  1. Todd McShay rips on Levefour, says he's the most overrated prospect in the draft, and believes that he's a 5th or 6th round talent. Makes the following points: - stiff upper body - inaccurate - no idea about the pro-style passing game - indecisive - doesn't think he's a good leader - won a lot of games at a middle level school http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5027351 Go to about the 5:45 mark where he begins on this.
  2. Ahh, my bad. Must've mixed it up in my head with when he ran in 2007.
  3. Either way, it's a moot point, as he would be running for office in Massachusetts, not Buffalo.
  4. What's not to understand? It's similar to the lack of "McGahee" love around here. McGahee bashed the city of Buffalo, the fans, the team, and let's not forget, the WOMEN. Fred Smerlas, on his radio show, bashed the team, owner, fans, etc... you're a fan right? That means he's been bashing you.
  5. Says his attorney is Bill Kelly...when I first read that, I took a double-take because I thought it was Jim Kelly for a sec.
  6. That makes one of us... on that note though, I actually agree with you that KW is a great player, all around. However, even with his great work ethic, leverage, and first step, I don't feel like he will command double, and triple teams at the LOS. His main job, if he's a NT, would be to clog up the middle and protect the 2 ILB's from the O-Line. In a 2-gap defensive 3-4 front, if KW only commands attention from the Center, there's 2 Guards that are free to go and pummel Pos and Andra (and I guess, Mitchell). THIS is what I'm worried about with KW at NT...which is why I'm most comfortable with him getting in there on passing downs, but not early downs, and obvious rushing situations.
  7. Soo....Dwan Edwards is the NT? He's what...290? He's a RE in the 3-4..not a NT.
  8. That's...what...she said?
  9. Here you go. http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story?id=090...mp;confirm=true
  10. Coming in a few minutes. They called him Robosack.
  11. I've been trying to find a place to watch this online, or for download...but can't find anything anywhere. Anyone have a link/resource? I don't care how painful it is to watch...it's still one of the most wonderful things, watching the ascent of a Bills team on the verge of greatness.
  12. But Stroud's role wasn't to 2-gap in our scheme... believe it or not, he was actually our "penetrating" 3-technique, where most of the time, he was supposed to be lined up 1-on-1 over the shoulder of the LG. The cover-2 that we ran scheme doesn't call for any 2-gapping players, except for the LE (Kelsay). Kyle Williams was our NT that was supposed to take on both the C and the RG, theoretically creating a mismatch with Stroud over the LG..so it's a very different type of player that plays a 4-3 under tackle and a 3-4 5-technique. Case in point... one of the best 3-4 under tackles EVER in Warren Sapp pretty much failed as a 5-technique in Oakland's 3-4.
  13. He can be the waterboy?
  14. There's also the fact that BS played in a 1-gap 3-4...where his role is similar to an under-DT in a 4-3. Dwan Edwards played a 2-gap 3-4 where his his purpose was gap responsibility.
  15. JW...any update yet?? Yes, I know its late.
  16. Scroll down there and you'll see that some fans wanted to trade him for Whitner!
  17. It means that there's nothing to post. "Title says it all", basically.
  18. You're not a true Bills fan unless you're incredibly unhappy with the product that you love so much. If you can actually be happy with what you've seen this past season, then you're definitely not a Bills fan.
  19. But little does Nix know that Claussen pickles are a Kraft Food brand... and by buying the pickles, he is inadvertently supporting the patriots.
  20. lol let's bring in Jim Sorgi
  21. You're supposed to build around your strength. If you have a franchise QB, and a terrible Defense, then you build around your QB. If you have good defensive backs (like us), then you build around them, and complete your defense with a good front 7. Help your DB's out. This is the mantra that Bill Polian seems to follow... at least with the colts. I read an article somewhere that said he basically built the colts around Peyton Manning. Even when the colts D was absolutely terrible, he just kept on spending high draft picks on WR's, and weapons for his QB. Seemed the work.
  22. He could be Buddy Nix, moonlighting on the TSW lol.
  23. Exactly what I was trying to say in another post. Yeah, Williams could play in a 1-gap...but with George Edwards learning the 3-4 from Bill Parcells, it has to be a 2-gap style for the long-run.
  24. But Williams wasn't the 3-technique in our cover two. He played as our NT (over the shoulder of the C, between the G, a 1-technique if you will). Which is why I've been saying that he could play NT in a 1-gap 3-4, a-la Wade Phillips in Dallas.
