  1. I gave him two A's. This team is stocked w talent. If EJ had been able to live up to his end of the bargain a bit more this team could've made the playoffs last season already.
  2. That's exactly why I have them at 9-7/10-6: solid D + solid QB.
  3. Ah, gotcha about Pettine. Yeh Week 1 can definitely be crazy don't disagree about that.
  4. But Fitz is not playing against the Jets The Jets defense is very solid - the Browns don't have a QB and they don't have any WR. This is the best matchup the Jets could possibly have week 1. Fitz is the best QB in this game and the Jets D should dominate the Browns putrid offense. And the Jets are at home. I don't personally think the new coach argument has much weight at all. Not my favorite matchup though. Still prefer WAS over MIA or GB over CHI
  5. Jets are a very very solid pick as well.
  6. Normally a very good decision and I agree 100%. But can you honestly see Rodgers losing to this Bears team...lol. I think for numerous reasons Mia over Was is my most comfortable choice.
  7. What about cincy over Oakland? I feel every time I pick cincy they lose. Anyone here big on Oakland? I struggled with the Pats as well. And I think I'm pretty objective when it comes to putting money on games but as bad as Pitt's D may be, the Pat's D may be even worse. I would expect the Pats to win this game, but I don't think it's going to be easy at all. I could see a 31-35 game
  8. I would not touch Carolina over Jacksonville at all. I'm down on the Panthers, as bad as the Jaguars have been. Seattle should obviously beat the Rams but Seattle away from home is not the same dominant team and the Rams have a pretty dominant D-line.
  9. I liked that one too, but I'm still uncertain about Bridgewater and I'd like to see AP run behind that average O-line for a couple of weeks before I start picking the Vikings. Also, I think the 49ers still have the best QB in that matchup. But yeh, they were up there too just b/c the 49ers should be putrid.
  10. If you were going to drop some serious cash on one game in Week 1, which would it be? I'm looking at the Dolphins over the Redskins or the Packers over the Bears. I hate having to go with road teams but the Dolphins' D-line should destroy the Redskins pathetic O-line and Cousins is a turnover machine. Dolphins have the better D and the better QB. Should be a relatively easy win, despite being a home opener for the Redskins - especially due to the lack of excitement in DC for that team. The Packers are simply head and shoulders above the Bears, who are an absolute mess. The Bears switched to a 3-4 and I don't even think they have the players for that scheme yet. Their Defense sucked last year and it should be even worse this year. Packers own the Bears. Who else do you like?
  11. Though I don't think they'll be bad, I think the Dolphins are probably the most overrated team: they have absolutely zero depth and their O-line is still not good. I just don't see them as a lock for the playoffs as many people appear to be predicting this year. I see them at 8-8 and Philbin goes bye-bye
  12. #rogueinjuryreport
  13. Possibly..i guess it would also depend on where we are with our W/L record. If TT goes down and we're 4-2 or 5-3 I would fully expect MC to go in there. If TT goes down and we're 3-5 or 3-6 maybe EJ goes in there.
  14. It appears that the EJ era is over if he's not even the backup QB so the only way I see him being the starter again is if both TT and Cassel go down with injuries or both are complete abominations.
  15. I agree about the Giants. Coughlin should've gone out on top back in 2011. He's going to regret his decision as his legacy in NY will be tarnished between last season and this upcoming 6-10 season.
  16. Possibly. Though it's also more likely he wanted to go where his friend Marshawn is, which also happens to be a phenomenal team, with phenomenal fans, and what appears to be a phenomenal team atmosphere. There is a lot of nonsense buzzing around the Pats and BB seems like he could be a pain to play for, despite his success.
  17. Under Rex I fully expect our Run D to be improved and be near top 5 but I expect our Pass D to possibly take a slight step back as a result of not producing as many sacks. Overall, they'll probably be around the same again - top 5 overall, but with a decline in sacks they may not appear as dominant.
  18. What bothers me is that you act like 10-6 is somehow bad. When was the last time we were 10-6? How in Hades do you honestly expect any objective person who doesn't reside in Buffalo to predict that the Bills go 12-4 or 11-5 with a QB like Taylor? You know who goes 12-4/11-5 in the NFL? Teams with QBs named Brady Rodgers or Manning or Rapelessburger. It's going to be almost impossible for our defense to be much better than last season. We can't possibly expect Taylor to set the world on fire. And our schedule appears a bit tougher this season than last, though that will remain to be seen. 10-6 with a playoff birth? I'll sign up for that right now with a smile on my face. Only a handful of teams in nfl get more than 11 wins usually. No reason to get offended by 10-6.
  19. I just can't see 12-4. "It's hard to win in the NFL" haha. All kidding aside, it is hard to win in the NFL and especially when you don't have a solid, consistent QB. The best record in the NFL last season was 12-4. IMO our schedule was slightly easier than it appears to be this year though it's sometimes hard to predict how some teams will do from year to year based on injuries. I think an upside of 10-6 and a downside of 6-10 is very fare.
  20. 1. YOLOINOHIO from TSW The end.
  21. I wish Graham would name someone already and stop being so vague about everything.
  22. maybe I'm just slow, but I still need clarity on what TG considers "football ops." Is Rex aware of this football ops?
