Not a big deal but always interesting to see where the Bills stack up in the eyes of the so called "analysts." And yes, these are the same power rankings that had our Bills ranked as high as #3 last year. Remember that? THE LINK: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast ESPN power rankings: AFC East analysis July 27, 2009 12:30 PM From Tim Graham Here is how the AFC East falls in the latest rankings, drawn up by ESPN senior writers John Clayton and Jeffri Chadiha, AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky and NFC West blogger Mike Sando. No. 2 New England Patriots * Best rating: No. 2 * Worst rating: No. 2 * Note: Across the board, they were slotted behind the defending champions. Rightfully so. No. 15 Miami Dolphins * Best rating: No. 11 (Chadiha) * Worst rating: No. 19 (Clayton) * Note: The eight-spot disparity between the best and worst ratings was the second-widest behind the Arizona Cardinals, who were rated seventh by Sando and 16th by Clayton. No. 21 Buffalo Bills * Best rating: No. 18 (Clayton) * Worst rating: No. 23 (Kuharsky, Sando) * Note: Clayton has been the most vocal supporter of Buffalo's offseason, but 18th still finishes way out of the playoffs. He also dropped them four spots since May's power rankings. No. 23 New York Jets * Best rating: No. 21 (Kuharsky, Sando) * Worst rating: No. 26 (Clayton) * Note: No truth to the rumor Channing Crowder was consulted for the balloting.

From my understanding, Reed is very important to Trent Edwards. Trent likes to throw to him, especially on 3rd downs. So with that being said, you dont trade josh reed. If anyone, you would trade Roscoe (whom they previously shopped) but Steve Johnson is not participating in camp because of ribs-so you may just wanna keep everyone because of injuries

What girl would you ask to "fix you tv"-that seem strange to anyone else? LOL

LINK: http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/7/12/...bills-1989-1993 After reading this article, man do I miss the glory days. Obviously the only thing that we did not do during this time was WIN the Superbowl, but other than that, those teams were awesome and just REALLY FUN to watch. Also, during that time, our front office looked absolutely brilliant. They drafted REALLY well, made great trades (c.bennett) and signed key free agents (j.lofton) during that time. If you look at our roster, the main players all came from GREAT DRAFTS! Man, I wish we won the superbowl! Lets hope that the NO-HUDDLE and a revitalized Offense can make this season an interesting one- GO BILLS!!

Antoine Winfield frustrated by Vikes

Dan, this is random but any chance that you are from Utica, NY or no? That is where I am from but now live in SC. -
Will you be buying Madden 2010?
toddgurley replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, I am a madden fan. I like college football too, but if could only buy one it would be Madden 2010. Am interested to see this new franchise mode. And at least the Bills will be good with me controlling them-LOL. -
Sources: Steve McNair threatened by woman hours before his murder LINK: http://msn.foxsports.com/rumors/nfl According to several NashvillePost.com sources, it is at Blue Moon Lagoon where Steve McNair's evening took an ominous turn. While sitting with friends at the restaurant (sources say that Kazemi was not in the party), a white woman in her early 20s, about 5-foot-4, approached McNair and accused him of slipping her a "roofie" a year ago. The woman then told McNair, according to sources, that her boyfriend was going to kill him. Roofie is a slang term for Rohypnol, a sedative dating back to the early 1970s that is used in hospitals for deep sedation, but is now a fairly infamous date-rape drug. After confronting McNair, sources say that the woman was asked to leave the restaurant. As of now, there is no known connection between the blonde woman's warning and the events that unfolded just a few hours later. It could well be an eerie coincidence. Still, Metro Police are interviewing patrons and staff members at Blue Moon Lagoon. -- Nashville Post .....Ben's Take: Judging by the facts that have been reported, it sure doesn't seem like a murder/suicide. It will be very interesting to see what the detectives in Nashville come up with. This is all very surreal to me, not sure what to think. If you feel this needs to merge with another topic feel free. I just found it pretty interesting. It does nt make too much sense to me. Who is this girl accusing him of giving her a "roofie"? It cant be the girl who was found dead with him, can it?

NOT SURE HOW THIS FIT IN-BUT INTERESTING TO SAY THE LEAST LINK:http://msn.foxsports.com/rumors/nfl Sources: Steve McNair threatened by woman hours before his murder

wow, terrible news. Its true too unfortunately, espn has it. -
LINK: http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/story/722188.html Just curious if any of you football fans will be willing to watch this? I mean we should' nt have to twist your arm too hard or anything. I have seen it briefly during halftime of the superbowl (on other channels) but did not know they were making a "league" out of it. Here is the deal: 10 teams 22 game regular season starting in Sept. 7-on-7 contact football Uniform-bikini tops and shorts Just one question for you guys (and women too) WILL YOU BE WATCHING? I am gonna have to say Yes. Well, atleast at first. Based on the picture of Krystal Gray (QB for New York Majesty) in the link from above, they have my attention. However, I am curious to see how athletic these girls are, how hard they hit and tackle, can they remotely play the game of football, and lastly, how good looking are these girls? So yes, I will tune in at first to see how this "league" is. Now lets just see if it can keep my attention after that.

Worried about the O-line? Read this article
toddgurley replied to toddgurley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have more faith in Butler than walker. Even though I hope both do well. Butler was a tackle in college, has started 30 games at the position, and he is 6'6 (which is a good size for tackles) but time will tell- -
man, i miss good chicken wings. I live in the south (sc) and there is no such things as good chicken wings down here. I am jealous-

Very valid point. -
Rookies undaunted by Buffalo's O-line overhaul LINK: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-9-5/R...e-overhaul.html Read the article by Tim Graham, and you may have a feeling of optimism!!! For some of you Bills fans who do not know what OPTIMISM is, this is the definition: Optimism-a tendency to expect the best, or at least, a favourable outcome. A general disposition to expect the best in all things. (I know some people on this board are not optimsitic about our O-line, but I am) THIS IS WHY (from the article, and I agree) 1. The new guys (Wood, Levitre, and Hangartner) are all tough and have a nasty demeanor, they FINISH BLOCKS! 2. The are vesitile, many of them can play multiple positions. 3. All 5 projected starter are smart, and Hangartner may be the smartest lineman in the league (this is just one of many reason Peters is gone) Reason #3 is Very Important for the NO-HUDDLE. 4. The rookies have a chip on their should, because people doubt them! (Like a lot of people on this message board) The Bills are banking on versatility and intelligence with their crew. They all can play multiple positions. Hangartner started games at center and both guard spots for the Panthers last year because of injuries. And they have impressive brains. Walker has an economics degree from California-Berkley. Butler has interned on Capitol Hill during the offseason. Hangartner scored 47 out of a possible 50 (believed to be the highest score ever by a lineman) on the Wonderlic intelligence test before the 2005 draft. Wood turned down a scholarship to play at Columbia. Levitre was academic All-Pac-10, graduating from Oregon State with degrees in finance and sociology. "I think we're going to have a tough unit up front with a bunch of smart guys," Wood said. "From any offensive line coach you talk to, if you got smart, tough guys, you can make it work if the guys come together." "I love it when people have doubts about us," Levitre said. "It just feels so much better when you can go out there and prove it. It's something to work for. You want to go out there and prove you're not a bad line just because you're new." "Any time everyone's doubting you, you're definitely going to have a chip on your shoulder," Wood said. "That's a challenge we're welcoming. Now I now they lack experience, but there is only 1 way to gain that-and that with PLAYING TIME, and we do technically have 5 pre-season games counting the HOF game. Now I read an article on this message board saying they were way behind and they would not start (chambers and McKinney would start), but I (we as Bills fans) just gotta stay Optimistic about that. This line could be a very good blue collar and nasty line for years to come. DO YOU GUYS FEEL THE OPTIMISM? GO BILLS!

Bills rankings on ESPN ultimate standing
toddgurley replied to toddgurley's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
would have much rather have ran, got stopped, and punted. You have to know as a coach the JP is terrible and not to put the game in his hands when you are winning. I stand by the staetment "worst play call ever" and pretty sure 90% percent of BUFFALO FANS WOULD AGREE. (If your gonna make that play call, it has to be successful, other wise you run it, punt it, and put it in your Defense's hand) but that s the past and we dont really need to go there, besides I am sure we will have plenty to talk about this year GO BILLS! -
Sorry, your post makes me sick. You are the definition of "bang wagon jumper" if you are all of a sudden a Steeler fan.
-
Wait, are you predicting or saying we (Bills) will go 3-13 this year? Absolutely no way
