  1. They were no longer in their prime.
  2. All things aren’t created equal. Flacco has a terrible year that led to being benched and the writing was on the wall as to which way the Ravens were going. Tyrod on the other hand had a decent season before being traded. While he wasn’t playing lights out he did make the playoffs and break the drought. So.....
  3. No. Too many variables and they haven’t won enough to have set an example for the “new” guys on how it is done. And with Kyle gone veteran leadership took a step back. As the great philosopher Jagger says, “you can’t always get what you want”
  4. Ever heard about the concept of rent free?
  5. Just not top rated defenses....this year anyway.
  6. As Edward G. told Steve McQueen in Cincinnati Kid, “ you’re pretty good kid, but as long as I am around you will still be second best.” Young hot shot coaches <the hoodie
  7. Last night’s game showed that the OP was right all along. Coach put in a plan to stifle the second coming of the Greatest Show on Turf (after dismantling the best in the AFC) and well you know how it turned out by now. Brady was fairly pedestrian, doesn’t play defense and as Sean McVay said “ I got out coached.” I would still take Belichick over Brady.
  8. Is it too soon for GurleyGate?
  9. They are who we thought they were
  10. We deserve this because they have taken our lunch money 29 of the last 32 times?
  11. I think Belichick would still have some rings without Brady. Steve Young did well after Montana thanks to his skill set and Coach Walsh. Belichick would have found someone else and plugged them in to his system.
  12. Sorry but that is your opinion. Everyone has them. No one knows what would have happened if..... So, we disagree, big deal. Belichick has more rings than Tommy. I still take the Coach.
  13. Brady goes to any other team, he doesn’t have near the career or GOAT status. On the other hand Belichick without Brady still has a substantial legacy. I take Belichick over Brady every time, because Belichick can scheme for and beat Brady.
  14. 29 and 3 pretty much sums it up
  15. I didn’t know you guys were married
  16. They certainly could do it but my guess is they probably won’t. I think McBeane’s pragmatism does mesh with Clowney’s price tag.
  17. Who exactly is staying one step ahead of Belichick? The writing for the Super Bowl narrative looks pretty clear. The heavy Patriot O line should be able to run on the lighter DLine of LA. Oops..... And that bit about Belichick not drafting well is a bit flawed IMO. Sony Michel, first round running back, had a great season. Drafting running backs early is soooo bad.
  18. Really? None of the top 5 defenses are still playing. OBD needs you.
  19. My bad, it is the differential where we were at the bottom of the league.
  20. And that is something we didn’t do well....
  21. He is why I am cheering for the Rams (outside of the obvious). I had a girlfriend when he was with the Bills call him Captain Kangaroo
  22. KC: 8-6 HOU: 1-13 MIN: 7-7 NYJ: 7-7 SD: 4-9-1 BUF: 4-9-1 BAL: 5-9 BUF: 4-9-1 NE: 3-11 NYJ: 7-7 STL: 4-9-1 NE: 3-11 NYG: 8-6 BAL: 5-9 Combined record: 70-122-4 (0.367 winning percentage) They played only two teams above .500 all season, and both of them only 8-6. Nobody in their schedule made the playoffs.
  23. One might also posit that KC is at home thanks to a phantom roughing the passer call, when Tommy’s helmet got “bumped”, for lack of a word that is suitable in this forum.
