  1. i'd be extremely happy with Manuel. I'd take him over Barkley. 1. Geno......................................................2. Manuel; 3. don't bother drafting a QB.
  2. Agreed. I'd say that 75% of that list aren't starters.
  3. Trade up with whatever it takes to get to #3 and take Geno and never look back. I'd rather make a big splash and fail than to continue with this half-assed garbage we've been going through for the last decade, which has been a complete utter failure anyway.
  4. I posted this elsewhere. Its brady
  5. What confuses me about this thread is how some people here are "reading up" on these QBs now. Geno and Barkley have been playing for years. If you haven't watched them play for yourself and have to scramble to find articles on them, maybe you should just not post your opinion and spare the rest of us who have from this nonsense of Nassib being a better prospect than Geno. Some people don't watch college football - that's cool. But at least keep shut if you cant even form your own opinion w/o having to utilize Google.
  6. RGIII wasn't exactly a can't miss. There were several questions about his experience and the scheme he played in. In 2010, RGIII was a nobody to about 85% of the population. That being said, his stock was definitely higher than Genos is currently due to RGIII explosion in 2011 winning the heisman
  7. By "immeasurables" do you mean Syracuse running for nearly 400yds that game? Sorry, but bringing in a HC, OC, AND QB from the same college program would be an abomination. Syracuse isn't bama
  8. seriously man, i don't get it. Looking at the draft order, lets say that the Raiders don't take Geno, the next viable team to draft a QB will most likely be the Cardinals at 7. If i'm Nix i go gang-busters calling the browns to move up from 8 to 6 and nab Geno. A move from 8 to 6 would probably cost us our 1st and 3rd round pick. Draft Geno and then go with the BPA available at OL/WR/LB in the 2nd round and this draft would be a MAJOR victory IMO. Our franchise would have a clear direction and a dynamic player in Geno and we can still address a needs in the 2nd and 4th rounds. Worst case scenario, lets say we have to trade up to 3, that would require at least our 1st, 2nd and a 3rd round pick the following season. Draft Geno and then fill a need in the 3rd and 4th round at OL/LB/WR. Obviously finding a trading partner can be difficult, but if Geno passes the Raiders I think the Browns would be a serious trading partner and a very viable option. For those who keep saying we have to keep all of our 6 picks b/c we have a lot of needs, do you think that all of those 6 picks will REALLY fill those needs ultimately? Hopefully 3 of them actually do, but realistically only 1 or 2 will..if we're lucky. Getting Geno would fill our most important need instantly.
  9. Better career stats? Considering Landry Jones has 1 more season starting, sure..he has more YDS and TD's. Geno has a higher career comp %, Geno has a MUCH better TD/INT ratio, and higher QB ratings (whatever that's worth). Landry Jones is an INT machine, for college standards.
  10. He was outshone by Nassib? How? Did you even watch that game? Nassib's completion % was 47.8 and he threw for a whopping 130yds against one of the worst defenses in all of college football. Syracuse had 369yds rushing that game! Lets not re-write history. Come on people.
  11. At one point last year Geno threw 24 TD's in a row without an INT. Sit down and think about those numbers for a second. I don't care WHAT SYSTEM you play in with fancy WR that have rockets up their ass, you don't put up those numbers with luck or by "never" properly setting your feet in a 7 step drop. What a joke. Laughable. Other than being black i dunno. Maybe if Geno looked more like Matt Barkley he'd get more hype. I'm white, but I feel that black QB's still get lupped into 2 categories: RGIII (charismatic, great guy) or Jamarcus Russell (lazy and dumb)...there's no middle ground. Geno may not be RGIII, but he's no freaking Russell either.
  12. Geno went 19-28, 201yds, 2TD, 0INT in that game w/ a 151 rating. Marrone sure "stopped" him dead in his tracks. The only reason you think Geno was stopped is b/c you're used to seeing Geno put up 400yds 4TDs every other game. What were Ryan Nassib's numbers that same game? 11-23, 130yds, 2TD, 1INT, w/ a 115 rating.
  13. How many snaps from center did RGIII take? What about Kaep? Never properly setting his feet? ...LMAO. Imagine what #'s he would've put up if he actually did set his feet. Stop. Mark Sanchez took a bunch of snaps under center at USC. Lets draft his clone. LOL. This makes sense. So should ANYONE draft Geno b/c he lost to Marrone? So what you're saying is that he's undraftable. Gotcha. Actually, b/c Nassib beat Geno, Nassib is clearly > than Geno. Yes, that must be it.
  14. i agree man. people who say "we need all our picks" we can't "waste picks" obviously can't see that years and years of picks have produced an eternal 5-11/7-9 team. We address the QB, and everything else will fall into place A LOT sooner than not addressing the QB. Again, Geno has everything you want from a QB prospect: 1. A great arm. 2. Good accuracy. 3. Mobile; not RGIII, but more like Aaron Rodgers with the ability to break a 20-30yd run if necessary - w/ease. 4. Coaches have raved about his football smarts. 5. Successful in College with sick stats over an extended period of time. Not a one year wonder. Best QB in this draft hands down. I don't give a sh*t what people say.
  15. 1. Its GENO 2. He will succeed in the NFL. There is nothing about his game that warrants thinking otherwise.
  16. Lmao. That was great. If anything, we should draft a l tackle high and move Glenn to LG
  17. Just make sure Nix is in the barn when you burn it down.
  18. The one caveat that needs to be stated, however, is that Levitre was the top rated Guard in FA this season. Limited supply and high demand = overpaying. Wallace is probably not even in the top 15 at WR in the NFL, yet look what he got paid. He was the biggest name WR in FA right now, that's why. I'd rather not grossly overpay however and think the Bills made a tough, tough choice..but the right one.
  19. though i really liked Levitre, he wasn't dominant. He was good, but not dominant. At 8mil/year I want/expect dominance. The bills offensive line time and time again had 3rd and shorts or 4th and inches and consistently failed to gain a few inches in the running game. Levitre was part of that offensive line that when push came to shove, got pushed around. Wish him nothing but the best.
  20. I understand this argument, however, what if we finish with the 8th pick again next year. Heck, what if we finish with the 10th - 15th pick? What if Manziel doesn't even declare? Analysts are always quick to hype up prospects and then quick to bring them down. Matt Barkley sure looked like a can't miss prospect 2 years ago and now look at him.
  21. That's where you and I disagree - we trade up for Geno BECAUSE this is a weak class, except for Geno. Again, this is my opinion of Geno. Obviously for the people here who don't think much of him, they want nothing to do with trading up. Geno will be a major player in the NFL. He has the arm to make every single throw at the NFL level, and he has performed at an elite level in college. What else can we as Bills fans possibly want from a QB prospect? Would a better strategy be wait until there's a "strong" draft class? There are too many factors that can influence where we pick next year or the following year or who the heck will even be declaring from college. We live in the now and as of right now we have freaking TJax as our starting QB and NO viable backup. That's scary. I just find it hilarious how poster after poster on this board cried like babies because we didn't have a "real" QB in Fitz and how Fitz was preventing this team from reaching the next level but when it comes time to actually go after a QB, now we can afford to wait until next year's draft..or the year after..or until the tooth fairy drops one in our lap. This board is comical. Also, if we take a QB this year in the 2nd round, lets say Nassib. Don't you think we're going to give him a shot as well to "prove" himself? So ya, i'd rather do this all over again in 2016 after at least giving it our best shot with the best option (Geno) than doing this all over again in 2016 after giving the shot to a 2nd tier QB.
  22. I dont buy this whole we only have 6 picks BS. There have been recent years where we've had a surplus of picks and where the hell have those stockpiles gotten us? I'd rather draft the guy we think will be the QB for the next ten years and sign FA scrubs as a stop-gap than to continue avoiding the QB position. Why just dip our toe in the water and go for a second tier QB? Dive into the pool for once and see what happens. Christ we have very little to lose at this point and much to gain. The one missing factor in every draft for the bills in recent years has been drafting a top-notch talent at QB in the draft. We either avoid the position or draft 2nd tier/3rd tier QBs. Drafting Geno will at the very least give this franchise some direction.
  23. 1. Marrone didn't come to the NFL to go "full on tank mode" 2. Who the heck knows if Manziel will even declare next year or what injuries there will be in college. What if Clowney blows out his knee? We don't know - 1,000 factors in one year to consider. 3. What if we finish 6-10 again? Then what? Do we trade up THEN? Or do we continue "full on tank mode" 4. Do the players know we're "full on tank mode"? Just curious.
