  1. Crusher, when you ask a question or make a statement and then answer your own question or agree with your own statement, that's not called being right, it's called being clinically insane.
  2. Yes, everyone should aspire to follow the Browns model. People are going off the deep end in this thread. "We should be like the Browns!!!" Too much madden around here from the looks of it.
  3. You're right. We should chase 1-15 instead. Christ.
  4. I think a lot of the new people are missing your sarcasm.
  5. First of all im not going to play what if with Watkins. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Second of all, we spent a first on Gilmore and got half a decade out of him. Move on. Maybe watkins should focus on actually being on the field.
  6. You never heard of Gilmore island? We're comparing Gilmore to maybe the second best CB in the history of the NFL. Sounds about right considering we're constantly comparing every QB to Brady.
  7. If he produces like he has and wants to be paid like Julio jones, yes we should.
  8. Fair enough. But again though, we're really not competing with the Pats. We're competing with the KC, Titans, Ravens of the world for the wild card spot. Its just a reality until Brady retires along with BB. Its just a reality. Let them acquire all the FA's out there and go 16-0 for all i care
  9. Agreed on Cooks but they have to give up a really good player for him. Marshall wouldve just been $$$ Marshall, butler, gilmore >> than Cooks, Gilmore
  10. Again, im not saying Gilmore is a bad player. Hes a good player. We got half a decade out of him with very little success. We got his best years. Is Gimore as good as Patrick Peterson or Richard Sherman? No. But the pats are paying him as if he is. Bc they have Brady and can afford to cut corners throughout the roster. We cant.
  11. Agree on the 2 automatic losses. But Gilmore isnt really head and shoulders better than what they already had at CB. Them getting Brandon Marshall or an elite pass rusher wouldve scared me more.
  12. Exactly. So if he has played well and the defense has still sucked why would the Bills make him the 2nd highest paid CB? Obviously his play hasnt been a game changer. Theres no Gilmore island last i heard.
  13. Again, the pats were going 13-3 with or without Gilmore. Who cares. At least Gilmore didnt go to the dolphins. Im not phased at all by it.
  14. Its not al Gilmore's fault. But Gilmore has been in Buffalo how long? That defense has had several stinkers with him on it.
  15. Agreed. But honestly why are we even giving so much attention to the pats? Nothing is changing. Theeyre going 13-3 regardless of what they do. Its BB and Brady everything else is just noise. Let them get every single player i say. Makes the rest of the league easier to beat
  16. We were trying to make the playoffs last year and Gilmore's defense averaged giving up 33 points a game in 5 games vs the Jets, Dolphins, and Pats. 33 points per game against. Let that sink in, and then move on.
  17. Hes a good CB. But many people around the league feel hes not great. Hes about to be paid top 2-3 CB $ by a team with the geeatest QB in the history of the NFL and the greatest HC in the history of the NFL. That team can afford to carry a roster that would probably go 4-12 without said HC and QB and thus they can afford to make a big splash and overpay a good CB by paying him as if he was patrick peterson. Hes not patrick peterson. We're better for it. Move on.
  18. It is. I think 14.5m/yr would make him 2nd highest paid CB in the NFL.
  19. I look at it this way. Let them get every single FA in the market. At least the rest of the teams dont get better. Lol. I know. Sad.
  20. Great signing for them
  21. This argument is so silly. Well according to you, about 25 other QBs arent pro bowl QBs.
  22. Additional reasons for staying. People seem to overlook how much success the offense had while he was here. The offense was breaking Bills records for scoring and going into week 17 was like 6th in the NFL. Mostly without Sammy playing. TT knows hes got a good thing here on the offensive side. Hes still getting a crapload of guaranteed money.
  23. 1. Because maybe he and his agent realized it would pretty much be between the bears and the browns. And neither of those opportunities were attractive to him compared to buffalo. 2. The total amount of guaranteed money hes missing out on over the life of the contract isnt that substantial when you have to consider moving ur family again and going to unknowns with new teams one of which is a massive dumpster fire in the Browns. Maybe he feels pretty comfortable with an offensive coordinator he knows and the new HC? And that alone is worth staying bc he knows his career can still improve. 3. Ive never met the guy or know him in any way. But from everything ive read it seems like he kinda goes to the beat of his own drummer. Just throwing some things out there to counter.
