Since 1989 the purchasing power of the US dollar has fallen almost 60% and economist calculate $2.49 of income today buys what $1.00 of income did in 1989. So its not all hearts and flowers under democrats either.

State of the Union Address 2024.

In other news, the Kremlin reported the Soviet Union's current 5 year plan is on target to deliver the goals set out by the party. -
What is still unexplained is if Elam doesn't fit McDermott's "scheme" then why did the team make a deal to swap first rounders and give up another pick to move up a couple spots to draft a CB that didn't fit was a square peg, round hole case? Did they not do the scouting, workouts, and interviews with Elam to understand any of this circumstance? Was there some disconnect between the GM and the HC? Did they just severely miscalculate how hard it would be for Elam to make the transition in his game to play under the Bills D scheme?

Yup, there was a downward revision of 124K from the January 353K to 229K. If you believe these numbers are "real" chalk up that revision to seasonality factors. Although that doesn't explain why the seasonality wasn't reflected in the original numbers or what "more" seasonality factored into the revision. Otherwise, does anybody actually believe the government has the competency and capability to "count" all the new jobs created in the previous month before the 1st Friday of the next month? They don't. The number is an output of a model. For February the new jobs number was 275K. Areas with gains: Healthcare services Government Food Services Bars and Restuarants Social Assistance Services Transportation Warehousing Unemployment rate jumped to 3.9%. This unexpected big move higher seems to be what markets have initially focused on this morning.

State of the Union Address 2024.

There's no justification for giving Biden a victory lap for making an attempt to address a problem he created on day one of his administration. Motivated generally by his dreadful approval ratings on his handling of the issue. Rather than beat-on Congress, he can issue an executive order(s) consistent with how Trump handled and controlled the border during his term. What's Joe waiting for? -

How much did you pay for gas and groceries today?

Most MSM news reporters are government propagandists. The part I'm not sure about is if they're dumb enough to believe what they're saying or smart enough to know they're lying. -
State of the Union Address 2024.

Sources suggest Joe is going to focus on the key problems facing Americans. Its not crime, or the open border, or economic insecurity over things like shrinking real incomes. Its that the cookies they're buying at the Super Market are smaller and there are a few less potato chips in a bag. Between daily 4 hour naps, he discovered grocery store products have been getting smaller over time. Like that 32 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce you won't find anymore. Alert those guys making up those low-ball fake inflation number too! -
Only the best people - Trump style
All_Pro_Bills replied to BillStime's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's also an inexplicable paradox that Trump's administration was dominated by swamp creatures and never Trumpers like Bolton, Barr, Pompeo, Wray, Haley, and many others. He appointed Gen. Milley, a strange choice given he's the guy his team is claiming has ruined the military. His administration was full of Washington insiders with very few outsiders most of which were quickly forced out or left "voluntarily". For a candidate that promised to "drain the swamp" and enact all kinds of populist reforms he did none of it. And now he's back claiming a second chance in 2024 will do the trick. He's learned a few things. Should he be believed? Donald Jeffries, whom I never heard of until this week, wrote an rather long and intriguing article on what h coined as "The Trumpenstein Project". It makes for interesting reading and thought but remains a hypothetical although the story seems compelling. https://donaldjeffries.substack.com/p/trumpenstein-and-the-death-of-politics -
"Standing up to America's adversaries". That's funny. Our adversaries have pulled Joe's jacket over his head and spun him around until he's too dizzy to stand up himself. Under Joe we're a fading Empire losing its relevancy. "Standing up for the rule of law". That's funny too. By weaponizing the legal system for the political purposes of hindering and banning the leading opposition candidate for President. Now that's "standing up for democracy"! Worst President, EVER!

Is this better? "The FBI's Miami Field Office released new information on an Iranian intelligence officer by the name of Majid Dastjani Farahani, who is wanted for "questioning in connection with the recruitment of individuals for various operations in the United States, to include lethal targeting of current and former United States Government officials."

Its not just dumb kids doing dumb things. By a 13-2 vote, the 6 win, 21 loss, Dartmouth men's college basketball team voted to join Local 560 of the Service Employees International Union. The school responded to the situation with a statement, "The students on the men’s basketball team are not in any way employed by Dartmouth. For Ivy League students who are varsity athletes, academics are of primary importance, and athletic pursuit is part of the educational experience. Classifying these students as employees simply because they play basketball is as unprecedented as it is inaccurate." The Ivy League doesn't give athletic scholarships, but does give need-based ones. The total annual cost of attendance at Dartmouth for the current academic year is $87,315. Good grief! Whether your views are left, center, or right, its got to be hard to believe anything other than our system is broken.

Democrats in full on panic
All_Pro_Bills replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But not in total panic yet with many tricks to play. https://nypost.com/2024/03/05/opinion/bidens-2024-advantage-an-alliance-of-elites-rigging-the-game/ -
What's been shrinking most under Biden is the purchasing power of the US dollar. Each unit of currency is worth about 17% less during his presidency. Look no further than dysfunctional domestic and foreign policy and programs along with huge spending initiatives of limited value as the biggest source of the problem. Who's he blaming for that?

Russia Was Not a Democratic Hoax
All_Pro_Bills replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So you're saying both Trump and Putin worked independent of each other, had no formal arrangement, but shared the same goal which was to get Trump elected. And worked in separate and independent "swim lanes" to make it happen? You should run this theory by people like Adam Schiff and Hillary Clinton who to this day are still peddling the belief that Trump colluded with the Russians and by default Putin himself to steal the election. In their minds the Mueller report "proved" they colluded but there wasn't evidence beyond a doubt required to bring charges. This is still the prevailing Democrat narrative 7 year later. What's missing from the explanation is the prequel, how it all began. Skipping to the critical point in time, agents at the FBI filed an application for a FISA warrant under false pretense and committed a Federal crime in the process in order to eavesdrop on Cater Page. A person that was suggested to the FBI was working with Russians to dig up dirt on the opposition. They knew he was a CIA asset while leaving that detail out of the warrant application (because that detail likely would result with the judge denying the application). One thing Page was doing was de-briefing his CIA contacts on Russian activities. That was left out of the warrant too. As a result of acquiring the warrant, they could spy on Page and anyone he spoke to in the Trump campaign. You might want to ask 1) why did the FBI knowingly file a FISA warrant application under false pretense?, 2) following up the chain of command where did this order originate? What Mueller's team didn't investigate or report is more telling than what it did. You see the real collusion wasn't between Trump and Putin. It was between the DNC (Clinton campaign) and the FBI. They totally ignored this connection for reasons that are painfully obvious. -
Don't forget the Inflation Reduction Act which targeted lots of useless and unproductive activities and wish lists of political causes. The name itself is a clear example of how politicians love to inversely name their legislation to obscure the truth. More to the point, the correct name should have been the Inflation Acceleration Act.

Our elected officials in Washington have been playing a game of make-believe for decades. This is a game leaders and members of both major parties have been and are still playing. Look at these comical debt ceiling and stop-gap funding bills. Its one big tragic comedy in real-time. They believe in the idea the US government can pile up massive debts year after year adding trillions to the national debt with no nominal limit to how much debt the government can accumulate. All without incurring any negative consequences. Well, at least no negative consequences the average American can understand unless they're willing to do a little more thinking than usual. In other words, borrowing to infinity, and the repudiation of every rule of finance and common sense. This is a delusion leading us to ruin as a nation and as a society. I've seen numbers that put quarterly US borrowing at $1 trillion per quarter. Reality is that its impossible for this to continue from a point of practicality and simple math. Disaster lies just ahead. At the end of it everyone's standard of living is going to suffer a downgrade and nothing is going to stop it.
