  1. I'm close to you on that. I think we're at a point in time where a lot of negative circumstances are converging. I've done a lot of reading and research on concepts like the cycles of history and the rise and fall of Empires. And make no mistake the US operates a world-wide Empire. But an Empire on the decline faced with a crisis cycle of social, economic, and political factors at a time when its primary source of energy is in on the back-end of the supply curve. There are three books that I think together describe the factors and the situations. Empire of Debt by Bonner & Wiggin The Fourth Turning by Strauss & Howe The Long Emergency by Kunstler My conclusion from all this research and observation of current events is that as a society we are doing exactly the wrong things at exactly the wrong time to address the critical problems we face and will face in the future. So expect things to get much worse in every way until the start to be better. Where it all ends up is a guess at this point.
  2. Other stuff? Like nuclear weapons and some fighter jets? A few tanks? Even our senile and ancient President said you're not going to over throw the US government with just guns. Of course in that situation he was talking about plans to restrict 2nd amendment protections and not the 1/6 protest riots. But in a brief moment of clarity and honesty his point is well placed and correct. The insurrection narrative gets the amp'ed up threat to democracy version. So if they had all these weapons how did a bunch Capitol Police which are one step up from mall cops stop their plan? Why didn't the protesters shoot anybody? Why bring a bomb to a riot if your not going to set it off? Why didn't they track down and capture the Senators and Representatives that were the target of their anger and objective? Or do much worse to them? Why didn't they burn down the Capitol or something like that? That would have most certainly delayed the House certification of the election results. Why can't proponents of the insurrection hoax story that have no answer to this question admit it wasn't an insurrection? And that angle is just for scoring political points? I've asked this question about why they didn't carry out their plan given absolutely little to no resistance several times and have been left disappointed as no intelligent or logical explanation is posted. All I get is nonsense and deflection. And some tit-for-tat anti-Trump story line. Truth is there is no logical explanation because there was no planned insurrection. Truth is none of us that think the narrative is all BS think you believe it either. We think you are just unwilling to admit to the truth. And given my perception of your intelligence level I can't see how you could believe such a transparent lie.
  3. I'm sure they'll find a way to "bend light" and justify both resisting the rule of the majority when they are in the minority and such actions support their positions and demanding obedience to the rule of the majority when they are in the majority and such actions don't support their positions. And its likely the irony of that inconsistency will be lost.
  4. I really can't speak to that as I don't support legislation that will prohibit or inhibit citizens from fairly casting their ballots. Statements out of the governors office indicate they will be arrested when setting foot back in Texas. This might get interesting..
  5. They should release all the e-mails and files into the public domain. But as the Biden's are protected by what I've labeled "political privilege" the disclosure of corruption and criminal activity will be punished but not the actual corrupt or criminal act. In this case taking bribes, kickbacks from foreign aid, and other shady play for pay business arrangements. How can any rational and thinking person be oblivious to all of this or worse ignore it or worse yet support the very people that partake in it? Yet they do. I can understand if you're getting a piece of the action, sure. But if you're just a rank-and-file ideologist you've got to see what a chump you are at some point here. Can it get more obvious?
  6. Requiring voter identification through picture ID along with ensuring that a voter casts a ballot one time in the district where they reside is almost universally standard procedure in almost every democratic country. According to a Monmouth Poll, asking about photo ID requirements, 62% of Democrats, 87% of independents, and 91% of Republicans support the requirement. I'm having a hard time correlating the need to identify yourself with the concept of voter restriction or voter suppression.
  7. The fun part is they're working very hard to keep the identities of the buyers secret. Big money for garbage "art". I wonder why? I suppose this is the Biden's version of the Clinton's pay off vehicle disguised as a charitable trust. I'm sure Jenny P. will render some good excuse at the WHPC. She's such a good liar its embarrassing. But her answer, no matter how preposterous will certainly go unquestioned by the obedient press corps. Which shows the only thing more despicable than the Biden administration is the corporate media. How enjoyable it will be to watch it all blow up in their faces before all is said and done. I know the counter-argument of my friends on the left. Trump did this, Trump did that. Maybe he did and maybe he didn't. Somehow that allegation is supposed to make all the corruption of our current President's family okay. But the difference is Biden and company are protected by the system of "political privilege". Trump is persecuted and judged by that very system all the time. You can post all the pictures and images you want and it won't alter that reality and it won't make the current administrations corrupt and unethical actions legitimate. That's how it is folks..
  8. The Medicare system is government sponsored. But the mechanism for delivering care is not socialist. Its not government run. I explained its a single payer system where the government isthe payer. Socialism would be where the medicare infrastructure, the doctors, the hospitals, pharmacies, all were under direct government control. They are not. By your definition of socialism every government program would be socialism since its funded by the government so the only way to have no socialism would be to have no government.
  9. As everything I said was true it would appear there's enough "pissing on the Constitution" to go around. The issue is Trump seems like the only guy being held to account. Why is that?
  10. A good summation but what's missing is context. And I'll keep my comments to setting that context. And that context is these protesters have experienced the opposition lying, cheating, and stealing for 4 1/2 years. Breaking all kinds of laws like falsifying warrants, falsifying intelligence, leaking sensitive national security information, planting false stories in the press, letting sympathetic protest groups get away with murder, and so much more. And yet not a single person has been charged, tried, or convicting of anything. Like "made men" in the mob these wrongdoers are protected by the system. While they are not. They've watched the corporate media lie about everything, ignore other things, and dismiss anything that didn't fit their narratives. They've witnessed big tech weaponizing social media against them, suppressing and censoring all opposition ideas. And in a lot of cases these platforms have spread lies and misinformation themselves. All without consequences. They've sat through two impeachment hearings authorized on the flimsiest of charges all for political show. They've heard officials like Maxine Waters telling her supporters to "get in people's faces" and to get "confrontational" and see her get away unquestioned by the media. The same media that descended on Trump when he spoke in similar fashion charging he was inciting violence. They've watched BLM and Antifa groups burn, loot, destroy, steal, beat and kill people and get away with all of it by friendly state and local governments knowing damn well if they participated in that behavior they'd see the full weight of the law come down on them. Basically, they've watched the administration they supported get screwed up and down by the embedded powers inside and outside the government during the entire 4 year term. And then defeated in an election almost half the country believes was fixed. That's the context. And given all that telling them here to play nice and follow all the rules.
  11. Going bankrupt? Technically the Federal government can not go bankrupt. Unsustainable? Probably. But they can just keep creating more money and devalue the dollar to death along with all our living standards. And they've been doing that for decades. The Federal government is in about a $28T ditch and counting. With annual budget deficits over $1T sure to be more this fiscal year and next. Currently taxes account for around 20% of the budget and the 80% is borrowed. That's why its so hilarious when they talk about raising taxes to fund programs. Making the rich pay their "fair share". It all sounds so good. If taxes funded everything we'd need to cut Federal spending by 3/4's. What Senator or Congress person is going to support that from either party? Add in a dozen or so States with unfunded pension funds to the tune of $100's of billions and the whole thing is a house of cards. The thing keeping the game going is the special status of the US dollar in the global financial system. When that shoe drops the shows over.
  12. This is a common misconception. Medicare is not socialist. Its is a one payer system for people over the age of 65. Part A, B, C, and D. Under a socialist system providers would work for the government. They do not work for the government in the US healthcare system model. Unlike national health care models in other countries. They are private practices or groups that service patients from other payers, commercial, Medicaid, private payer as well as accepting Medicare patients. Government Medicare generally covers 80% of charges and some people over 65 choose to pay for Medicare Advantage coverage out-of-pocket to cover their 20% patient responsibility amount. Some income qualifications may allow people over 65 to be covered by various State sponsored supplemental insurance. By definition if it was socialist it would be "free".
  13. How many communist/socialist hating Cubans do you think the Biden administration will be prepared to accept through their "open border" policy?
  14. Our friend fails to inform us that ultimately even "elected" socialist systems degenerate into the dictatorship model. The reality that the most productive members of society will choose to exit such a situation must be dealt with by forcing them to stay. And as democratic societies work they generally do not share this characteristic. So government force and coercion becomes a necessity. But the fatal flaw of socialism and communism is they ultimately descend into the equal distribution of nothing. Poverty for everyone but the political elite. If you want a firsthand assessment find somebody like my acquaintances that grew up under the Soviet system and watched it fall prior to emigrating the US. They think the lefties here are at best naive idiots and at worst a danger to freedom and democracy to desire such a system.
  15. What's I find laughable is the huge contradiction of reality the media, movies, and TV shows create about the FBI as some highly competent and just organization vs. the true nature of the agency as a corrupt political tool that has no legitimacy to call itself "law enforcement". I sympathize with what I expect are a large number of good and honest rank-and-file agents that need to hold their noses to avoid the stench of corruption emanating from their bosses at the top as they report to work each day.
  16. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/americas/haiti/article252711838.html As US intelligence spies on every person in the country and gathers data on all forms of communications (like our posts at TBD) I assume the idea is they knew about what was about to go down but didn't alert anyone.
  17. Yes, you are delusional. And admitting it is the first step.
  18. Why are you still posting this insurrection nonsense? I totally destroyed that false narrative with my post on page 83 for which you or anyone else supporting that false narrative had no legitimate or rational response to a couple days ago. Its time to quit this fantasy world of conspiracies about overthrowing the government on 1/6. Absolutely nobody, anywhere in social media or the MSM has an answer to how 1/2 million protesters bent on overthrow were stopped by a handful of glorified mall security guards. Because to admit it was stopped by itself is to admit it never started. End of story here.
  19. This is representative of the core problem. Confidence. It doesn't matter if there was election fraud or not. It doesn't matter if people casting votes were not eligible to cast a vote. It doesn't matter if the "process" was fair or not. It doesn't matter who won. We can argue and debate the finer points of the election law or results until the Sun burns out and who is right or wrong won't matter. What matters is if there was election fraud a very large number of citizens know with 100% certainty that the officials running the system, the official responsible for overseeing the system, the media reporting on it, and everyone else involved would all lie about it whether or not it happened. And would not investigate anything, would not look to find anything, and would obstruct and inhibit any audits and recounts by doing everything and anything they could to stop anyone else from finding any problems anywhere. The record to date supports this view. We are at the point of "systemic corruption". Where every institution, not just those connected to the elections, is viewed as corrupt. Its like Operation Mindcrime track 3. Its not Democrats vs. Republicans, or liberals vs, conservatives, or left vs, right. Its corruption and the consequences of corruption embedded in a lawless and self-serving government supported by its co-beneficiaries in the private sector such as big tech. Right now what's in short supply is honesty and integrity.
  20. This was crafted by a guy named Darryl Cooper. Regarding election fraud he hit the nail on the head. Simply, if there was election fraud its a certainty that the FBI, media, and others would 100% for sure to lie and deny. The big lie isn't there was election fraud. The big lie is there was election fraud and the truth doesn't matter. The idea that 1/2 the country believes the last 2 presidential elections have been crooked show how dysfunctional our country has become and yet we still go merrily down that path. I hear Megadth Symphony of Destruction in my head.
  21. Hey, that's much more insightful than the other explanations suggested on my question about what stopped the "insurrection". They got tired. Trump told them to stop. Their bus was leaving in 30 minutes. Maybe magic happy times fairy dust was sprinkled down on the Capitol that day to stop the insurrectionists too? The lengths big oppressive government advocates will go to deny the reality that our government has gone off the rails appears endless. And sadly whether you advocate for them or not they are out to screw us all just the same.
  22. Now you're just yanking my chain here, right? They got tired? I've heard from the left that these people are extremists and cult members. Extremists are driven and like them or not they're not quitters. If they got tired and left why didn't they do something like start the entire Capitol building on fire or something before the left? That's something insurrectionists like to do. Start fires. We saw a lot of that last year in a lot of places.
  23. You are just not capable of providing a straight-forward honest answer to a simple question. Because the answer conflicts with the ideology that apparently defines entire existence. What does that make you? So last chance. What stopped the "insurrection" given no capable force was on site that day? Was it magic? Devine intervention? Nancy Pelosi's breath? What was it?
  24. So Trump was behind the whole thing and he called it off? Then why do it in the first place? You're making this way more complicated than it needs to be. It all sounds like a lot of people went through a lot of effort for nothing. Maybe the answer is there was no plan for any insurrection and the events were either spontaneous or driven by agitators not associated with the main protest. Ask the FBI, they know who these agitators were. And the story the administration is pushing is a bunch of political witchcraft designed to score points with their base and use it as a pretext to punish their political opponents. There... I answered it for you. Are we finished here yet?
  25. Sorry but you have no answer. What stopped it? All I'm looking for is a reasonable and rational counter argument.
