HAHA. I chuckled at that. -

I would prefer to keep EJ here. Tyrod has yet to play an entire season in the NFL. -

Not on our end, but I think Tyrod was drafted in the 6th round, like 180th pick (pretty darn close to 7th round). -
Is Tyrod the most Athletic QB ever?
bobobonators replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. Russell Wilson 2. Russell Wilson 3. Russell Wilson Never gets hit hard b/c his agility is unmatched. Can outrun most defenders. Has a cannon for an arm (which is also accurate). Smart. -
haha.. EXACTLY.

I get what you're saying, but what I don't get is why the outrage as if this hasn't been done before. Have you been to Bank of America Stadium? It LITERALLY looks like you're entering a BofA branch and the entire stadium looks like a giant ATM.
-
That's cool, but I'm just using other teams as a point of comparison b/c there's a precedent for naming rights, and that precedent is as follows: boring. Bank of America stadium: looks like an ad. Metlife: looks like an ad. Gillette: looks like an ad. Centurylink Field: looks like an ad. Ford Field? same Lucas Oil Stadium? same. etc. What's the theme here? Naming rights are an AD. The company that's paying hundreds of millions of dollars to place their name on your stadium isn't going to CHANGE their advertising campaign/company logo just to make the stadium look "cool." It would defeat the entire purpose of their advertisement. It's common sense actually.

Darren Sharper sentenced to 18 years
bobobonators replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My opinion exactly. He's already got 2 years in towards his 18; and you know he'll get probation before the remaining 16 are served. He's only 40yrs old now - he'll be out by his early 50's with a million in the bank still. -
-
It does look like an advertisement of sorts - but that is exactly what it is. Naming rights are the ultimate ad, so why be bothered by it? I'm just glad the name sounds "cool" - that's about as much concern as I have in this matter. You think Pats fans care about how the ad for their "Gillette Stadium" looks? Because it looks like dog poop compared to ours, IMO.

The sad reality (IMO) is that regardless of marijuana's legal status, players like Dareus will typically end up shooting themselves in the foot because they lack something between the ears. Arguing over the legality of marijuana in the US is a pointless venture in this thread because the issue at heart for MD and NFL players in general isn't about a drug's legality, it's about the intellectual wherewithal (or lack thereof) of certain players in the league to stay out of trouble. The perfect example in my opinion Adderall. Adderall is perfectly legal in this country and can be taken by NFL players if they have a legitimate medical need; yet how many players have gotten suspended over the years because they said screw it, I'm taking it regardless of approval. Dozens and dozens of players have gotten suspended. There are dozens of other lesser known drugs that are perfectly legal to be in possession of (with a legitimate prescription), but are still banned (or you still need to at least obtain prior clearance by the NFL) by the NFL for possible performance enhancing effects. Alcohol is perfectly legal too. Yet how many DWI/DUI's are players arrested for every year? The list goes on and on. In short, players like Dareus have every single tool imaginable at their disposal to succeed yet they can't get out of their own way because they're mentally weak and quite frankly, pretty dumb. Unfortunately for Dareus, no legislation on this planet can help him in that regard.

Are you implying that Rex either verbally tells his players to smoke weed or Rex's actions somehow contribute to MD smoking weed? MD is a repeat offender. This is a MD problem and nobody else's. It's a fact - some people are their own worst enemies. Sadly for us fans, MD is one of those people.

90% of the affection towards Fred is that he was a feel good story. Undrafted player that came out of nowhere: 2009 NFL all purpose yards leader First player in NFL history with 1,000 rushing and 1,000 kickoff return yards. He had something like 8,000 rushing/receiving yards for us. Great guy all around. Whats so difficult to understand about the love for him?

Reggie Ragland to have knee surgery; out for season
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dont lose enthusiasm. The success of this team will still depend on the following elements: 1. Continued development of Tyrod. 2. Health of Sammy and Shady. 3. Improving defensive execution. -

Who still managed to go 7-8-1 in 2014 - in a horrible division. -

Around this time last year I remember thinking to myself how bad the Carolina Panthers were going to be in 2015. They came off a below average 7-8-1 season in 2014 and then lost top WR Kelvin Benjamin to a torn ACL in the preseason. A suspect offense was going to be severely hurt I thought to myself. Instead, they go on to have one of the best seasons in NFL history, going 15-1 with a trip to the Super Bowl. Everyone else needs to step up their game. Stay positive. Move forward. Go Bills. -
RD 1, Pick 19: DE Shaq Lawson, Clemson University
bobobonators replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So happy with the Lawson pick. Filling an obvious need with a great prospect. Go bills -
I thought leodis was a very average player and frequently injured. Never lived up to expectations. He'll find a home elsewhere though bc hes certainly depth at a minimum. Not a major loss imo

JPP suing Schefter, ESPN for posting medical records

JPP isnt filing this by himself and playing lawyer. Im sure he obtained pretty good counsel and the suits determined the merits of his case. -
Scathing article in NYDN on Peyton Manning
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone hates Brady because of his unmatched success. Because the patriots cheat. Because hes a pretty boy. Because hes married to a super model. Because they are envious of all of the above. Its hard to find a qb similar to Cam in terms of personality on the field. One qb that comes to mind is Philip Rivers. Very vocal. Can definitely rub opposing fans the wrong way bc of his antics on the field. Has been successful in the league. But yet nowhere near as polarizing as Cam. -
Scathing article in NYDN on Peyton Manning
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see absolutely nothing wrong with this article. Its an op-ed piece like a million other op-ed pieces that express personal opinions on a subject matter. Whether or not you think the guy has an agenda is irrelevant. Quite frankly you getting on your soap box and calling other people names because you think you somehow know he has an agenda while others do not is laughable at best. The fact that the article is skewed in one direction isnt a revolutionary discovery on your behalf. You're apparently the only true simpleton here to think such a thing. -
Are you one of those Mets and Yankees fans too?

running backs on playoff teams
bobobonators replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately the bills do think its an important position. Rex has always loved being able to run the ball and our offense with Roman focuses on the run. There is a reason we traded for lesean and drafted Karlos. -
IF the Bills cut Shady McCoy...the 2nd thread
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes that would be a concern then. Unfortunately ive been out of the loop on this years up oming draft so outside of the obvious names i havent done much research. The way i look at it though, without shady you know Karlos is going to miss a couple of games - especially if hes taking on RB1 workloads. Other offenses who pass the ball 40-50 times a game, losing RBs isnt that big of a deal (hence the RB dime a dozen logic. But for this Bills offense i dont think RBs are going to be a dime a dozen. We need some talent at that position.
