Allen Edmunds Oliver Harrison Phillips Wyat Teller Knox Gabe Davis Bass Taron Johnson off the top of my head. You could maybe add Singletary Hes above average. How many all-pro draft picks do you think a GM lands that turn all-pro? Maybe 1-2 every 5 years. Maybe. Your expectations are abnormal. Thats a you problem, not a Beane problem. This team is loaded with Beane draft picks across the starting lineup. A starting lineup that has consistently excelled over the past few seasons.

It’s obvious what ails the Bills, they’re softer than custard.

When you get manhandled at the LOS by 3rd stringers that’s not a talent problem - thats a lack of physicality problem. That’s another team wanting it more kind of problem. Call it mentally soft or physically soft or both. But call it what it is. -
What Are Your Expectations For The 2023 Season?

AFCCG. Anything less will be a letdown. -

I said the very same thing the day of the loss. This has been the second time in the McD era we get bullied and manhandled in a playoff game. I dont know how to fix that though. At least not from one season to the next… -
I thought the Bills had one of the deepest rosters in the league. 1. Either we truly don’t. 2. We do but numerous key injuries played a role. 3. We do but several players underperformed + key injuries. 4. #3 + #2 + our coaching staff did not do enough to bring out the talent.

Bills Coaching Staff Changes Thread
bobobonators replied to hellofellowbillsfans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. The reality is we have good defensive players and overall a good defense. But we don’t want to just be good we need to be great to try and win a Super Bowl. Frazier is not taking us to the next level. Hes just not. In big games we dont perform. Other DC replacements likely come bc the defense has been horrible to begin with and/or the defense lacks talent. Thats not the case here. I think scheme is 80% of the problem. -
Should we trade Ed Oliver?
bobobonators replied to Floridagatorsbuffalobills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do not want to keep Frazier. Likelihood of Oliver having his best season next year is probably pretty good. We see it all the time. Thats what I meant by safe. Plus I’d love to see what a new DC could do with Oliver. -

Oliver had a stretch this season where he looked good. I think many of us thought he turned the corner. Then injuries hit. I think ultimately that’s what really kept him down this season. We arent going to get much at all for him. He could have a career year next season as he’ll be paying for a contract. Safest thing to do is keep him imo. -
Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for 2 first round picks?

The NFC is such a joke of a conference when Kirk Cousins is your second best QB -
Some of the greatest HC in NFL history didn’t win a Super Bowl in their first few year. I have patience with McD. However, there are schematic deficiencies that need to be addressed. And if he doesn’t adjust he’ll seal his own fate.

I honestly dont know. We lost bc we were out-schemed, and out-muscled. How do you fix that other than the obvious? Frazier has to go. McD stays and realizes he’s the HC and not the DC - so if that means hiring a DC who has a different approach than you so be it. Dorsey gets one more year. Allen statistically had the same year as last so he didn’t regress. BUT there were times this offense really kinda looked lost. Elephant in the room is this team’s lack of a mean streak. We have gotten physically overmatched in the trenches at least 2x in the last few years in the playoffs. We are not a physical, tough team. Hard to fix that in one off season. Hard to bank on Buffalo having a nice sunny day with the conditions being just right for our soft players to perform at a high level.

McBeane's constant use of premium draft picks on role players
bobobonators replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Its hard to argue against the points in this thread. -
I would’ve gone for it end of 2nd quarter instead of punting it away. We lost all momentum. It would’ve been a gamble for sure - but we needed to score points this game bc we weren’t stopping Cincy on defense. Not putting up any points to make it a one score game at half really killed any possible momentum imo.

Something has to change on defense. Burrow and Mahomes are not going anywhere. Lawrence will only get better. We cant play bend dont break zone defense vs QB’s like that. 3rd and 10 wont mean anything. They will carve us up and win TOP 9 out of 10 times. It puts so much pressure on our offense to be perfect.

Im fine with McD being our HC as long as Frazier is gone, AND McD acknowledges he is the HC and not the DC of this team. That means he hires someone who may change the DNA of this defense - which is what we need. Part of being a great leader is recognizing what and who to delegate things to. Im also very unsure of Dorsey. Id be willing to give him one more year. But Frazier has to go. Beane needs to speak to how we have invested so many resources to the DL and they’re so underwhelming.

Post-game thoughts after a disappointing loss
bobobonators replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Biggest complaint during McD era: we are soft. This is not the first time we have been manhandled at the LOS under McD in the playoffs. I dont know how we overcome that. Enjoy your families ladies and gentleman. Don’t let this loss/team ruin your personal lives.
