They should all be fired for gross negligence and arresting for providing aid and assistance to our enemies by allowing them to enter the country unencumbered by border security or any proper screening.

Biden is doing something. He's making a deal with Venezuela for more oil and easing financial restrictions on that "brutal dictatorship" which concerns you so but apparently bothers our current President and his administration not one bit. Did you miss that? An alternative strategy to meet our needs would have been to get additional oil supplies from Canada. Of course immediately killing Keystone after the inauguration makes that option difficult. And now with the completion of construction of additional capacity on the Trans Mountain pipeline from Alberta to Vancouver in 2024 most of that oil is destined for Asia. Stupid political decisions do have real life consequence after all.

Not really that long. The concept of Sanctuary Cities is pretty recent when local governments started refusing to assist and support Federal Immigration enforcement officers with arresting and deporting illegals. Now its transformed into a wide safety net of taxpayer provided services and support. The problem is the sheer volume of people streaming across the border has overwhelmed even the most generous cities. And generally with the Biden administration refusing to enforce any immigration laws, the designation is a moot point where sanctuary has been replaced by social services support. Also, the idea that these 8 million people meet the necessary criteria for Asylum status is dubious. Its just a procedural ploy to get into the country. Everyone is given a hearing date, released on their own recognizance, and required to show up at the hearing to state their case for asylum, with the court ruling yes or no on their qualifying for that status. Of course, almost nobody is going to show for the hearing and Federal immigration officials under Biden have absolutely no intention of taking any enforcement action against anyone much less deport them for not showing up. Its simply a very well orchestrated scam. And the "great" news is there's more on the way!

Mike Johnson, New Speaker of the House.
All_Pro_Bills replied to B-Man's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'd say that's true in a theocratic regime but there are other forms of authoritarian regimes that conversely outlaw religion. Simply because they believe The State is the ultimate power and this by definition prohibits any belief in or worship of a superior being or God residing above The State. -

Generally, history is written by the winner and the majority of what we know about times past is from that perspective. But what you say is true. Men wrote these tales. Men wrote all these religious documents and books too. Including the verses and sections that tell people to kill people outside of their faith. That should give the creative thinker an idea of what's really going on with the religion hustle. Control I conclude. I've always been skeptical of people that use some spiritual belief as an excuse to justify murder. Or go along with the idea. The way I look at it is if some all-powerful, omnipotent God, creator of all things, wants to "kill" some person or group of persons then do it yourself. Nobody's going to stop you. And leave me out of it. I've got no gripe with anybody along with having enough problems of my own already. And while I'm at it, I'd ask God if "he" didn't want any non-believers then why did you put them here in the first place? The religious zealot will say its a test of their faith. But faith in what? A God that wants you to kill others? That's not sounding like a message of love and peace and eternal life. -
What makes them buddies? Are they meeting for wings and beers at Duffs before the Sabres game tonight? Reality is, US policy towards Russia doesn't fundamentally change no matter the President so Putin could care less who's in the WH. But keeping the illusion of some relationship is essential progressive folklore.

Israel and Iran
All_Pro_Bills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Read this sentence earlier today which sums up nicely the Israeli aid mystery. Mainly why do US taxpayers have to provide any funding to a wealthy and prosperous country to fight a war? "Israel, with GDP of almost half a trillion dollars and a debt-to-GDP ratio that is half of that of the United States, and a super-advanced military, still somehow needs $14.3 billion from US taxpayers in order to continue its extensive bombing campaign throughout Gaza following the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack". Add in lucrative revenue streams from Mediterranean NatGas fields and they've got plenty of their own cash. -
Who Do The Democrats Run in 2024?

I assume the kid was dressed like the Orange Menace and yelled Trick or Treat, Make American Great Again! He was later picked up for questioning by the Secret Service under suspicion of being an juvenile extremist. -
As long as you guys believe Democracy is defined as a condition where the majority is entitled to have their way on everything against the minority then we're doomed. Our system has lots of checks and balances against such abuses. And while this is painful, its one of them based on the rules of Congress. The administration has a choice here. Be stubborn and stick to their position or negotiate and modify their position.

I'm beginning to come around to the idea that the domestic policy differences are simply intended to keep us all guessing and bickering while the armored car quietly pulls away from the back door loaded with cash and tax receipts. Most interesting to me is if you study how the dollar reserve and trade settlement system functions and what magical powers it provides the US government along with how the Treasury and Federal Reserve operate you can't come away as nothing but impressed and amazed at how this racket operates to the advantage of the people in on the hustle at the ground floor. The rest of use, not so much. We get inflation through price increases or hidden inflation through a loss of purchasing power of the dollars we hold and earn. Which eventually leads to a lower standard of living. This racket isn't a Republican or Democrat thing, or a liberal or conservative thing, or some left or right thing. Its the business of running the world from behind the curtain with our elected government fronting the operation while pretending to represent the interests of American citizens and occasionally doing so just to keep up the illusion.

Israel and Iran

Maybe you're some type of wealthy aristocrat sent by the upper class to PPP to share your wisdom to the masses but I sadly wish to inform you that we are the little guys! -
Easily explainable not because of some moral sense of right or a sudden awareness of the need for law and order but because her personal interests are threatened since not acting could potentially impact a very large voting block she needs in NY.

Israel and Iran

Good. The idea all those new IRS folks will be solely assigned to audit high earners was a lie told in order to assist in passage of the legislation. Those new IRS agents will be auditing middle and lower income people. Bank on it. -
Me too. I'm curious why the Bills didn't jump into the Leonard Williams deal considering the teams connection to the current Giants GM/HC combo. That move could have put us back on track for this season.

Personally, I have no objections to helping Ukraine. What I object to is the funding model. Its not like the US government has $100's of billions collecting dust in various savings accounts. Quite the contrary. Congress must pass legislation authorizing the aid. The President signs the bill and along with that the Treasury is authorized to issue notes and bills for the $100 billion. Proceeds from the sale are sent to the Treasury and the aid is provided. Then the US taxpayer assumes responsibility for making the principal and interest payments on the debt and the national debt is incremented an additional $100 billion. I expect if there was a requirement that the aid was contingent on a tax increase of $100 billion of both personal and business taxes there would be a lot less enthusiasm for the idea both from politicians that would be run out of office for increasing taxes and the public in general. But the method of borrowing and spending "hides" the debt and the consequences by placing them in the future for somebody else to figure out how to pay it back and deal with the problem.

Have we ever made a big move before the trade deadline?
All_Pro_Bills replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Giants traded DL Leonard Williams to Seahawks for a 2024 2nd and a 2025 5th with the GIants retaining salary. Why with connections to the Giants GM and HC could the Bills not swing something comparable? -
I'd argue the existence or absence of a "uni-party is a distinction without a difference. As leadership of both parties support constant warfare there's little to no fundamental difference between them with regard to that activity. Whether that's done through some singular body or through some meeting of the minds isn't important. I'm not sure but I'm inclined to believe the US has been directly or indirectly involved in some war of some kind, somewhere since let's say 1950.

I'm just waiting and alert for the time when all the Jihadists among the millions of illegals that Biden's extended the hospitality of the US taxpayers to and let cross the border from Mexico without proper vetting or concern for Americans get the signal from Tehran to unleash mayhem and carnage so you idiots can blame Trump for that too. Then you're imaginary obsession about a some relationship between Putin and Trump won't seem so important and maybe reality will creep back into the thinking of your cult as a lot of them get planted by the terrorists and their safe places turn out to be not so safe. Welcome back to reality idiots.

Week 9 thread - We’re on to Cincinnati
All_Pro_Bills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can this secondary cover Chase, Boyd, and Higgins? Only if Bills generate an effective pass rush. But otherwise maybe if they pick up a couple all-pro corners at the trade deadline.
