They don't care too much about what happens to the public as long as they can control the flow and content of "information" and suppress or discredit other messages of conflicting facts or dissenting opinions. What scares and concerns them is losing control. That's their only concern. And letting people freely express views and opinions that embarrass or expose the government to scrutiny threatens that control. And their ability to lie and cover their asses when required. Which is pretty much all the time. Let's ask some real questions. Get these fact checkers out into public and ask them to explain why they lie and who tells them to lie until we get to the top of the chain of command. When are we going to see that testimony?

If the left thinks its fair and proper to force women to compete in sports snd contests where physical strength determines the outcome why just limit it to fake men with mental issues? Why not open it up to all men? I'd say all this Taylor Swift activity is completely motivated by $$$$$$$$$$. Personally, I don't find her music or performances appealing but I'm not her target audience. Automating farming sounds like a good argument against illegal immigration. If we can automate farming then why does the left insist we need to import millions of unskilled migrants to do tasks such as farm work that they say no Americans will do? What it means is they're supporting the policy of importing millions of people to put them on social assistance programs so its just more subsidized losers.

Why not simplify the transaction and directly transfer the money to defense contractors, arms suppliers, and oligarchs while skimming 10% off the top for the "big guy"?

I agree there's a lot of real estate to stake out strategy and policy between the choice of getting involved everywhere and isolationism. What the government fears rather than insurrection is criticism and dissent.
