It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
All_Pro_Bills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But isn't that true of almost every medical condition, disease, or illness? And by virtue of that fact a policy of vaccinating everyone and treating everyone as if they have the same risk factor is not based on medical facts or necessity. What is the social "good" of a mandate or requirement of vaccinating healthy children under 5 years old, or older children and teenagers for that matter against an illness that poses no health risk to them in order to protect fat, old, and sick people from potential serious illness and death? A mandate imposed by mostly fat, old, and sick people I might add. I'm neither fat or sick and not particularly old but I assessed my personal risk and decided to get the Moderna vaccine. I think my decision at the time was sound and logical and is something that needs to be applied in general across the population. Not the one-size fits all jab everybody every six months whether they need it or not. By all accounts Omicron is more contagious but much less lethal. South African doctors at the epicenter of the variant outbreak have stated about 2% of patients have required hospitalization vs. the 19% they experienced with Delta. Cases have been described as mild. My expectation is the current hysteria and drama over Omicron will prove to be overdone as time passes and more data and information is available. -
So with the same law firm Hillary can get briefed on what evidence Durham might have on her and how close Danchenko might be to rolling over. Client/attorney confidentiality and privacy you say? That means nothing here. If Durham is close to indicting Hillary and her campaign or if Danchenko is close turning States witness the Clinton's can order up a suicide with note included to silence whomever needs to be eliminated.

The American Media Should Not Be Trusted
All_Pro_Bills replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Months ago, the FBI has issued statements and reached the conclusion there is no evidence of any organized planning or collusion within the administration or between the administration and protesters on 1/6. But somehow a politically motivated committee run by a dictatorial House Speaker with all the rules and procedures designed (and the rules ignored too when necessary) to avoid any contention to their pre-conceived conclusions of guilt is going to uncover evidence full-time and experienced Federal law enforcement has somehow missed. Yet how preposterous this is, the faithful still cling to hope. Rather than being angry at the result they might be better served targeting their anger at the messengers of the false narratives they believe. But after several failures there is no evidence of a learning curve here. -
The American Media Should Not Be Trusted

It's a propaganda piece worthy of the best Pravda had to offer. Provide no facts or evidence of anything but draw unsupported conclusions for their faithful readers. Most of these "News" outlets have devolved into official propaganda extensions of government. They are not independent, they are not objective, they work under no requirement to tell the truth. -
Liberals will conclude: Joe Manchin is a racist, a Russian agent, involved in the 1/6 "plot", and is an un-vaccinated super-spreader killing young children and the elderly. DC needs to become a State and California needs to be split into 6 "blue" States. Senate rules need to be changed to pass legislation with a 40 vote "majority". Woke representatives are already working on a new definition of the word "majority" to mean "anything that helps us get our way". The President can issue executive orders for all of the BBB spending. It's all Trump's fault BBB is failing. Failure to pass BBB justifies riots to get those last minute Christmas gifts via looting reparations and to express displeasure with the Senator.

The American Media Should Not Be Trusted
All_Pro_Bills replied to SCBills's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's because they are a mechanism for disseminating propaganda, have no ethical standards, and lying is a requirement of their function as State media outlet. Bagdad Bob, Tokyo Rise, MSNBC Rachel Madcow. If the Kings and Clerics of the Middle Ages had today's media they'd be insisting the Earth was flat and the center of the Universe while those disagreeing are spreading misinformation. And then burning them at the stake. Unfortunately for CNN and MSNBC burning heretics at the stake is illegal. At least for now. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
All_Pro_Bills replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
All kind of sounds like trial and error. Bless the parents that have offered up their toddlers for the experiment. Not that Pfizer is worried. They're completely indemnified from legal or monetary harm for anything that might go wrong here. -
Based on Asley Biden's diary which references Joe taking showers with his daughter when she was a young girl, I'd say he's got a leg up on Myer (considering his daughter has stepped up to defend her dad) in the sleaze bag department. That might explain why Joe sent the bloodhounds at the FBI to fetch the daughter's diary she left behind at a friends house where she was staying. I'll wager the fathers of young girls here might take a serious objection at Joe's behavior.

Heath-Care Workers Leaving In Droves
All_Pro_Bills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Before you start hurling out insults try some simple math and get some percentages. Nationally there are 82,137 ICU beds. 59.5% are occupied by non-COVID patients, 19.7% are occupied by COVID patients, and 20.7% are unoccupied. The contention is the hospital system is stressed by non-vaccinated COVID patients. It isn't. Capacity utilization is 79.3%. Elective procedures are not be squeezed out if you take the time to check inpatient utilization rates. COVID patients occupy 9.2% of hospital inpatient beds. ICU is generally not elective. -

This story might have been true of early 2020 but has no relevance now. Recall at that point in time nobody was vaccinated. Current hospitalization statistic show hospital ICU's are not systemically overwhelmed by COVID patients. Un-vaccinated or vaccinated. Are there a few with capacity being stressed? Sure there might be. But that's the exception. And even in those cases the majority of ICU patients are non-COVID. Check any state. Generally the rates are high 70's to low 80's. The hospital ICU's are being overwhelmed with non-vaccinated COVID patients in late 2021 talking point FALSE. Maybe if the officials running the response and government stopped lying and withholding information there'd be less resistance and suspicion of their motives? https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/hospitalization-7-day-trend/maine -
This kind of sums things up the official view on policy discussions. The science is settled. Until it changes. But if you question it now, you’re anti-science, even if the science later agrees with you. This is how it works. If you suggest something that isn't officially sanctioned people will argue that you are wrong and uninformed. Then the government changes their minds and agrees with what you said. Then the people that used to argue with you now agree with what you said before. But will not acknowledge you were correct before. And maybe you might be on to something or know what you're taking about. Because you are anti-science.

To be fair the cumulative death rate per 100K is more accurate. The above is a 14 day rolling average death rate per 100K. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109011/coronavirus-covid19-death-rates-us-by-state/ Also, the health risks and demographics of a state are far more correlated to the death rate than public policy. This CDC site does an excellent job of displaying those risks. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fcoronavirus%2F2019-ncov%2Fcases-updates%2Fcases-in-us.html#underlying-med-conditions

Yeah, all market researchers and psychologists agree that insulting someone and then asking them for a favor or support is a terrible approach to get another individual to have positive view of you or your cause. The amazing part of it is how social justice advocates as a group cannot understand this common sense conclusion.

9.4% of NYS inpatient hospital beds are occupied by COVID positive patients. All inpatients are tested when they are admitted so getting an accurate break out of those admitted "with COVID" or "for COVID" is difficult. 78.8% of NYS hospital beds are occupied by non-COVID patients. 19% are unoccupied. I wouldn't characterize these stats as stressing the system. Add in firing and dismissing workers which lowers capacity. If you're trying not to stress the system cutting capacity by eliminating care givers is a peculiar way to achieve that objective. The COVID "vaccines" do not immunize you against infection. They "protect" you by treating the symptoms and producing some antibodies which lowers the severity of the illness you experience. They also do not eliminate transmission. In the traditional definition of a vaccine which is conveying immunity the COVID vaccines are not vaccines but rather by their observable and measurable function they are prophylactic treatments. None of the official messaging reflects any of this.

Reasons they're 7-6 Negatives Settling for FG's instead of TD's in the red zone. Too many drive and field position killing penalties on offense. Poor run defense. Predictable play calls on offense. No running game on offense. Positives Josh Allen super-human one man show. Turnovers. Kick off and punt coverage. Even with problems can still finish at 11-6 (or 10-7) and make the playoffs.

I remember commentators saying the Bills playing on the road for Thanksgiving might be a blessing in disguise because that will keep the players from attending family gatherings where close contact could result in infections. Around 75% of cases are among people sharing households. Delaying games more than a couple days at this point in the season is going to be difficult as all bye weeks have been taken and there's no slack in the schedule to push out anything to a week 19.

Contempt Pt. II: Just in case it wasn't Antifa, prominent Fox News personalities, members of congress, and Donald Jr, who somehow couldn't get ahold of his father any other way, reach out to Mark Meadows on 1/6 to try to get Trump to stop the insurrection
All_Pro_Bills replied to 716er's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'll give you points for tenacity but don't you ever get tired of supporting these failed investigations and witch hunts? Do you really believe any of this is going to lead to Trump being indicted or brought up on charges? Do you really believe this group of lost souls and misfits was attempting to overthrow the Federal government of the United States? Do you really believe this is the best use of Congressional time while everything is falling apart around us? Do you really believe law enforcement represented by the FBI missed some big and obvious conspiracy when they concluded none existed? Do you really believe this collective group of buffoons is going to uncover something huge? Once more It's all going to end in a wall of tears. And Emmy nomination qualifying level political theater. The Democrats of the current era are like some doomsday cult that periodically gets worked up over their end of the world prediction (end of world = nailing Trump). Every few months making all kinds of plans and pronouncements about the end of the world. Gathering on the day of reckoning on some hill top or open field somewhere for some ceremonies and speeches, prepared for the end, and then waking up the next day to find out nothing happened. Then trudging back to reality and then doing it all over again. Keeping the faith in the face of constant failure. Soon enough it will be time to wake up to another failure. But knock yourself out believing these myths here for as long as it lasts. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
All_Pro_Bills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
All these health officials, politicians, and various administrators chant the mantra of their belief that vaccines are "safe and effective" while insisting they're following the science. And as with all belief systems there comes a "moment of truth" when you find out what they really believe in their hearts and minds. Now we know what the administration at Cornell, which insisted on vaccine mandates really believes about the effectiveness of vaccine mandates. -
Actually it was the officials fault the Bills went three and out in OT because on 3rd down Diggs was grabbed and pulled at the right shoulder when he broke to the ball by TB CB Davis on the play. But it, like other infractions, wasn't called. Watch the replay. As far as how the league is the Bills have passed over 500 times yet have gotten just two defensive holding calls all season. That seems impossible for a team that relies on the passing game for the big majority of their offense. Both calls against Howard of Miami. One of the league's best corners. But other Corners, Safeties, and Linebackers of less skill and less experience have not one time held any Bills receiver. Add in the 4 and 5 receivers sets and statistically its likely over 2,000 receiver/defender encounters. All without any holding. Amazing. But yeah, it's just how the league goes. At least for some of the teams. Other? Not so much it seems. And honestly saying it's just how it goes isn't good enough. It needs to be fair and called correctly. The numbers scream obvious bias against us. This needs to be addressed and fixed.

How to fix the reffing problem in the NFL
All_Pro_Bills replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
They won't see a problem until fans decide they've had enough and stop supporting the product by hitting the league and their sponsors in the wallet. -

The reality is there was no violent attempt to overthrow democracy. But we've been over this a number of times already. Explain how an unarmed and unorganized group of misfits and outcasts at the US Capitol are going to overthrow the US government? Where's the plan? A couple text messages? Maybe a stick figure drawing on a Chucky Cheese napkin? A diagram in the dirt made by a stick in front of the Capitol? Not only that what's the plan to maintain control of uprising in the face of law enforcement, the intelligence community, and the US military? It's absurd. Hell, on another thread you're not even concerned with taking on the entire Russian military but you think some group of protesters is a real threat to pull off the unseating of our government? It's a simply preposterous manufactured delusion meant for political theater as provided by "the committee". It can't be soon enough for this bullsheet to end. -
502 pass attempts in 13 games for the season. So 2 holdings in 502 pass attempts. No defensive holding in 99.6% of pass attempts. Even worse, take into account a significant number of 4 and 5 receiver sets and the opportunities to hold multiply out to 2,000+ receiver/defender engagements. In accounting for coverage opportunities in reality it might be 2 in 2,000+. Which is even more unbelievable. Looking at it that way 99.9% of receivers out in the pattern were not held at any time by the defender. Sounds impossible.
