Relax dude. Its just a strategy. They have no intention of Ellison being on the 53 man roster in September. Teams are not tendering their restricted free agents because they want to keep them. Their only value to their team is "trade value" , and thus posturing to use these players as trade bait. If they don't get what they want in a trade, they will be released.
In Ellison's case, he is highly regarded as a cover linebacker. And, he does have 3 years of NFL starting experience. Someone with a 4-3 defense that needs a linebacker may very well give up a player or 5th or 6th round draft pick.
So, rest assured... Ellison's jersey will be worn by someone else come September.
that'd be weird

Who won the USA vs. Canada game? ohhh yeahhhh! The Bills! err I mean the United States

It could be disatrous for everyone. The way I see it... this team has a olt of bad players... that's why they are a bad team. Gailey ain't gonna simply apply a little bit of bondo to this sorry ass Pinto and make it look like a Ferrari.
Guys like "Maybe", "Hardly", "Twitner", "Pussluzney", "McCarg-NO" would need to earn their way onto the final 53 if I were king for a day.
cheesy. how long did you sit at the keyboard thinking of these "clever" nicknames??

I read an article this morning when I woke up at like 7 that said the Bills are going to find a way to re-sign George Wilson to a long term deal. Sorry I don't have a link, it was early and I can't remember where I saw it. Sorry if this was already posted, but I'm thinking a long term deal for George means SEEYA to Donte? I like donte against the run, but he hasn't lived up to his high draft pick as we all know.
If anyone can find the link, post it for me

Wow. Now that d-bag's head is going to get even bigger than it was when he was just the starting QB at a crappy D1 school. Didn't think it was possible. (I'm UB alum, and have first hand experience with his douchebagedness)

Nix is a smart man so I think he is going to make some prudent acquisitions to improve the team and no moves based on selling tickets. I suspect adding Chris Chambers Ben Watson and Kerry Collins on offense while adding Jarvis Green, Vonnie Holiday, and Tully Banta-Cain on defense. Then move on to the draft and get Buluga and Cody to further beef up the lines.
So the Starting offense is
Buluga-Levitre-Hangartner-Wood-Butler (O-line)
Lee Evans, Chris Chambers, Steve Johnson, and James Hardy at WR
Freddie Jackson and Lynch as the combo at RB.
Nelson and Ben Watson at Tightend
Kerry Collins at QB (With Fitz as the backup and Brohm to learn from Collins)
With the D being
Williams and Jarvis Green at DE (With Spencer Johnson and Vonnie Holiday as the backups)
Mt.Cody and Stroud at NT
OLB- Schobel, Maybin, Banta Cain, and Chris Ellis
MLB- Poz and Mitchel (With Draft picks and free agents being the backup)
CB- McGee, McKelvin, Florence, Corner, and Lankaster
FS- Byrd
SS- Have Whitner and Wilson Compete.
You really believe that we're going to get all of those free agents? not happenin. buddy aint havin that!

I'm not a fan of a quarterback that is not a fan of this team.

Concussions are unpredictable. Sometimes a player can get over it in a week or two.....or a year. Or sometimes they're never the same. At the QB position the brain has to process a lot of information in a very short period of time. It may be that Trent's brain hasn't fully recovered yet. Or worse, it won't recover. That's a sad thing and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
So many physicians on the board!

You do realise Gailey has a winning record right?
I didn't realise that, but I did realize it
-
Maybe because he doesn't suck like many of the "experts" on here think? He's not the greatest, but he doesn't suck either. I saw him play well this year.
AGREED! 2009 was a good year for him.

#9 pick for a 33 year old guy? Good grief.
Yeah because Aaron Maybin/Donte Whitner/John McCargo/Marshawn Lynch are totally better than Donovan McNabb
