The energy sector has done well under Biden. A double since he became President through a combination of policy, demand, supply, and rebound from COVID reasons. One indicator that is particularly troubling for the markets is the high/low data. The number of stocks making 52 week highs vs. the number of stocks making 52 week lows. The recent data I saw for NASDAQ for example, show 5 stocks making highs and 114 making new lows indicate just a handful of stocks are propping up the market and can be an indicator of potential future downside. Hot stocks like NVIDIA riding the current craze for AI may have peaked this week after a reversal from highs after a decent earnings report. Powell's Jackson Hole statements today don't look too supportive of higher stock prices either. I'm going to yellow alert for crash watch to go short.

Trump did not advocate eliminating the Constitution and replace it with decrees and edicts. As usual, context, which were allegations of election fraud. Trump said per CNN “Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” Trump wrote in a post on the social network Truth Social and accused “Big Tech” of working closely with Democrats. “Our great ‘Founders’ did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!” What he should have said was: When the people cheating are also responsible for enforcing the rules what good are the rules?

I'm not so sure Trump "walk into jail" on any of these charges. Of the 4 cases the document case seems like it has the greatest legal argument. Pending hearing the specific evidence and the prosecutors argument, not so much. The Bragg case, falsifying business records. The premise I understand is a payment was made to Daniels that was "improperly" booked to an improper account on the business ledger. Not a numerical error, or a tax payment error, but a transaction was logged to the incorrect sub-ledger account, on purpose. To hide the payment. So what? Generally, the purpose of making a discreet payment under an NDA is to keep things quiet. And what exactly was the tangible damage done to the State of New York or any other party? Nothing. This should get thrown out on day 1. The J6 conspiracy and obstruction charge related to the "insurrection". Real simple. Trump was already charged by the House and acquitted by the Senate for his involvement in fomenting the J6 events with the second impeachment trial. The current charges are double jeopardy. Wouldn't be surprised the first motion the defense makes are this reason for grounds to dismiss the charges, which I don't think this biased judge will grant and then see the defense petition the Supreme Court here requesting the charges be dismissed based on the double jeopardy clause of the Constitution. The Georgia case. Want to hear and see more than discussions and expressions of displeasure with the outcome. Being a sore loser is not a crime if that's what its all about hear. The document case. This one has merit. All Trump had to do was turn over the documents to the Achiever. Stupidity and arrogance.

The American Media Should Not Be Trusted

http://www.bing.com/ A little better. Like many businesses that collect a lot of data, Google has transformed into an information gathering service selling user data to public and private customers interested in user analytics and statistics by gathering information on the whereabouts and activities of users of its services and application on its app store. I occasionally go through my phone apps and set location services to "when in use" rather than "all the time". I figure, why do Wendy's and Taco Bell and other apps need to know where I am all the time? -
Have you been paying attention? Journalism in the traditional sense died after the 2016 election. With few exceptions, they're all activists pushing one view or another.
-
If we eliminated everybody from the political scene that said one thing and believed another. i.e. lying, the place would be empty.
-
Who cares if its worse. Trump isn't the President and whatever he says or does doesn't impact much of anything.

In other news.. "US president Joe Biden has been briefed about the plane crash, Reuters reports the White House saying". Hearing the news,Joe responded that he once died in a plane crash too.

Leftists believe humor is a form of violence, especially satire, and plan on making it illegal for a subject (no citizens anymore) of the State to use humor in any way. -
That's true. China makes loans with onerous teams and then when the borrower can't pay, collects real assets in exchange. That's one reason I'm not really buying a lot of talk about the BRICS launching some gold backed currency. To be that it would have to be redeemable in gold. And China is not going to trade gold for paper. In our system we exchange paper IOU's for real goods and then the holder of those dollars is obligated to return those dollars in exchange for treasury bonds in a scheme so the government can spend more money. When you get down to it all the entire global system of finance is a huge racket. People that do no real work flip and transfer money all over the place, and "earn" a tremendous amount to support a very nice lifestyle while saddling the rest of the population with debt. if they default, the government bails out the fat cats. You or me make a bad investment and lose, its free market capitalism at work. Its a great system, for them. In the reincarnation of my next life I plan to come back as an investment banker!

I think the long and short of it is the dollar reserve and trade settlement system has run its course and slowly, and then all at once, other countries are looking to, and migrating to, other systems of settlement and reserves. Like gold and other currencies. One reason cited for the urgency to utilize alternatives is the recent enthusiasm in Washington to use the dollar's reserve and trade settlement status as a policy tool of extortion via sanctions and asset seizures. The idea is get out of the dollar lest you someday piss off or disobey Washington and they steal your money because its in dollars (their money).

That's correct. But the subtle distinction that requires acknowledgment is there is more than one set of criteria which is applied to determine the "legality" of one's actions.

Global warming err Climate change HOAX
All_Pro_Bills replied to Very wide right's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The question should be do you believe human activity is primarily responsible for climate change? (Taking the quote from Joe's post): "The ocean temperatures off the coast of Baja California are much warmer than usual right now," Swain says. "As much as 3 to 6 Fahrenheit — that's a pretty significant increment of additional hurricane fuel." The part that's provable is hurricanes use warm ocean temperatures to gain strength. Observations and measurements support that. The problem is the other part of that assessment, warmer than usual, is made using ocean temperature readings of around 100 years or maybe a lot less. How do you know what the average ocean temperature, or in the example, warmer than usual, has been over a more extended course of time, say 100,000 years or a 100 million years? Is it higher, lower, the same? Maybe relatively speaking current ocean temperatures are lower than that average, or maybe higher? Nobody has any clue for certain what "normal" climate conditions have been over the course of geological time. These climatologists might be right about things or they might just be pissing into the wind with their eyes closed. -
Now, now, AG Merrick Garland will not stand by while malcontents smear the good name of our men and women in Federal law enforcement dedicated to public service and upholding the law. Unfortunately, for those dedicated agents, Wray and Garland will discipline, re-assign, or fire them if they attempt to investigate and pursue any cases against protected politicians slithering around Washington DC.
