  1. Haha. Jets may beat you to it
  2. Well said We had a 1 score lead at half time. You dont run plays to protect the lead halfway through the game. You run plays to score more and win.
  3. I know. But it's bordering on the brink of insanity at this point. Kyle Orton 10/17, 238 yards, 4 TDs, 142.9 QB rating. As per yoloinohio: @SportsCenter: Kyle Orton has led Bills to 3-1 record since taking over as starter. Orton: 1,128 Pass yds, 9 TD, 3 Int http://t.co/5YhS0gCGXR @TBNSully: Watkins has 21 catches for 393 yards in 4 games with Kyle Orton. He had 17 for 197 yards, half as many, in 4 games with EJ Manuel at QB. @TBNSully: After today's game, the Bills' Kyle Orton is averaging exactly 8.0 yards per pass attempt, which would rank fifth in the NFL. And he's 7th in completion % in the NFL
  4. LMAO. I know, I know. I looked at it as him missing that point after he should be good the rest of his career now.
  5. that 1st quarter was the worst QB performance i've watched in recent memory - hands down (at the professional level at least).
  6. lol. Speaking of Dan Carpenter - the guy has been an absolute stud here. Lindell was awesome for us, but I'm more confident in Carpenter from 45+ than I was with Lindell.
  7. I'd like to keep Spikes too. yes, he's one dimensional, but the guy is good at what he does. He'd be a good situational/rotational LB at the right price. He seems to be enjoying his time here as per his recent tweet after the win. Brown has really impressed so far. A. Williams is a stud at safety. Man this D is good.
  8. Doesn't Reich call SD's plays? SD is 9th in pts/game. We're not. Yes, they have Rivers.
  9. It's easy to look back now and simply say we won and leave it at that, but clearly things weren't that peachy on game day (on the offensive side): Starting on page 21 or so: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/172506-bills-jets-first-half-thread/page__st__400 Starting on page 1: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/172508-2nd-half-thread-bills-jets/ Notice how 90% of the celebration by bills fans revolves around the D. Predictability of play calling is the problem. Lack of creativity is the problem. NH is the problem.
  10. I'm on board with all of this. Don't want him fired right now - let the season play out. He needs to step up his game though, IMO. No excuses now w/o a young QB - there's no built in excuse to hold back complexity.
  11. It's not about running too much or passing too much - it's about the PREDICTABILITY AND LACK OF CREATIVITY. It was the same argument week 1 and it it's the same argument week 8. It was argued in the CJ threads; it was argued in the Hackett is really bad thread; and it's argued in THIS THREAD.
  12. You're right, only you know something about our division.
  13. Go pull up the threads. There's plenty of them floating around. You act like this is a first time occurrence with NH.
  14. And turnovers aren't predictable. We can't just sit back and say, "well the Jets should give us another 3 turnovers so lets just run run run run run all day". You play that way it's going to bite you in the butt. You have to play to win the game on your side of the ball and not wait for plays to be made elsewhere.
  15. That's the thing though - we've seen the same run, run, pass all season. We were debating this weeks ago. This isn't new.
  16. I'm sorry man, but if that's the gameplan you want to run, you're not going to be in this league very long. You'll essentially be playing not to lose every week. And KO is not Tim Tebow.
  17. I understand what you're saying but there's not point in arguing two extremes - nobody is saying to abandon the run. But at the same time, calling the same run, run, pass setup countless times resulting in 3 and outs is unacceptable. We weren't running the ball effectively, so why continue the same pattern over and over again. It only sets us up for a likely 3 and out which is exactly what happened over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. NH is dumb as a stump. Here's a thought NH: Pass, run, run Pass, Pass, run Run, Pass, run Run, Pass, Pass Pass, Run, Pass Run, Run, Run Pass, Pass, Pass You have options NH.
  18. He would've been perfect in Denver IMO, but the Tebow phenomena was unstoppable. Bad place, bad time for Kyle.
  19. I agree. Ultimately Marrone is responsible for NH and his mickey mouse plays. 100% agree. The fact that many people can see that we're actually winning DESPITE our coaches/gameplans is a positive at least. The talent is there.
  20. Fans have been saying NH is bad for weeks now. Many questioned whether or not it was EJ or NH or both. After 4 games with Orton, it's clear that the problem was both NH and EJ and now only NH remains as a problem. His lack of creativity is offensive. Nobody is saying that we shouldn't run the ball. But what about the runs that we're calling - it's essentially the same play over and over again. It's not just this week - though this week was embarrassing - it's been all season. Fans have said it and now even the media says how predictable our playcalling is. All season: no sweeps, almost no screens, no misdirection runs, little play action, etc. All season, not just against the Jets. All season. People keep saying that we won the game so lay off. That's fine, but we had 6 turnovers that game and that's not going to happen every week. Schwartz and the defense get the credit - not NH. Being up one score at half time after all those turnovers is an embarrassment and everyone knows it. Raise your hand if you felt good going in at half time? NH had zero to do with those turnovers so why should anyone lay off of him? People can continue to be blind to it this week b/c we "won" but it's going to cost us sooner rather than later. His job is to call plays that result in points on every drive - that's his job in a nutshell. And he sucks at it more often than not.
  21. KC will dink/dunk us to death and control the clock - that's my greatest fear. We'll see. Mistake free football and stay positive on turnover differential and we have a very good chance to win.
