Its not a question if immigration or no immigration. Its a question of balance, of sane and rational policy. Of balancing the needs of the country with the the desire to help. Of doing things in an orderly and secure manner. This administration's immigration policy is complete chaos. And leaving our border open and insecure is lunacy and something that will produce a lot of negative consequences for many for a long time. And importing 20 million people that will be dependent on public assistance and resources diverted from other pressing needs for years and years is shear insanity. Maybe 90% of the Earth's population would improve their condition by migrating to the US but bringing 4 or 5 billion people here won't make the country great. Like I said its a question of balance. You only look at the benefits and ignore all the costs and consequences. Which is completely irrational.

Based on the evaluation of their asylum case. Either they: Show up and win their case Show up and lose Don't show up 2 or 3 issue deportation judgment. If the don't show up for deportation take the appropriate action. If none of this works tell DOJ/FBI they participated in J6. They'll definitely find every single person.

Using a term tech people are familiar with, the claim this bill was needed summarizes the adminitrations view that the current immigration system is "working as designed". And new legislation is needed to fix it. Another familiar term that describes the proposed fix is "going right to solutioning without understanding the root cause of the problem". This is not a situation where random people show up at the US border and request asylum status to enter the country. A complex web of private and public organizations support this effort. Who are they? What are the names of the people running them? Where do they get their funding? How do they spend the money? It's an operation with a complex organizational structure. Let's find out how this business works to bring people in and the identities and motivations of the people running it before we start proposing solutions that don't address the factors supporting the flow and movement of people. That rejected border bill would do nothing to impact the trafficking system or stop the flow of people. I expect what we're up against is the world's biggest and best funded human trafficking operation. And nobody other than a few alt media investigative types are looking. My guess is the US taxpayer is directly and indirectly funding this operation and the administration's fingerprints are all over this mess.

Didn't that border bill have something like $60 billion for Ukraine? And money for Israel? What did that have to do with our border? And money for processing people into the country faster but little to nothing to keep them out? And money for organizations that help migrants inside the US and more for those helping them cross? Truth is for anyone wanting border security that bill just plain sucked smelly ass. So whoever killed it, good for them. And the lying douche is at the border claiming she'll fix a problem they created. It's like she's not running against Trump but rather the record of this democratic administration and its policies. The same polices she"ll be given by the party. Big fat liar.

From what I've seen of the Appeals Court judges questions to the government prosecutors that felon tag is most likely going to be overruled on appeal. Curiously, the judges are asking the same questions and making the same conclusions that a lot of posters here put out there while concluding the governments case was baseless. And yeah, Obama's crew is definitely running the White House. Anyone still thinking Biden is making decisions and policy consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the Commander in Chief is fooling themselves. That attitude might fly here when you're sparing with ideological adversaries that you have little to no sympathy for in any way. Prices generally fall when productivity increases. The question is how do you enhance productivity and do any of her proposals support increased productivity? Which results in business and workers earning more. Aren't most of her team's proposals geared towards income redistribution schemes and defining new ways to find more funds for increased government spending?

I see Adams work to date as mayor as a mixed bag and my trips into The City (as the natives call it here) have become less frequent for many reasons but he was outwardly critical of the administration's disastrous immigration free-for-all. Its not an unreasonable assumption to conclude there is corruption and some of the funds are disappearing or not getting to the specific destination intended. You want to play Pollyanna and believe all is good until somebody confesses. Your argument is always pretty consistent. I am influenced by outside forces that provide me with my views and misinformation that produce faulty or defective conclusions and positions while you are a much smarter free and independent thinker armed with accurate and reliable facts from accurate and reliable sources to always know the truth and arrive at correct conclusions. I don't get it either. Its not like the US treasury has a spare $200 Billion laying around collecting dust just waiting for some needy cause. That money is borrowed, committing future Americans to a stream of principal and interest payment along with de-prioritizing other potential uses of those borrowed funds. If you're old enough to remember anything about the Vietnam era you might be familiar with the slogan "my country, right or wrong". Its was the slogan used by war supporters against anyone that disagreed with US government policy and questioned the merits of the war. Its the older brother of the current you're "Putin's useful idiot" if you question anything about the conflict slogan being peddled by today's crop of government advocates and supporters of the current policy. There was also the "domino theory" that if Vietnam fell then all of Southeast Asia would be under communism. That's consistent with the if Russia takes Ukraine then all of Europe will follow. If the war hawks are one thing its consistent over time in their messaging although they're not very creative. And consistently wrong too. Ultimately, to them being right is not important. Just as it was in the 1960's it is today. Its a false premise to charge that anyone that objects to or questions US government policy is siding or aiding the enemies cause. What they label as support for the enemy is plain old critical and logical thinking to produce objective conclusions. The idea anyone would try and want to understand the enemies positions, objectives, and goals is an unimaginable and inconceivable concept to the liberal war supporters. The thinking is we're right, you're wrong why should I care what you think? What it comes down to is we're talking about two different things. The war advocates are not interested in objective criticism, ideas, or conclusions. They just look at the situation from one side and ignore everything else. Slightly different from the 60's slogan but more or less "my government, right or wrong".

Get on a plane and show up in Kyiv and announce I'm going to perform an audit on all the US aid they've received? Really! The inability or unwillingness to extrapolate conclusions with incomplete information to fill in the blanks and produce a most likely conclusion. I'm basing my view on the nature of the arrangement. Lots of money, $200 Billion. No accountability for how the funds are spent or dispersed. Parties resisting any audit. Historical corruption in Ukraine. A lot of the money is for paying government employees in Ukraine, not weapons. Demonstrated incompetence of the US administration. So we're sending billions of dollars to a country that is historically known for a high level of corruption without any audit or checks and balance in how the money is spent or distributed and you believe the odds favor everything is on the up-and-up? That's not a smart conclusion and its a bad bet.

Hypothetically, which would be worse? People that are slow and dumb being fooled by Trump? Or people claiming intellectual superiority being fooled by Harris and the Dems?

We didn't sign a treaty with Ukraine. Treaties require Congressional votes and approval. When did Congress pass this? Any agreement is technically is devoid of constitutionally required consent. The eroded support in the west is not the result of foriegn influence. Citizens see their needs de-prioritized to fund the war and in Europe the economies of most countries have suffered from sanctions more than Russia. The war is unpopular with the voters but their leaders don't care. What is that thing,? Oh yeah, democracy What's it caled when the government ignores the will of the people? I've heard the argument the funding supports US defense industry. But the arrangement still leaves the taxpayers with the bill. If you want to supply arms where me and other taxpayers don't get stuck with the tab I have no objection. Or maybe spend the money on something productive? If you"re concerned about raping and pillaging maybe shut our border with Mexico first? Clean up your own house first. The left is fickle. They think nobody else but them are able to arrive at any conclusion that disagrees with them through any other means than getting packaged and provided conclusions from somewhere else. Believe it or not I do my own thinking. You might want to consider doing some too. Whether my conclusions agree or disagree with one side or the other is immaterial to the goal of objectivity. I realize liberal have no use for that view.
