Yeah, all market researchers and psychologists agree that insulting someone and then asking them for a favor or support is a terrible approach to get another individual to have positive view of you or your cause. The amazing part of it is how social justice advocates as a group cannot understand this common sense conclusion.

Democracy’s Fiery Ordeal: The War in Ukraine 🇺🇦
All_Pro_Bills replied to Tiberius's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Endless wars is the one thing both political parties always agree on. -
9.4% of NYS inpatient hospital beds are occupied by COVID positive patients. All inpatients are tested when they are admitted so getting an accurate break out of those admitted "with COVID" or "for COVID" is difficult. 78.8% of NYS hospital beds are occupied by non-COVID patients. 19% are unoccupied. I wouldn't characterize these stats as stressing the system. Add in firing and dismissing workers which lowers capacity. If you're trying not to stress the system cutting capacity by eliminating care givers is a peculiar way to achieve that objective. The COVID "vaccines" do not immunize you against infection. They "protect" you by treating the symptoms and producing some antibodies which lowers the severity of the illness you experience. They also do not eliminate transmission. In the traditional definition of a vaccine which is conveying immunity the COVID vaccines are not vaccines but rather by their observable and measurable function they are prophylactic treatments. None of the official messaging reflects any of this.

Reasons they're 7-6 Negatives Settling for FG's instead of TD's in the red zone. Too many drive and field position killing penalties on offense. Poor run defense. Predictable play calls on offense. No running game on offense. Positives Josh Allen super-human one man show. Turnovers. Kick off and punt coverage. Even with problems can still finish at 11-6 (or 10-7) and make the playoffs.

I remember commentators saying the Bills playing on the road for Thanksgiving might be a blessing in disguise because that will keep the players from attending family gatherings where close contact could result in infections. Around 75% of cases are among people sharing households. Delaying games more than a couple days at this point in the season is going to be difficult as all bye weeks have been taken and there's no slack in the schedule to push out anything to a week 19.

Contempt Pt. II: Just in case it wasn't Antifa, prominent Fox News personalities, members of congress, and Donald Jr, who somehow couldn't get ahold of his father any other way, reach out to Mark Meadows on 1/6 to try to get Trump to stop the insurrection
All_Pro_Bills replied to 716er's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'll give you points for tenacity but don't you ever get tired of supporting these failed investigations and witch hunts? Do you really believe any of this is going to lead to Trump being indicted or brought up on charges? Do you really believe this group of lost souls and misfits was attempting to overthrow the Federal government of the United States? Do you really believe this is the best use of Congressional time while everything is falling apart around us? Do you really believe law enforcement represented by the FBI missed some big and obvious conspiracy when they concluded none existed? Do you really believe this collective group of buffoons is going to uncover something huge? Once more It's all going to end in a wall of tears. And Emmy nomination qualifying level political theater. The Democrats of the current era are like some doomsday cult that periodically gets worked up over their end of the world prediction (end of world = nailing Trump). Every few months making all kinds of plans and pronouncements about the end of the world. Gathering on the day of reckoning on some hill top or open field somewhere for some ceremonies and speeches, prepared for the end, and then waking up the next day to find out nothing happened. Then trudging back to reality and then doing it all over again. Keeping the faith in the face of constant failure. Soon enough it will be time to wake up to another failure. But knock yourself out believing these myths here for as long as it lasts. -
It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
All_Pro_Bills replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
All these health officials, politicians, and various administrators chant the mantra of their belief that vaccines are "safe and effective" while insisting they're following the science. And as with all belief systems there comes a "moment of truth" when you find out what they really believe in their hearts and minds. Now we know what the administration at Cornell, which insisted on vaccine mandates really believes about the effectiveness of vaccine mandates. -
Actually it was the officials fault the Bills went three and out in OT because on 3rd down Diggs was grabbed and pulled at the right shoulder when he broke to the ball by TB CB Davis on the play. But it, like other infractions, wasn't called. Watch the replay. As far as how the league is the Bills have passed over 500 times yet have gotten just two defensive holding calls all season. That seems impossible for a team that relies on the passing game for the big majority of their offense. Both calls against Howard of Miami. One of the league's best corners. But other Corners, Safeties, and Linebackers of less skill and less experience have not one time held any Bills receiver. Add in the 4 and 5 receivers sets and statistically its likely over 2,000 receiver/defender encounters. All without any holding. Amazing. But yeah, it's just how the league goes. At least for some of the teams. Other? Not so much it seems. And honestly saying it's just how it goes isn't good enough. It needs to be fair and called correctly. The numbers scream obvious bias against us. This needs to be addressed and fixed.

How to fix the reffing problem in the NFL
All_Pro_Bills replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
They won't see a problem until fans decide they've had enough and stop supporting the product by hitting the league and their sponsors in the wallet. -

The reality is there was no violent attempt to overthrow democracy. But we've been over this a number of times already. Explain how an unarmed and unorganized group of misfits and outcasts at the US Capitol are going to overthrow the US government? Where's the plan? A couple text messages? Maybe a stick figure drawing on a Chucky Cheese napkin? A diagram in the dirt made by a stick in front of the Capitol? Not only that what's the plan to maintain control of uprising in the face of law enforcement, the intelligence community, and the US military? It's absurd. Hell, on another thread you're not even concerned with taking on the entire Russian military but you think some group of protesters is a real threat to pull off the unseating of our government? It's a simply preposterous manufactured delusion meant for political theater as provided by "the committee". It can't be soon enough for this bullsheet to end. -
502 pass attempts in 13 games for the season. So 2 holdings in 502 pass attempts. No defensive holding in 99.6% of pass attempts. Even worse, take into account a significant number of 4 and 5 receiver sets and the opportunities to hold multiply out to 2,000+ receiver/defender engagements. In accounting for coverage opportunities in reality it might be 2 in 2,000+. Which is even more unbelievable. Looking at it that way 99.9% of receivers out in the pattern were not held at any time by the defender. Sounds impossible.

CNN reported at the time it was a mostly peaceful insurrection. But the lack of fires and weapons made them suspicious of the event. At that point they realized it wasn't an Antifa or BLM protest by rather a pro-Trump event which resulted in an immediate change of narrative along with their marketing department developing the catch-phrase "the biggest threat to democracy since the Civil War". A line often repeated by many since. Now the most recent news flash about the committee's latest discovery. People talk to each other! A stunning smoking gun revelation after 10 months of investigation.

I forgot about this clown show committee. I'll be LMAO when it's over and nothing happens again. Maybe this committee can do something useful for a change and investigate why the officiating crew from Sunday's Bills game refused to call all the obvious holding and interference calls committed by the Tampa defense? And issue a subpoena for all the text messages between Brady and the NFL league office. -
If I'm McDermott I would have blown my cool by this point. I'd be doing more than whining. I'd be up there at the Monday press conference reviewing game tape of all the interference, holding, jersey grabbing, tackling, and obstruction fouls the official obviously missed or intentionally let go that were committed by the Tampa defense during the game one-by-one for the press in attendance and the national media watching the event. And asking a simple question for each one. Does what you see constitute an infraction based on the rules? How could the official have missed some specifically flagrant fouls when he's positioned about 5 feet away from the players? And call out the league office and force them to come up with one of their standard contorted versions of reality to explain the non-calls. From the perspective of a fan that commits some of my income and a 4 hour window of free time on a weekly basis to watch a team be consistently victimized by bias from the officials I've had enough and if they don't address it I have to question what's the point in me wasting my time and money on a bogus and flawed product called the NFL? Others might feel the same way I expect.
-
What expectation? That the players should be expecting the officials are going to cheat and bend the rule in favor of their opponent in order to determine the outcome of the game?
-
But it is about what the refs do or don't do. The players have an expectation they'll call the game fair and square. Whether they call it tight or lose. Call it fair and even. They shouldn't have to embellish or take a dive because the officials fail to do their job correctly. Last night the ref's failed the game and they poorly represented their profession.

Health care costs
All_Pro_Bills replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ever see one of those medivac helicopters land on the highway to take somebody to the hospital after a bad car crash? Wonder how much that costs? It's all out of network. You can send your kid to college for a couple years for less than the price of one ride to the hospital. The US health care system is one big cost maximizing racket from one end to the other end of the care system. Doctors, lawyers, and administrators make out well. Nurses and other health care workers not so much. And somebody's got to pay for two Tesla's, a nice Summer time getaway home, those country club memberships, and tennis lessons for the six year old. -
And here's the problem. Is there anyone paying attention that didn't expect the Buc's defense to bring pressure on Allen because the offensive line has deficiencies and running game is non-existent? Every person following football had to know it was coming. There just doesn't seem to be any learning curve at play here. So where in the game plan created and installed during the week was that awareness? And if they didn't plan on it then why did it take an entire half to adjust for the obvious issues the defense was giving our offense? It should have taken McDermott a couple drives on offense, and defense to boot, for him to huddle up with Daboll and Frazier to direct them to make the necessary adjustments. Adjustments we saw play out in the 2nd half rally. That's what the good coaches do. You don't crap the bed on the field for an entire half and wait to get down 21 points before making adjustments. Now let me try to guess what the Carolina defense is going to prepare to do next Sunday? What o what could it be?
-
The team claimed the idea behind signing Trubisky was a plan for addressing this type of scenario. We might be about to find out if that was a good plan or not.
-
McDermott is likely here to stay for a couple more years. Last off season I was concerned we'd lose one or both of our coordinators to head coaching opportunities. This year I'd welcome that change. And this roster still has some holes in places we all know about already and the defense is simply over-rated.
-
I propose removal of the sub-section of the pass interference rule that "allows defenders to interfere with, impede, grab, or hold Bills receivers and not receive a penalty".
-
If the Bills re-sign Edmunds, they're stupid.
All_Pro_Bills replied to damj's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can see Edmunds being a more productive player in a 3-4 on a team like the Steelers. As stated, he just doesn't have the instincts or visualization skills to "see" the field to anticipate and read the play. But if the Bills are playing a 4-3 (or 4-3-5) we need an MLB like CJ Mosley who is a real good player that signed a nice deal with a lousy Jets franchise. And trade this expensive 8 or 9 man defensive line rotation for a couple top-end players at DE and DT. Keeping ineffective players fresh isn't a sound approach. As others have said here there is something lacking in the defensive scheme. We need a couple impact players added here in the off season (which I don't really want to think about but am already!). -
Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers Postgame thread
All_Pro_Bills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
More than missed calls my gripe with officiating is consistency. Consistency throughout the game, between the crews, and week to week. You watch 5 or 6 different games on a Sunday and you see 5 or 6 different standards being applied across the league. In one game they let everything go and in another game they call everything including stuff that's not even close to being an infraction. I know these officials have a tough job and have to make split second judgments, but they've got to be more equitable and blind to the names on the backs of the jerseys when making calls. Watching week to week and game to game you might be left with the impression these crews are playing favorites. And who got the idea to eliminate PI reviews? Like yesterday, you're putting the flag away then put it away. Don't let 2 or 3 obvious calls against one team go and then make one against the other when the games in OT. -
One other thing that needs to be addressed is WR
All_Pro_Bills replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not a permanent solution but my red zone idea is to give Rousseau a couple goal line plays at WR. He's got good hands and experience at playing WR in his development years so why not? Find me one CB that's got the physical characteristics and height to cover him in the end zone? Throw the ball 3 feet over everybody's head and he just reaches up and grabs the ball, Could have been used in the last two game in late 4th quarter situations. Why not give it a try? Its better than coming up empty at the end of the game. -
Week 14 Gameday Bills at Buccaneers Postgame thread
All_Pro_Bills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, at least buy us dinner first. And thanks for stealing a great comeback and a gut it out performance by Allen with a PI call against the Bills defense they wouldn't make and obviously were afraid to make against Tampa's secondary with several opportunities to do so at the end of the 4th and OT. Like we've seen so many times before the Bills get hurt by inconsistent officiating at a critical point in the game. Was their anyone watching the end of the game here that didn't expect the ref's to screw the Bills at the end?
