They're completely different types of recievers. When we drafted Hardy, one of the biggest needs was a tall receiver. We got the tallest one. Desean Jackson is a burner type, a la Lee Evans and Roscoe Parrish. We didn't need anothe rone of those.

Not only that but there was that tackle on 4th down that completely reminded me of Troy Polamalu (can't remember, but I think it was a play Troy did against the Titans in the season opener).

Any ideas why he looked so great in the preseason though? Granted, it's the preseason, but he DID look effective against the Lions first team O-Line (granted...again...it's the Lions). But in general, he DID make plays, which is more than we can say so far this season.

Kyle Orton checks down more than Trent Edwards. I think when I was watching the past game, the announcer (can't remember who) said that he's only thrown somthing like 8 total passes that have traveled farther than 10 yards or something this season.

Yeah I was at the game too. Jets fans are usually the most low-lifed of the bunch. A bunch of a-holes were trash-talking at a few of us to go home right before they botched what would've been their game-winning FG in overtime. That shut them back up...thank god. Anyways, I've actually found that GIants fans are the ones that root for the Islanders. Just from people I know though, so who knows. Either way, Jets fans suck. Oh, and that was my first time taking the bowling ball shots. They were nasty.

During the halftime show, after highlights of the Pats* - Ravens game, regarding the roughing the passer call against Ray Lewis, told Tommie boy to "take off that skirt and put on some slacks", and to "toughen up."

From the limited number of replays that I saw, it looked like his shoulder, or elbow was down. Still, would've been a good thing to challenge, as I didn't really see anything definitive. It was weird, because he essentially got rolled UNDER (from what I saw) the defender, but ended up on his feet.

Yep, I think it actually happened this past weekend in one of the games on Saturday (either this past Saturday, or the week before. Saw it on SC highlights). Returning a failed 2-point conversion gets you 2 points in college football.

I'm not Lori, Tim, or John, but I figure I'd put my 2 cents in. IMO, I think it's all about continuity. Ralph is getting fed up with constantly changing coaches/systems over the past 12 years, and starting over again, and again, and again, and rebuilding over, and over, and over again. He must feel that we are close, and that if we just stick with the system for long enough, we'll finally make that push into the playoffs and beyond. Hiring a proven HC and staff will require that the system, and the players, most likely, will all need to be changed and overhauled as well, and Ralph doesn't want to see that happen again. Again, no facts here, but just my opinion.

What was up with the patriots* one? I couldn't tell if they were making fun of the patriots, defending them, or just simply making fun of all people from Boston in general.
