  1. It's threads like these, and posts like this that are always worth bumping eternally. Beacuse reading these threads and posts, one would think we were reigning super bowl champions...or at the very least made the playoffs last year; no sorry, at the very least had a winning record last year; no sorry at the very least had a winning record a single season during the last DECADE?
  2. LOL. I'd give a slight advantage to the Bills @ QB (just because its way too early to say something definitive about either QB at this point); RB and WR's def goes to the Bills. But no way does O-line and D-line go to the Bills - sorry man, at best D-line is a wash. And coaching? I dunno - we'll soon find out. Rex has been to AFC Championship games with Sanchez of all people. Lets be fair and objective. YUP.
  3. We've been the whipping boys of the NFL for the past 20 years. What do you expect? Lets win on Sunday and that yapping will stop..till then, don't get offended.
  4. I understand that the stat line doesn't represent the entire truth. However, the only stat line that matters from that game is the nearly 400 YDS RUSHING obtained by Syracuse vs. WV. Geno having 2TD and 0 INT and 200+yds was certainly average for his standards in college. I'm sure Geno will have an axe to grind for B-lo and Marrone passing him up. Can't wait for this matchup - I want to hear Jets fans cry for a week on WFAN.
  5. Yup, that is a primary fear of mine. Though Geno isn't a running QB, he can easily rip off a 30yd run if he has a lane. Unlike some, I'm not liking this game at all. I hope I'm wrong, but we play like crap against Rex Ryan's Jets every damn season. Hopefully this year is when things change. It works both ways. The jets are familiar with Pettine too; the advantage isn't strictly ours. To be accurate: He didn't destroy Geno in any way. He destroyed WV's defense. Geno had a good game. Syracuse ran the ball to the tune of something like 400yds..
  6. X 1 MILLION. Couldn't agree more.
  7. Agreed. I'd like to curb my enthusiasm, but EJ/Woods/Alonso may prove to be one of our better drafts.
  8. this is going to be a really tough game for us that'll be a good test of the makeup of this team. 1. The Jets D is for real; 2. Rex Ryan and the Jets will have 10 days to prepare for us which is HUGE; 3. We always play poorly against the Jets (during the Ryan era). I see a 17-13 kind of game - either way.
  9. I think the tone of this thread is that he's nowhere near being a playmaker. He's an average player; certainly not poor, but just average and perhaps trending down.
  10. I agree. We should target a TE in the 2nd round next year if possible.
  11. One of the best wins we've had in years. Great job and KUDOS TO THE DEFENSE FOR KEEPING US IN IT! In years past, the D wouldve let the game slip away. Great overall team win
  12. Prediction: Geno 185yds passing; 1TD; 1Int; 45yds rushing. Jets lose 13 - 24
  13. Because they didn't execute, not b/c of time mgmt. Are you indicating that they would've had more 1st downs if they DID huddle? I don't see how you can make that connection.
  14. I understand you want to milk the clock - but we had a 1 point lead with 10 minutes to play in the 4th Quarter. That is not the time to milk anything against Tom Brady. That's the time to score 2 more TD's. We couldn't score. We lost.
  15. Regarding the clock mgmt: we had a 1 point lead in the 4th quarter against the PATS. Keep playing the way we've been playing is the best way to go IMO. If we were up 10 points with 7 minutes to go or so I could see maybe trying to milk the clock. But 1 point? Na - keep going full force IMO.
  16. LOL. I never heard of this player you call "Spiller". Did he play today?
  17. Ultimately, the problem for me is simple: I can easily list 4-5 drops over SJ's career that have been just about as ill-timed as they can be. Unfortunately - off memory alone - I can't list 4-5 catches that he made that proved to be game-changers. Good WR overall, but DAMN he seems to have a knack for making bone-headed drops (or penalties) at critical moments.
  18. Some of the comments on this thread are a joke. Passing judgment on anyone after playing a handful of snaps in preseason is typical TBD.
  19. Same **** every year from this guy. Meanwhile the pats wr were catching passes acrobatically all over the place. They step up and we crap the bed as usual. Fact: theyre professionals, we're peewee league. End of story
  20. Genos attitude sure hurt the jets this game. We keep chirping on these boards but keep losing.
  21. I see him as a cross between ben the rapist and russel wilson
  22. Exactly - hence what I said that it's a lot easier playing QB when you know you don't have to put up 40 points every week in order to have a chance to win.
  23. Living in the NYC area and listening to WFAN and ESPN radio all day, i'm forced to listen about the Jets literally 24/7. I kinda feel bad for sanchez and how it turned out for him....but he was put into a great situation when he came to the jets: great running game and elite defense - can't get any better than that. The more he was eventually asked to do, the worse he got. Granted, the franchise as a whole is a circus and he'll be better off leaving. If you put a top 5 defense on the bills the last 3 years with Fitz, i'm fairly confident we would've made the playoffs all three seasons.
  24. lmao and at the bottom it had the following disclaimer: *With a high probability of being thrown out of town and labeled a bust after 4 straight losses.
