  1. Andrew Ramsey was promoted from the practice squad to fill the void
  2. And here's a quote of Fewell from Tim Graham's blog. It's SCARY how much he sounds like Jauron. Not good. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...2010-for-maybin "I think he's going to be a dynamic player for us. It's very tough to play in this league, and I think he will get better, and he’ll be a top-flight pick. Maybe not at the end of this season, but he’s going to be a top-flight pick for this football team."
  3. I don't mind if we win OR lose. What I DO want, is for our FO and coaching staff to start playing some of our young "talent," so to speak, so we actually get an idea of what they're capable of. If we win out with this crew, then it's a sign that we'll be in good shape for next season with our youngsters, and I won't mind a lower draft position. If we lose out, then drafting higher is needed. It's a win/win scenario in my mind, win OR lose. (yeah, that last sentence was somewhat confusing)
  4. Thoughts? I think amid all the talk of new GM's, and about how much our FO currently blows, we've forgotten that Buddy Nix just came in this past off-season from the chargers. He has a pretty damn good draft record (and if this first draft we've had with him pans out, then that just validates his ability to evaluate talent). Before he left the Chargers, there were talks of him possibly taking the Atlanta GM job. Anybody have any insight on the possibility of him being our guy? I say the only knock on him right now is the lack of ACTUAL GM experience (he's mostly been a talent evaluator and college scout), and that he's getting up there in age.
  5. But wasn't Reggie a LDE in a 4-3..not a 3-4?
  6. Regardless of that 3 and out from Texas, I liked what I saw out of McCoy there. He recognized that there was pressure coming off of a corner blitz, and tried to throw it to his wide-out on a quick slant. Too bad though, that the WR (don't know who it was) couldn't get off of the press. This is the time for everyone here on TSW to keep an eye out for our potential first/second round draft picks, regardless if it's Suh or McCoy!
  7. I keep on getting torn between whether or not it's our drafting that sucks, or if it's our coaching. A large part of "drafting" a stud player is actually developing them, and that has definitely played a part here. How our coaches manage to develop players like Wilson and McGee, all the while failing to do the same with Whitner is beyond me...
  8. You're such a Fewell supporter...you bastard! Just kidding, I actually completely agree with your sentiment. Let's just sit back at this point, and hope for the best.
  9. Let's hope this line starts working together now.
  10. This is what I thought. I thought he was just a talent scout, and it was Donahoe, Levy, and Ralph through the years that have made the actual picks. And as for why so many of the picks are not with the team, sure we've had our busts (ehem...Mike Williams), but we've had some successes that we've simply...let go... Don't really have time to do the full research and go into every single one at work (and I think it would be a very interesting read), but I don't THINK he's been that bad. Feel free to prove me wrong, because this isn't anything I'm dead-set convinced on either. John Guy, on the other hand...well he's a different story. Let's not even go into that pit of failure.
  11. I don't know why so many people are harping on Modrak being one of the key failures of this franchise. IMO, he has done well DESPITE John Guy and the others around him. We have a lot of really young talent on this team to build around. Yes, I know, there's a lot of speculation around how much influence he really had in the draft room, and how much of it was Levy or Ralph's decision-making. Still, I think he may be one of the bright spots in our debacle of a front office. Also, with GM candidates being thrown around, has anyone thought of maybe promoting Modrak into that position? This was brought up earlier, but he was previously a scout for the Steelers (under Donahoe), and a GM for the Eagles (anybody have insight as to how successful he was in either position?)
  12. As far as we know, the play that was called in was a run. RF checked out of it when he saw something pre-snap. I vaguely remember, after the play, seeing PF look somewhat angry after that play, but I simply chalked it up to him being intense. Looks like Perry is a bit of a lier
  13. If only Maybin and our LB's had arms that big, maybe one day he'd get a sack. One can dream...
  14. Byrd's right arm looks HUGE!
  15. Might as well anoint us as the Buffalo Jills while you're at it.
  16. It's Tuesday mornings like this that make me happy to be a Bills fan
  17. Best Democrat-bashing one-liner that I've read in a while. You just made my day
  18. Actually, you CAN win 'em all. And not like it matters...you won't get there.
  19. I'm loving that Brady is being a scared little B word and isn't finishing the game he started.
  20. Maybin made a play!
  21. Not good enough to overcome a 10 yard holding penalty.... but good enough to overcome a 12-yard sack? Or should I just say "lucky enough" instead of "good enough"...since we all know the Bills aren't "good enough".
  22. What's with us and "wide right"? I feel like this happens every game.
  23. I like it. I vaguely remember his name being mentioned a few years ago as a potential guy for the Bills...I think.
  24. Just saw them talking about it on the pre-game show. Why haven't we done this yet?
