Honestly, if we are talking purely 3rd stringer....DJ Shockley. The kid has a great arm, is mobile and the game i watched him in (atl) he showed some real poise. I like what he did at Georgia with a less than stellar team. It would be nice to see if he pans out.

I like Tony K....a lot...he is like a normal guy commentating....tony Romo....rib cook....that killed me.... and he just called Bledsoe a pinata.....i love it. he is the anti-theisman.

Now theisman says he likes TO...it just never ends. His insights are enlightening.

...what the heck is wrong with people in buffalo. I just saw a good number of highlights on the NFL network. The pick for TD is totally on Reed...what kind of route involves sort of running and stuttering around? Even the announcers said that reed needs to run a route and make a decision. But good god, looking at the other throws they showed of Losman's....damn, that kid can sling the football....and be extremely accurate. What are you people looking for.....he is going to make mistakes....Jim used to throw at least a dumb pick a game..or so it seemed....so what....he had the skills and clearly...so does JP. Support our team, stop the Craig Nall nonsense and get on board. I don't hear anyone suggesting we should bench Willis for his gaff? Why is that? it resulted in a touchdown....if he does that every game....as you are assuming JP will do, should he get the hook? They are both number 1 picks....they deserve to be given the chances...uh chances....to succeed. You guys are amazing......watch the plays....watch it like it is a practice game.....don't look at this like it is exemplary of what a regular game would look like.

Despite the fumble...and maybe evidence of what I am saying, I now see that the reason Shaud is on so often is because he is a hell of a blocker. He is blowing the LB's up in there. Notice on the fumble, willis was in and didnt get in position to slow down the blitzer. Though i am not saying it was willis' fault.

I hate to admit this, but Theisman (oh gad!!!) actually made a point about another QB with the mechanics about throwing high. I believe he said it was a simple change to the position of the elbow during the throw. it might be a natural flaw in JP's game.

Hey Dave, i gotta say, in my opinion, that diving throw out of the end zone should have been caught and would have made the highlights everywhere. Sheldon just plain dropped a good pass there. From the back of the endzone camera you can see that JP is just waiting and waiting for Sheldon to get a little separation from the LB that was covering him. JP was right on the money on that play, he could see it would develop and waited for it to do so....almost at the expense of a safety mind you. But to be honest the throw was amazingly accurate for the circumstances it was thrown from. I was cursing sheldon on that one. Catch the damned ball.
