Mentioning the Sabres, a guy called into the WGR morning show and said he feels about the Bills and Josh Allen like he did when the Sabres had all-world goalie Dominick Hasek and never made the moves to out a more competitive team in front of him. As for the Sabres, once again I look forward to their annual late season push for 9th place in the conference and the best record of any team missing the playoffs. As for last night it bothered me but not as much as I expected because I knew when they settled on the Bass FG attempt even if he made it they left around 1:45 on the clock which would have been enough for the Chiefs to drive down into FG range and win it 30-27 at the buzzer. At the 2 minute warning it should have been TD or bust. Why play ball control because you don't trust your defense for 58 minutes and then throw them out after tying it up and expecting a big stop?

I'd more than welcome both likely nominees to be subject to an independent competency and mental aptitude examination but such a thing is unlikely. Meanwhile, there are lots of people with mental health issues, delusions, psychotic episodes, memory loss and impairment, and other conditions but since only one of them is currently President I consider that risk to be greatest.

Perhaps the most comical aspect of this "bomb" is the video of the perp planting the bomb is taken about 17 hours before the bomb is found. But the bomb had a 1 hour timer. So what was the plan? Plant the bomb and come back to the scene every 59 minutes and reset the timer to 60 minutes until the intended target showed up? Whether it was real or another government sponsored set up it was poorly conceived and executed.

The Three Plays that Cost us the Game
All_Pro_Bills replied to VaMilBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I expected after the 2 minute warning they were going to play for a game winning TD while burning down the clock as close to zero as possible. Sure you can't expect to script things out perfectly in a game like this but that was the winning move. With all the injuries and big chunk plays the defense was giving up I didn't want to see them on the field again last night. But as is typical, things went off the rails on 2nd and 3rd down passes and Bass missed the FG on 4th down. Given all the last minute heartbreaks is there anyone here that didn't think Bass was going to miss? I sure did. But for me it didn't make any difference. Giving the Chiefs the ball with about 1:45 left and a couple time outs was more than enough to get them into FG range and their kicker is usually money. If the Bills didn't lose 27-24 they would have lost 30-27. -
Considering the mental condition of our current President you should be careful when throwing around words like "senile". The guy is consistently mentally confused and can't even answer a question that isn't scripted, screened, and answered by some staff person, with the answer provided to Joe on a queue card. So you guys elected a trained Monkey. Good work. You're all not as smart as you think you are as they fooled you all by getting you to vote for a fake President which you'll gladly do again. Not the brightest bulbs in the lamp. Trump may be a narcissistic buffoon but Joe's a walking, talking vegetable.

So now most faculty members don't want to attend staff meetings either. My workplace has a couple major HR initiatives. DEI and Common Culture. I'd argue they're conflicting objectives. Do you want differences or commonality? It's something nobody running the show cares to explain. Gone are the simplier days when you were just expected to do the best job you can and go home.

I hear your argument. I'm extremely healthy compared to my peers while not doing anything special to watch my health other than not smoking or drinking. In addition, no need for any medications. I'd argue there's a significant genetic component to good health as past generations of my family on both sides have with few exceptions lived into their 90's. I think there's always cost and benefit issues when it comes to pooled risk arrangements like health insurance. Some people pay and rarely use it while others are frequent visitors to doctors and hospitals. Personal behavior certainly contributes. But what vices to discourage through payment penalties, like smoking, is subject to many considerations.

I knew somebody would be kind enough to point that out to me as soon as I hit the submit button. I'm paying for bad decisions? Sure I am but so what? I'm being forced to pay for lots of other bad decisions too. The alternative to freedom of choice is no freedom of choice. So are you advocating we should force people to be healthy? Or just "educate" them? But educated people are not immune to making bad decisions either. So what should be do? Cede our freedoms to rule by expert? Assuming experts have no bias maybe that's okay. But when you find an expert with no biases let me know.

Biden and the crises er challenge on the border
All_Pro_Bills replied to Unforgiven's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Things are so ass-backwards the administration will probably threaten to send Federal law enforcement to force Texas state law enforcement to keep the border open. Imagine that happening in any other country. Insanity rules. House republicans looking to make a deal is appeasement. Give Biden a choice, either shut down the border or shut down the government. His choice. Make a stand, now. -
There is no evidence, and you have no proof, Trump is a Russian asset no matter how many times its repeated. Mueller found no proof. His Trump-hating legal team found no proof. And filed no charges against anyone for collusion with Russians. You need to put this debunked conspiracy theory to rest. At this point, given what has transpired since the initial accusation, the premise is beyond preposterous.

So these 51 IC folks conspired to create and spread a lie in order to interfere with or influence in the election of 2020 (hiding the truth protecting Biden) so why aren't they all under charges? You know why! But I'll say it. Because these people are above and exempt from the law. Brew on that the next time somebody invokes the rule of law argument against everyday citizens or some unprotected political figure.
