My statement regarding his attitude is directly related to the nonsense surrounding his foot - I just don't buy it (but I discussed that in another thread). i'm not questioning his attitude with teammates and the coaching staff...he's been here his entire career and his teammates are his friends - he's not going to be an a$$ all of a sudden. the business side of it is another story..everything that comes out of parker's mouth, to me, is a direct representation of Byrd's attitude. If Byrd felt differently, he'd tell Parker to STFU. Even Arod told his lawyer to just shut up after the distractions became too much with the media.

I really don't see him playing. frankly, with his piss-poor attitude, lack of reps in the preseason, and glass foot i'm not sure I want him playing.

LOL. I hear ya. we definitely are. I see your side completely though, and if I was a Jets fan, i'd just want Geno to not say anything at all quite frankly. But I honestly think the Jets will not even attempt to throw at Revis in this game; hence why Geno saying that he's not looking at Revis' film is probably actually factual. I can't think of anything worse if I'm a Jets fan, a coach, GM, and/or owner than to lose to the Bucs this weekend and have Revis have an INT or two in your own stadium after the PR disaster the Jets had with Revis leaving.

EBALL. lets think rationally: why would you feel sorry for Jets fans? What's more effective: game planning around other TB defenders or game planning around Revis? Are you, as a team, going to focus your efforts on trying to "beat" Revis? Or is it more effective to focus your efforts on Leonard freaking Johnson or Jonathan freaking Banks? I'll take the latter 10000 times every day, all day, over trying to reinvent the wheel and go after Revis with a ROOKIE QB. Not to mention that he's a Rookie QB who is starting not because of his performance during preseason but because Sanchez got injured. That's NFL coaching 101.

Revis was in High School in Manning's and Brady's first few starts...lol. All kidding aside - again, I understand what you're supposed to say..but again, we're talking about Revis. I'd be willing to bet that Rex and Co. have ZERO inention of throwing at Revis. The last thing the Jets want is Revis to return a pick 6 at Metlife Stadium; especially considering how Rex never wanted Revis to go he sure as hell doesn't want to let Revis beat them.

I understand you weren't talking to me specifically; and I'm not trying to be a smartass either; I'm just describing a line of thought. I like Byrd when he plays and he was awesome last year. My thoughts on Byrd have spiraled downward this offseason however. He didn't get his contract but he's still getting paid pretty damn well this season so I expect him to produce.

This line of thought is predicated on the fact that Byrd obviously has no desire to play for us anymore whereas his PF will miraculously be a minor issue on another team and he'll play at a pro bowl level elsewhere.

The Ravens? Someone with super bowl aspirations? The POS played through PF at a high-caliber last year.

My main problem is that it's all too convenient. Funny how last year when he was potentially playing for a big contract he was still able to play despite his PF....but this year, when he's already tagged, the POS has barely put on his pads and helmet, yet he can't play now b/c of the PF. Does he have PF? Probably. How bad is it, that's the question. EXACTLY.

I was just going to post this...i'm late to the party. I've concluded that my initial thought was correct: Byrd is a POS. I wouldn't trade him. Tag him again next year. If he doesn't want to play and keeps having imaginary injuries, good luck getting a substantial contract 2 years removed from NFL action. POS.

Stevie Johnson has had 3 consecutive +1000yd seasons. Sometimes the best explanation is the simplest and most obvious: our TE's have sucked.

I confess: i didn't like Tyler Wilson at all. But i did like Geno and we'll soon see how that goes..

Despite his antics at times, he's still arguably my favorite Bills player.
