  1. Remember 2 weeks ago when everyone kept talking about playoffs? LMFAO
  2. Schiano > Marrone in college and NFL
  3. I get the fees back just in time to see v jackson make a great catch. Lmfao
  4. Agreed. Plus where we'll be drafting we'll be in a position to get the best TE in the draft. Players like AJ, calvin johnson, a. johnson etc require having a top 5 pick.
  5. Lmfao. How in the world do you know where our QB situation is after a little more than a handful of starts by EJ. Dalton, kaep, rgIII have already made the playoffs and are light years ahead of EJ. Even locker was playing well before injury. And the titans are no worse off than us when he returns.
  6. I agree. However, just an interesting note. I looked at the current top 16 teams in the NFL by W/L record (the "better half") and out of those top 16 teams (Hawks/Broncos/Panthers/Chiefs/Patriots/Saints/Bengals/Colts/49ers/Cardinals/Cowboys/Lions/Eagles/Ravens/Bears/Dolphins), 9 of these 16 were in the top 16 in the NFL for passing yards/game, compared to 8 of these 16 being in the top 16 in the NFL for rushing yards/game. Advantage teams with more passing yards/game, but only by one team. Furthermore, out of the two categories, "top 16 rushing yards/game" and "top 16 passing yards/game", 7 of the 16 teams in the top 16 for passing yds/game were below .500 compared to 8 of the 16 teams in the top 16 for rushhing yards/game being below .500. Advantage teams with more passing yards/game, but again, only by one team. There are countless factors that determine these stats and stats can sometimes be skewed any which way to make or break an argument. That being said, I expected a slightly greater advantage for teams with more passing yards/game than for teams with more rushing yards/game. Anomalies: There are 3 teams that make the top 16 in both categories and are still having poor seasons. 1. The Redskins rank 1st in rushing yards/game and top 16 in Passing yds/game (16th) and are among the league's worst in the NFL at 3-9. Reason: Defense is horrible ranking 2nd to last in pts/game. 2. The Packers rank 8th in rushing yards/game and 7th in passing yards/game and are below .500 at 5-6-1. Reason: Losing their starting QB. 3. The Texans rank 16th in rushing yards/game and 11th in passing yards/game and have the NFL's worst record at 2-11. Reason: Entire team is having an atrocious season, finding ways to lose; defense giving up close to 27pts/game. After all that nonsense, I guess the moral of the story: balance is key and stats are overrated. At the end of the day, score more points than your opponent: Of the teams in the top 16 in the NFL in W/L%, only one team has not scored more points than their opponents: the Bears at -9. So 15/16 are in the positive in Net points. Of the bottom 16 teams in the NFL in W/L%, only 2 teams have scored more points than their opponents: the Chargers (+2) and the Rams (+1). So 2/16 teams in bottom 16 are in the positive in Net points. Bills are at -40. :w00t:
  7. Well said. I guess a question I have is, then what makes a QB "great"? Stafford is a good QB, but certainly not great..and look at the weapons he has. I agree with you that just giving EJ weapons won't make him a great QB...but it certainly won't hurt. It all starts with EJ and ends with EJ in determining his ultimate path in this league. One could possibly argue that having the right OC/HC combination is the single most important thing for a young QB - that is, having him develop into the right situation. Do we have that here in Buffalo? I don't know.
  8. Wide Right for sure #1 and.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWR1yQUKIMg
  9. I get what you're saying, but what is the Bills record with Spiller and Freddy? 6-10? The bills sucktitude goes well beyond any single player. That being said, I completely get where you're coming from with the character bit. Sure, I'm not asking for an entire team of basket cases, but this is the NFL we're talking about - idiots abound. I think one idiot on the Bills would've been OK. I just think we gave up too soon on Lynch, that is all...especially considering where we drafted him.
  10. Another way I also look at the Bills situation is as follows: I would rather invest in the offense in the immediate future b/c I feel the fate of this Franchise for the next 5 years is clearly on EJ's shoulders and not the defense. I want to give EJ every possible chance to succeed in the NFL. I want to give EJ an embarrassment of riches and targets galore. I want EJ's confidence to be sky-high in order to secure a place among the better QB's in this league. The success of EJ offensively will ultimately come with wins for the team, regardless of what the defense does. Sure, we won't be a complete team without a good defense....but i'd rather have my QB situation working than worrying about who my MLB or DE is.
  11. Good post. While I somewhat agree on the "no glaring need" on offense aspect of your post, that doesn't mean it can't and shouldn't be upgraded. An average offense will most likely not have a glaring need, but there's still a lot of room for growth going from a C to an A. The deficiency on this offense for me is clear: The NFL is a passing league and will continue to evolve into a passing league. We lack dynamic playmakers in the one area of the game that is most important in today's offensive attacks - the passing game. We have a true explosive playmaker in CJ spiller in the running game, and that's great. But we need at least 1 CJ Spiller type player in the passing game (either at WR or TE) if we're going to take the next step offensively (IMO). Maybe Goodwin can evolve into that - we'll see...but this offense is still not set up to truly succeed in the passing game and that's a deficiency in today's NFL.
  12. Tom Brady with Gronk is a completely different animal than without. Weapons certainly matter. Ryan hasnt looked too hot this season in ATL with all of his WR going down for parts of the season. Kaep has also had a less than stellar season with all his WR injuries. Flacco the same without his most reliable WR boldin. Etc. All of those situations are complex but weapons matter. We dont want to be an average offense we want to be elite. We need dynamic playmakers at multiple positions to get to an elite level. EJ cant do it in his own, no matter how much he develops
  13. I also agree. No need for a dome. Also, I watch CNN - global warming is coming.
  14. I think the most important thing that can be done to "increase" the fan base (that is, obtain the interest of more neutral/passive fans) is to start winning. Give us a decade of making the playoffs 8 years and you'll see "fans" coming out of the woodwork from Toronto all the way to Mexico City.
  15. it looks like a morgue too. why so dark in there? I hate that venue.
  16. maybe his stat minions can attempt to determine what Foles QBR would be if he were playing on the Jets. No doubt, Geno has been horrible. But the Jets' offensive woes go above and beyond Geno. They don't have an ounce of talent on the offensive side.
  17. Marrone - HC GREGG - DC Chan - OC JAURON - waterboy Mularkey - hot dog stand at RWS All star lineup
  18. Looolololol.
  19. Agree 100%; I also said the same thing in my thread yesterday.
  20. Lol. Thanks!
  21. Thanks. Im definitely not "living" in the past. Posted that link bc he played last night and that was prob the greatest run in playoff history. Worth seeing 10000 times imo. Anyway, some of us have the ability to look at the past, present and future. Not that difficult really.
  22. Nice. Another interesting aspect this week will be SCHIANO (rutgers) vs MARRONE (syracuse). Add in the talent on both teams and this could definitely be like a big east matchup. Might as well play it on Saturday. Woot!!!
