  1. I agree with the other posters in general. However I did find it nice that he called out the Redskins for not going no-huddle or even showing any urgency in the 4th quarter until their last drive. Too often that happens and it is never mentioned. Things weren't going well for them, but the Redskins basically quit.
  2. I'm not very optimistic about this year. I think we'll be closer to about 3 wins which would still put us in contention for the #1 pick. I'd love to be proved wrong.
  3. I agree 100% You can talk all you want about Trent's talent but for whatever reason he plays scared and if he ever did have the respect of his teammates, he doesn't now. It was so frustrating to watch him play as a fan. Trent's pathetic play is a big reason we now have an interim coach.
  4. I'm not saying I want JP back, but if he had stayed QB we would have had at least the same number of wins we had under Trent and probably a couple more. And the offense wouldn't have been the snooze fest it has become the last year and a half. We'd still be looking for a QB for next year. But I don't think it would have gotten to the point were I stopped watching Bills games because the offense was so boring and timid. Just glad I never got a number 7 or number 5 or number 14 Bills jersey.
  5. I agree 100%. I don't even care anymore. My entire life I've looked forward to Sundays and watching the Bills. When I lived out of the area for a while I would go to bars and watch every week. I think the FO is playing with fire. I know lots of Bills fans who feel the same way. How many will never care again? This is such a mess.
  6. That's it right there. Neither one is a starting QB. The search goes on...
  7. This whole thread is ridiculous. Nothing wrong with fans expressing their opinions. Having said that I think this team is disgusting. 5 games in and players are already quitting. Not all of them but more than a few. I can live with being beaten by more talented teams. But this team is pitiful.
  8. Ok there's problems with this team everywhere. But I'm hoping some one who was at the game can answer this question. Watching on TV it's pretty hard to tell if guys are getting open unless the QB throws the ball their way. So my question is are these guys open? Is TE really afraid to throw it in there? Or are TO and LE just dogging it. The players and coaches know the answer but they will never say. But I think if you are at the game you can get a pretty good sense of where the problem is.
  9. That has got to be the funniest thing I have ever read on this board!! Man that is classic!!!
  10. We are not middle of the pack. How can you deny this is one of the worst teams in the league? Because we have one win? Open your eyes and try to put yesterday in perspective. Miami is not a good team and they dominated!!
  11. As much as the Bills were going nowhere with JP it beats the crap out of what we have now. Sure JP was maddening but at least he wasn't afraid to throw the ball downfield. Between all the horrible games there were games where JP threw for 300 yds and was fun to watch. Even when he sucked I at least got the feeling he was giving it his all and leaving it all on the field. TE is not fun to watch. Even my 84 year old mother in law who can't remember who the Bills are playing from quarter to quarter knows TE is afraid to throw the ball. Sadly I don't think it's Trent's fault. I think it's been drilled into him at every turn - DON'T TURN THE BALL OVER!! Now he's so gun shy that it's hard to imagine a good result. I think the kid had a chance to be a quality NFL quarterback. That's looking less likely every week.
  12. I think I agree with MattyT. I think when Dick is gone we'll look back and say see Turk was right. He just went about things all wrong. But I can't imagine anybody giving him a job in the future. It wasn't like he was a brilliant OC to begin with.
  13. If I remember right McNally coached Peters when he had his breakout year. He wasn't around to see the blob he has become. He may do well in Philly. But that doesn't mean he would have in Buffalo.
  14. I think they should hire someone already on the payroll...Bobby April.
  15. You make a good point that Ralph Wilson is a business man first. That is how he has always run the Bills. And the businessman in him must know that bringing back DJ is going to be a disaster from a PR and fan based level. How can you possibly expect fans to shell out their money for seats next year if you bring this guy back? He is clearly incompetent from a football perspective. How can you possibly hope fans will buy into the fact that we are ready to compete in our division if he returns? Fans aren't going to buy it. No way.
  16. Seems to me this problem goes back to JP being yanked 4 games into his career. If he had played the whole year we would know better what kind of QB he will be. That's over and done. We will never know until he gets a legit shot. If he ever does. All you guys saying he sucks don't have a clue. But the same thing goes for TE. It's too early to tell what kind of QB he'll be. But it is starting to look like he might be injury prone. But it doesn't matter for this year. The playoffs are out of the question. And no way JP's coming back next year under any circumstances I can see. So when TE is healthy let him play. That's the only way to find out how good he is. Or if he can play in bad weather. But I do know I'd rather have a QB that chucks the ball downfield and gives it his best shot rather than someone who is afraid to throw upfield. The QB play this last month has been awful. I gotta believe that TE is still feeling effects from the hit in Arizona. And that's scary.
