LB. you can put KW/DAREUS/Carrington on line, and anderson and mario at OLB.
  4. No QB in this draft is worth moving up for in the first round
  5. i'm with you there. from what i've heard from levitre, he seems to be happy to be in buffalo. we'll see though...
  6. i hear ya. there's also another important factor: winning. the bills haven't done any of that in about 13 years. so if you're Levitre, and the Bears come and offer you 38 million as opposed to the 35 million, you're A.) getting more money; and B.) getting a better shot at winning/being in the playoffs. After all, "you play to win the games." i really hope we keep Levitre but there are going to be a BUNCH of teams throwing piles of money at him...
  7. good post. i agree. Dareus and KW both played better in the 3-4 last season too. switching back to a 3-4 wouldn't be that big of a deal imo. that being said, i don't want Haslett.
  8. Levitre is the #1 FA guard this offseason. I would consider him gone. Draft one in the 3rd or 4th round and move on.
  9. washington just said they will not listen to trades for cousins. he's not going anywhere.
  10. I agree with you. I've seen RGIII countless times this year take a harder hit than necessary b/c he's trying to get an extra 5 yards after he already gained 20! At that point, if you're RGIII, you just need to let it go and slide sooner. There was a play in yesterday's game where RGIII was running to the sideline and instead of going out of bounds he cut it up the sideline for an extra 2 yards and got flipped like a ragdoll. I absolutely love RGIII but he needs to be wiser.
  11. For as long as RGIII is teh starter, the skins will always need a capable backup. No point in trading away cousins if your'e the skins.
  12. though i'll admit Marrone's hiring was a bit of a letdown for me when i first heard it (just b/c I was really hoping we'd land Lovie), some of the nonsense some people are posting on here about Marrone is unwarranted. Marrone has coached in the NFL before and did very well in Syracuse (considering how bad that program was). He's highly regarded apparently by a bunch of NFL personnel. Lets not burry him before he even starts.
  13. RGIII, RGIII, RGIII!!! love wilson, but hate carroll more than shanny.
  14. with all due respect to college coaches, i don't want an all-college coaching staff. We're the Buffalo Bills playing in the AFC East and not the Big East. We better get a freaking solid DC and OC.
  15. I'm not gonna lie - this is a letdown. Hoping for the best.
  16. you mean like 20+ years ago? i didn't say NEVER..i said LIMITED. Bud Grant dude? lol
  17. i don't think he has ANY NFL experience whatsoever. not as a player or coach. that doesn't mean he can't be successful but i'm sure the list of coaches who have asbolutely 0 exposure to the NFL before becoming head coaches in the modern era is limited. that's my only real reservation really
  18. I hear all that, and how much of that blame should the GM take for not assembling an O-line and being unable to get a decent QB in all those years up until Cutler. as for record against teams with a winning record, i'd like to see what other coaches' records vs. winning opponents are. all the good teams in the NFL beat up on weak teams and then either go .500 vs good teams..or worse. Lovie has BY FAR the most impressive resume of any available HC this year (now that Reid is gone). In fact, i'd be willing to bet (without even looking), that Lovie probably has more wins than our last 3 head coaches combined. When was the last time we hired a HC with such an impresssive W/L record in the NFL? I don't think we as bills fans - who are among the laughing stock of the NFL - should be nit-picking Lovie's wins in teh NFL.
  19. If lovie has any pride, he wouldn't take a DC position for a coach who's never coached a game in the NFL. Lovie just went 10-6 last season. If anything, it should be Lovie as HC and Chip as OC. nothing against Chip, i'm just looking at it from a lovie point of view.
  20. Stop w the jauron nonsense. What's jaurons record as a head coach? You can't coach in the league this many years and be a "bad" or "average" coach..especially at his w/l clip. And he has never had a great QB like rodgers or brady, brees, etc.
  21. For as many horrible things that were said about lovie, how many years was he in chicago, a major market? Why do players love to play for him? Some people just have an axe to grind. At the end of the day, look at lovies accomplishments on the field. Some people just go off on a tangent spewing hate. Look at how hoge went crazy over Tebow a couple of weeks ago going as far as insulting his character. Tebow did more for humanity by the age of 15 than Hoge will ever do in his entire life. Completely agree.
  22. as bad as we've been, the jets have become the laughing stock of the league. i live in nyc. i'm loving it.
  23. wasn't belichek fired from the browns? and he was traded to the jets no?
  24. i definitely agree with the concensus here and would like to keep freddy for 2 reasons already stated: 1. Great guy/teammate 2. CJ is not a 25-30 carry back for an entire season As long as it's crystal clear who the #1 back at buffalo is, i'd be extremely happy having Fred back. Woot!
