  1. The TT contract wouldnt put us in cap hell. 20ish highest paid QB out of 32 teams is cap hell? What would you consider Dareus? Joe flacco is the 2nd highest paid QB next yr. TT would be exactly at 20. Below Jay cutler. I honestly dont know what people complain or argue about anymore. http://overthecap.com/position/quarterback/2017/
  2. Ok, now go look up the same numbers for every QB in the NFL and report back to us. Throwing out a number with no point of reference is useless. 9-8 in games where we score 25 or more indicates the Defense/ST cant carry their weight. Top 10 in scoring over 2 seasons. We score enough. Offense is 1/3 of a team.
  3. Why dont you look it up yourself instead of creating an imaginary argument that cant be objectively proven without a small army of analysts looking at every Game every QB in the NFL has played in their careers to account for your subjective stat. Go look up the info yourself and report back to us.
  4. Correct, we need to improve on that. However, as has been stated in numerous other posts, there is very little correlation between 3 and outs and TEAM success. The Patriots, Giants, Dolphins, Broncos are all worse than us in that regard (yes, the Patriots rank below us); and we're within 1% point of Oakland, Titans, and Lions. 4 of the Top 5 teams in the category didn't make the playoffs: Redskins, Saints, Panthers, Chargers.
  5. Pretty much. The chiefs are well coached, limit stupid plays and penalties, and make big time defensive/ST plays. We dont. Thats the difference in a nutshell. Goal #1 is to imrpove the coaching.
  6. I know I sound like Doug Whaley in this thread, but this is how close the Bills are to being a perennial 10-6/11-5 team if we stay the course on offense, improve the defense, and play smarter with better coaching. Since 2015, the Chiefs are 15 - 1 in games where they score 25 points or more. Five of those 16 games were 1 score games. So the majority of their wins when they score 25 or more end up being blowouts. Since 2015, the Bills are 9 - 8 in games where they score 25 points or more. 6 of our losses (75% of our losses) in those 17 games were by 1 score. We're 15-17 in that 2 year stretch and the Chiefs are 23 - 9. Only looking at these games, had the Chiefs done as badly as us in such games (say they go 9-7), they would have about the same record as us during the same 2yr stretch.
  7. Ive heard people pine for Jim Bob Cooter and the modern offense that he runs in Detroit. A modern offense that heading into week 17 ranked in the 20s in points scored. With Stafford at QB. Stafford accounted for a whopping 3 more TD's this season than TT with TT playing in 1 less game. Cousins and his 5000 yards passing finished 8-7-1.
  8. Gotcha. I just dont view it as a tool though. Its a reality. Hes either injured or not. He saw/will see a specialist.
  9. Wait so just to be clear, you think TT is faking his injury?
  10. Bad look if youre a HC candidate. Just my opinion of course.
  11. Doug whaley doesnt know what Russ does and the reporters dont know what Whaley does.
  12. Apparently nobody knows who is in charge of what at OBD. From outside looking in, its dysfunctional. Perception is reality unfortunately.
  13. It's amazing McVay is only 30. He's a guy that will be coaching soon enough; but perhaps he needs a couple of more years as coordinator in order to mature. Shanahan is 37 and has been coaching in the NFL for over a decade. I can see Shanahan really wanting the Denver job.
  14. You're a ray of sunshine I want us to take bpa. Dont care of the position. Could be a RT for all i care. Cant miss though.
  15. Its Tom Brady. Theres only one of those.
  16. The poor guy was forced to start EJ yesterday. Any and all evaluation ends there.
  17. In a perfect world i wanT Schwartz at Hc and Lynn as OC. Second choice would be Lynn as HC and Bradley as DC.
  18. Anyone judging Lynn by yesterday's game has the IQ of a nat.
  19. I see both sides and I wish i knew how it went down. Taylor came off his best game as a pro a game where the Bills had the most yards from scrimmage ever (i believe) with several 14 pt comebacks within the game. Then the plug was pulled not by AL but by mgmt. Business decision is a vague term to use. So if he didnt get a full explanation then yeh it has to be frustrating. Its natural. He also could have said something like I know I have to continue to improve every week as a QB and make this offense even better, etc. I think the main problem is the business decision wording and if anyone properly spoke to tt about it. He has been the starting QB for 2 seasons now. A conversation isnt too much to ask for Id expect. We say we expect leadership from our QB but if our GM isnt even sitting down to properly explain why their forcing the coach to bench someone then where is the leadership from up above? The fish rots you know where first. But again, i dont know how it went down and what was said and what wasnt said.
  20. For comparison shady not playing vs NE and still scoring 25. Or having 8 attempts vs Mia and scoring another 25. And another 5 attempts vs Cincy and still winning.
