  1. LOL. I actually think that between the Pats, GB, and Denv, we have the best chance to beat Denver. Why? Peyton Manning is about as mobile as a slug with salt on it. Our pass rush could create some serious pressure and cause him to throw a couple of Int's. Also, Orton going back to Denver will light them up for 300yds and 2-3 TD's.
  2. It's posts like this that make me lose my mind. It's even more disconcerting that people like the OP have the right to vote. Give me a beer.
  3. I actually thought there was a lot of positives to take out of today's game: 1. Our defense is simply sick. 2. NH finally called some run plays that were somewhat more creative. 3. We managed to get the Brown involved in the passing game (which should've been done with Spiller) 4. Most important: The pass protection was phenomenal considering Orton was only sacked 1 time vs. a team ranked near the top in sacks. We lost this game due to the screw-ups of two players: Brown and McKelvin. Simple as that. This isn't rocket science. There's no need to look into something that's not there. Brown and McKelvin lost us the game. End of story. Move on.
  4. There is something that concerns me about this teams inability to consistently score TD's in the red zone. We leave way too many points on the table and it cost us today and has almost cost us other weeks. Where the fault lies in that respect im not 100% sure. Player execution is certainly to blame in part bc we've had quite a fe fumbles in red zone this yr. But i suspect that playcalling may be the greater fault we have when it comes to moving the ball in the red zone. Not sure but its quickly becoming this teams greatest liability.
  5. EJ stunted his own career growth with his horrible accuracy
  6. Today the below average QB won. This game was lost by the 2 turnovers. Any further discussion on what cost us the game is a waste of time.
  7. The McKelvin fumble. Even w brown fumbling we still had the lead AND momentum. The mckelvin fumble was THE game changer.
  8. And why did they only score 13pts?
  9. Why is there a thread about orton after this game? Who fumbled the game away?
  10. Players lost this game, not the coaches. Mckelvin and Brown accounted for a net of -11points on the board. This was a game we had and lost. Its games like these that doom your season.
  11. So who you going with this week?
  12. You were 100% right man. As a bills fan my view was jaded. Go bills!
  13. I understand your point but just want to point out the obvious: manziel lives in an era where everyone has a phone w a camera, there are industries fully dedicated to exploiting and covering athletes, and then throw in the explosion of social media. Kelly may have been able to keep a lot of his actions private bc it was a heck of a lot easier to do so 20-30yrs ago.
  14. JOHNNY FOOTBALL?!?!?!?!?
  15. If information presented is credible and corroborated an investigation will ensue. What happens from there is unpredictable. Just bc theres an investigation doesnt mean a crime has been committed - thats a whole other process.
  16. This is potential gold for feds. If TMZ even has a smidgen of evidence they will investigate. Txt messages, phone records, emails, bank accts, social media accts will all be subpoen'd.
  17. I agree about Browns. The AFC North and NFC South have seriously screwed me over this season in pick 'em leagues. All of the teams are so up and down it's hard to predict week to week.
  18. I feel that head coaches like Cowher and Dungy achieved success at a specific period in time in the NFL (for Dungy more b/c of who his QB was) and that success can't be easily replicated 10yrs later. Just like players have a "window" of success in the NFL, I feel coaches also have a time period of success (usually longer than that of a player for obvious reasons) where they reach their pinnacle and then for a myriad of reasons their career begins to fizzle out. There's a reason why not many coaches have taken multiple teams to the playoffs and even less coaches have taken more than one team to the super bowl.
  19. Man after watching last night's Bengals game, it never ceases to amaze me how quickly things change in the NFL at the QB position. There were always some questions around Dalton but man oh man I think last night may have been the final nail in that coffin. http://boards.bengals.com/showthread.php?t=127799 Dalton's start rivaled that of Geno Smith vs. the Bills 2 weeks ago. Dalton has a 7 year 97 MILLION dollar contract and won't become a free agent until 2021. Ouch. (I think $17m of that is guaranteed money).
  20. I'm not sure about Orton - but Dalton sure as F ain't the guy.
  21. That woulda really sucked. Last minute I changed the Bengals D from my fantasy team this week, so hopefully it's a sign of good things to come.
  22. I can't think that far away
