  1. yes, that has appeared to be your opinion since before Willis played, so there is no surprise that it is now as well. Apparently the coaching staff does not agree. And as is all too often pointed out on this board, we aren't coaches, we aren't assistant coaches....we are just opinions and if our opinions were always right, i suppose we would be coaches. You can spew venom towards TH all you want, but he has been the bright spot for this bills offense for the last two years and has earned the right lose his job by evaluation of the coaches. The two backs should be used together IMO, but travis remains the starter for now.
  2. Uh, according to the play-by-play on NFL.com, Willis had 32 yards rushing by half time......should he have been pulled? Also, interestingly, the average per running play for both teams was 4.4 ypc. I guess we should have kept sammy morris because he must also be a potential best RB in the NFL. See how stats don't tell much of a story.
  3. That was the best post on this issue that i have read. very nice.
  4. Well....can we agree that is your opinion? my take would be that the more an offense struggles, the more an offense struggles....meaning, if you can't pass you can 't run and if you can't run you can't pass. This team has done nothing well. But when you have a back averaging 6.5 yards through 3 quarters you can't say the man isn't running well. I don't contend that he hasn't made mental mistakes, but so if every false start or throw in the dirt. I am just tired of hearing how Travis is THE problem and Willis is THE answer. Neither is true. And as far as the competition, that always favors the guy on the bench. He has nothing to do but improve while the guy on the field has to worry about the microscope scrutinizing every dropped pass. By the way, did you see willis' dropped pass? Everyone drops passes, my point is, everyone glosses over that....for willis......right now.
  5. Sorry, you have to see the irony in it all after all the carping that has gone on here about how willis WILL score!!! it is funny to me.
  6. Oh come on John, you know better than that. You can't compare those numbers because you are talking about a 1 game snapshot. Travis was avering over 6.5 in a game through 3 quarters....the circumstances skew the numbers.
  7. had the Defense not scored 7, would we have won? Seeing as we had to settle for 3 from inside the 5. Explain that, you mean to tell with two, count em, two chances inside the 5, Willis didn't score? Say it ain't so, Joe!
  8. Really Coach Malarkey? You know that for sure? If he is so bad, and made all of those mistakes that are clearly his fault, why has our coaching staff not taken action? Could it be that the blame you lay at his feet isn't correct or shared in their view......nah....can't be.
  9. Again....answer my question...because all i have heard for the last few week is when we get inside the 5 give it to Willis because he WILL score. And....how many attempts? How many TDs? If we had an experienced coach, Travis would have one rushing TD since the replay shows that he did in fact score. Oops? Challenge? What's that?
  10. Oh yeah.....you CAN'T!!!!!
  11. Could any one of you describe to me the play where willis scored yesterday with that nose for the endzone?
  12. In one game you can assess that???? I saw a dropped pass. Where are the criticisms for that? Look, the reality is that E. Moulds has had a dropped pass in EVERY game (or so it seems). Nobody harps on that. TH is this board's second whipping boy (second to Drew Bledsoe) and most of the comments are generalizations. Willis had a good game, against a very bad team who gave the ball back alot. Having two good backs is a blessing, but on this board you would think that there can be only one RB on this team. It just makes zero sense to me. Travis is a guy who has played over his expectations (by draft pick i mean) or at least to expectations.....it is a hell of lot easier to find guys who haven't even come close. But blaming one guy is the trend. I find it humorous that this is the same board of people who defended RJ when somehow the line got mysteriously worse everytime he played. Yet when he was replaced by a short player to be named later, the sacks went away. I guess rationality and fan(aticism) do not ever meet.
  13. I would like to know where that "nose for the endzone" was. Man, had Henry failed the same way Willis did yesterday, this board would have Rosened from the flood of TH sucks threads.
  14. I almost hit a 6 team parlay at Ceasar's yesterday....yet they still kept my money. I tried the almost argument, funny thing....nobody cared. The reality...we were favored by 5 points.....with home field and the weather, everyone in-the-know thinks it is a dead heat. Only fans looks at the almosts....sad but true.
  15. wow...i didn't see that. I did see the Bills/Dolphins game yesterday though.
  16. They have a good O? is that sarcasm???? they have like 55 points in six games. You have got to be smoking the good crack man.
  17. The funny think is, had Henry had the exact same game....the usual suspects on this board would be talking about how he can't get in the end zone....on at least 3 tries....was it more. i saw the game think that not getting in the end zone for Willis is par for the course with this team and Oline. By not scoring a TD does that reveal something about Willis? No. does it vindicate TH not having a rushing TD? Maybe...maybe not. Getting a hundred yards rushing against the worst team in the NFL may not speak volumes. It is a great start for Willis but it doesn't make him the god among men many here seem to be claiming. Hypocrisy knows no bounds at TBD.
  18. 1 for 7 on third down, he sucks, trade him for a number 1.
  19. you know the funny thing about all this is that every person on this board who spews venom assumes that every other team in the NFL would gladly take Henry, and i think they are right. These are also the same people who think that every other team has a smarter GM and a better coach. So by taking Henry, these teams would continue to be better and smarter than the bills. the logic escapes me.
  20. Yeah and Willis whiffed on one block resulting in a sack and was ejected from the backfield on another. Good lord, stop canonizing a guy who has played essentially less than one half of a pro football game and showed little more effectness than the other guy. Additionally, he still is slowed by that injury. Hell, he was caught from behind by a D lineman and not John Abraham. Both RB's can contribute to this team and we need them both. This has turned into a board full of Spiked Lemonades.
  21. Impossible, had Willis not touched his fridge already. Board Rules: Rag JP, see how far up Willis' posterior you can shove your nose. Easy to follow really. Oh yeah, rip any other bills player at random. Repeat ad nauseaum
  22. So what you are saying is anyone who has any intelligence should leave. And anyone who could choose to leave would do so. Sucks to work for !@#$ who gives you crappy assignments and makes careless decisions with your life.
  23. At one point he was averaging over 6 yards a carry. You guys are amazing. The stumble was all on him, but so was that entire drive. I can't wait unitl Willis plays so we will have a new whipping boy. Jesus this team has nothing but complainers for fans. How about looking the D who has failed to stop anyone when it really counted. Talk to me about what you see on the defensive side of the ball that gives you any confidence. The reality is if we go in and score on that drive, the D would have given up points following anyway. No doubt in my mind. Brady had all day to throw the ball whenever he needed time.
