Not crazy people. But more than able to generate a host of excuses and explanations about why in the case of their guy having unauthorized possession of top secret files, and no detailed understanding and knowledge of the situation, to immediately dig in their heels to defend the idea its no big deal. As their base assumption is always their team is the pinnacle of virtue and truth did you expect anything else?

Young idealists trained by the intellectual class at universities and colleges that believe the side they support is playing fair and the other side is cheating. But when you get a little older you realize reality is both sides are cheating.

This partisan fight over funding the IRS to support Federal tax revenue collection is moot because there are no constraints on how much the government can spend other than the rubber stamp annual Congressional vote. To make up any gap in budget vs. tax revenue they just borrow as much money as they need to fund whatever they decide to fund. And never pay it back. While this Ponzi scheme Federal budget process is unsustainable the fun part is to do the math, look at currently rising rates, and debt rollover funding, and time out when all Federal tax revenue will be necessary to fund interest payments on the national debt. But I expect well before that happens the world of finance will figure it out and the Sheet will hit the fan for the Washington spending machine and it will be game over.

Dolphins fans opinions on what we have to say about them 🤔

Scared of Tau? No. Concerned for his health and long-term well-being? Yes. Given his recent concussions, missing a couple weeks, and a new found awareness of player safety concerns as a result of Damar's close call with death they'd be nuts to put him at risk of serious injury on Sunday where one hit of any intensity might be a health and PR disaster. Be smart and sit the guy. -
What we're doing is supplying an almost unlimited amount of resources to engage in a US/NATO led proxy war of attrition against Russia using Ukrainian soldiers and civilians as cannon fodder. I personally know many Ukrainians, as my sister-in-law and her family are Ukrainian, through helping with humanitarian aid efforts during the conflict and I can tell you with certainty the majority as they watch their home country being destroyed do not share your view of the conflict or their government or your view of Russia or the motivations of the U.S. So please stop being a useful idiot for this senseless carnage. Everyone, everywhere needs to start demanding all parties come to terms for peace.

Flynn was set up by the FBI and charged with "lying" to investigators. Stone was convicted of lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstruction. Bannon was convicted of ignoring a House subpoena. None of this amounts to high crimes against the State. So what's the point of suggesting a Trump/Bolsanaro meeting has some nefarious intent? Because last I checked, absent some declaration of war or hostilities, it's not a crime to speak to foreigners.

More like China. The new government has agreed to host Chinese troops and other military personal at bases to be established inside Brazil. We know the American left loves the CCP (and hates Russia which is illogical because they're working together against us) so they will ignore this not to be mentioned situation.

This is getting both boring and predictable. None of these flunkies in the US media or twitter know for sure what's going on in Brazil nor do they seem cognizant of the history of elections in the country. Without examining a shred of evidence or setting foot on the ground there they have nothing tangible that might support or not support their contention. But they're all damn certain that there were no election fraud issues and any violence or chaos has to do with Trump. That's how propaganda works and its quite a story they spin.

Biden and the crises er challenge on the border
All_Pro_Bills replied to Unforgiven's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I understand all of that. But here's the dilemma. Resources, capital, labor, other inputs of the physical and financial world are finite. You can't help everyone, you can't fund everything, you can't do everything. There are benefits, cost, constraints, limits, choices, priorities, and trade offs. The government's ability to spend is constrained by the amount of tax revenue it collects and by how much credit it can issue. That's the nature of the budgeting, spending, and prioritization process. The other thing I might add is our government is already providing the funding and assistance for what creates these Central American authoritarian military police states that terrorize their own citizens. Which creates the environment where people find it imperative to flee these conditions. So now you're asking us to not only fund the creation of the problem but also the solution to the problem? Just stop sending guns and assistance to these governments. Problem solved. -

Obviously you are morally superior to many of us here. But given that, nobody is stopping you from doing that on your own. If you feel so strongly, then why don't you and other like-minded individuals get yourselves into one of these countries, commit your savings and assets to the cause, and help make it happen? Instead of insisting the taxpayers pick up the tab for something they might now be up to doing because they see other priorities here at home. -
Biden and the crises er challenge on the border

There are work visa programs for admitting foreign workers that match specific skill deficiencies and needs in the economy. Flooding the country in an uncontrolled manner with low skill and mostly uneducated "workers" that may or may not match to "open" jobs which may require all forms of public assistance for the foreseeable future isn't the answer. And as far as American workers, so they don't want to work. If they are of sound mind and body, frankly I don't care what they want. I wouldn't want to work either if I could get all my expenses and bills paid by the taxpayer through public assistance programs. Send me 3 or 4 grand a month and I prove my point. We need to be honest here and start addressing the issues of motivation and incentive regarding work. You're position is neither sound nor logical. If every person on Earth that could improve their living standards or life migrated into the U.S. there would be more than 5 Billion people in the country. With the only means test being their claim to asylum. What your suggesting is we should be "compassionate" and welcome that situation. -

We don't need workers. Based on around a 62% workforce participation rate we have plenty of citizens that choose not to enter the workforce because they can get "paid" more through various forms of Federal and State assistance to stay home. Its the classic labor/leisure principle. If you get $15 an hour to stay home all day or $16 to get up at 6 AM every day to work a 40 hour week which would you choose? Also, people at the border are generally presenting themselves, and being processed, as asylum seekers. People fleeing from political persecution or are in danger from one thing or another in their home country. People coming into the country for economic reasons do not qualify to be processed as a person seeking asylum. -
But I think a lot of that late game success is due to the opponent's QB needing to take more risks because the Bills offense is putting points up and it comes down to playing against the 4th quarter clock, figuring the number of potential possessions left, and the need to score 2+ times in order to win the game.

Which begs the question how do the Bills opponents DB's glue themselves to our receivers consistently? Is it scheme or coaching or skill?

Biden and the crises er challenge on the border

Maybe this Kate is a good person but this has nothing to do with emotions. But the progressive-regressive mind defines every issue and event with emotion and feeling so it's only natural they project that view onto everyone else. I think there's a lot of curiosity about the motivation here after ignoring the place for a couple years that suddenly the President and his handlers have decided to take a trip to the border. It looks like to run the victim and blame the other guy play. I have full confidence the Republicans with complete knowledge its coming but will still be woefully unprepared to respond. -

The walking dead commander in chief could have visited the border at any time and certainly much sooner but suddenly, and perhaps by coincidence, his handlers decided it was time to make an appearance immediately after the change in control of the House of Representatives. So over/under on two minutes into his remarks he blames "the other guy" for the situation? If anything, this group of political grifters is predictable. -
I won't dispute stats but that number isn't a sign of prosperity and instead a sign lots of people are falling into poverty. And that's my general argument, our standard of living and quality of life is deteriorating. Most people not paying taxes don't earn enough money. That's hardly a positive. How much billionaires pay is governed by how the tax law defines "income" for the tax year. Blame lobbyists for the wealthy, Congress, and the Chief Executive for that one. That's just how crony capitalism works where the politically connected get rich by gaming the system at the expense of the general population. If the voters don't like that then stop voting for establishment Democrats and Republicans. And the biggest tax of all is inflation. You can thank decades of loose Fed monetary policy and massive government borrowing and low-value spending. Unfortunately, I see all these bills coming due and things taking a big turn for the worse in 2023 for most people that aren't prepared or not even aware of things because they're fed constant BS from the media playing up the establishment's fairy tale all is great theme.

Progressive idealists talk a good game but they're phonies that are afraid of the uncertainty and risk that true democracy carries with it. They're comfortable with authoritarian rule as long as they "feel" good about it. They think debate and disagreement is equivalent to terrorism. Their social justice agenda is a frivolity enabled by good times led by people with no real problems of their own and hands in somebody else's pocket picking up the tab. That's not to excuse the "Right" either. They also talk a good game but when it comes to the moment of truth, they fail to deliver time and again. Let's just say my expectations for the "new" House are pretty low. Most likely they'll deliver nothing. And when it comes to war spending there's no line or division between these left and right segments. They're all in on it. My problem is the government is simply sucking the life out of the country. It's too big and intrusive. And what have they done lately? Say, 30 years ago a couple could raise a family on an average salary with one person needing to work. Today, both have to work just to break even. Along with the Fed they've systematically destroyed the value of the dollar. Our money is trending toward worthless. That's progress? You could go to college or send your kids without having to mortgage your home or commit your retirement funds or take out huge loans that burden borrowers for years. We've got all kinds of technology and science but now a trip to the hospital can be followed by a trip to bankruptcy. Taxes are way too high sucking 40, maybe 60 percent of some people's earnings. Huge government spending has sucked the life out of the American middle and working classes. All this is what, progress? But hey, on your way to the poorhouse and living in the streets you can rest at ease that you'll be addressed with your preferred pronouns.

Ray Epps et al. and the FEDSURRECTION
All_Pro_Bills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Except in the case of J6. The DOJ assumed a take no prisoners, show no mercy approach to identifying and charging anyone and everyone they could. With Epps being an exception. An inexplicable exception in their quest to pursue and punish as many protesters as possible. One guy that should have obviously been arrested using the standards applied is spared. I still haven't heard or seen any logical or reasonable explanation why they let him go. Absent that the conclusion he was an agency asset is perfectly logical and clearly not disproven by anything that has transpired to this point. The government now or in future hearings can easily put the question to rest by simply saying he wasn't. But that may be lying. -

You seem to be very adept at "making this up". Given what is already publicly known defending Epps is a losing battle and certainly no hill to die on. But that's your choice. His entire story to date fails to measure up against basic common sense as no explanation to date jives with observed reality. But then again, as we all know reality is what progressives, and their fantasies seek to avoid. Because Epps is far from "some random guy". We've all seen the video of his activity. If nothing else, he's a clear example of the inconsistency of how the law has been applied against the protesters of J6. Just what was his role, as a government asset or not? I suspect we'll find out more soon enough. I expect Mr. Epps, and others, will receive some request to appear before a House committee to explain his specific role and will quickly lawyer up, shut his mouth, and plead the 5th to any probing questions concerning his potential association with entities inside the US government. Over time we'll come to know this as the American version of Reichstag Fire. Count on it.
