How Can Anyone Turn This Team Around?
billsfan714 replied to Storm Front's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree Bill Polian. With new ownership coming, give Buddy the boot and hire Polian as a consultant. -
Further proof that Buddy Nix was in over his head, thank god he's still a consultant for us.
-
His twitter handle should be changed to Glass Goodwin..

I dont know exactly where Hairston is with the return from illness but I just wonder what an OL of Henderson/Hairston at the tackles, Glenn and Urbik at G and Wood at C could do.

Florio says Marrone will be fired after this season
billsfan714 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems like Marrone and Hackett Jr have done less with more when compared to Chan. I dont see the OL being coached up(wasnt Marrone an OL), seems like the same old crap from last year, cant get the ball in the endzone, cant run in short yardage. No imagination when it comes to using Spiller, etc. As for Whaley he better be active after cuts to find this team a capable back-up QB. -
Available QBs ... Slim pickings ?

And anybody this side of Buddy NIx knew Kolb was made of glass and had his toughness questioned by opponents. He was a terrible signing. -

billsfan714 replied to biggerdaddynj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whaley saying this team likes competition everywhere is a joke when it comes to the QB position. Especially when your 2 and 3 guys were both undrafted FAs, one of which had 4 wins in 26 games and the other was traded for LB Chris White. And this aint your Daddys NFL, this is the pass happy NFL and these backups are just about/are the worst in the league. -
Whaley: 'Nobody has called Bills about Spiller'
billsfan714 replied to qblax16's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couldnt agree more.....Chan wasnt some savant, just a guy who does know somethings about offensive football. And getting Spiller in space is a no-brainer. But if Hackett Jr. cant do that then maybe he is an idiot. -
To have 2 young developing tackles both stricken with personal health problems............... out of the blue, is pretty Billsesque
-
3 reasons.....poor front office....bad coaching hires.....no QB.

Worst Game in Bills History

Those 2 for me as well. They summed up the new century Bills, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. -

Well on the bright side, he's driving down the price on his next long term contract. -
Kiko and Mario had Offseason Surgery
billsfan714 replied to BRAWNDO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good for all these surgeries. Nothing more frustrating than having some key player put off surgery hoping it will heal, then by August realizes rest didnt cure the problem and he gets the surgery and misses half the season. -
People on this board spend hours weekly here, do yourself a favor and spend 1 hour online and look into stop and frisk in NYC. Imagine if alcohol stayed in your system for a month or 2 instead of hours. Spend sometime researching how many people the land of free have in prison compared to other countries. See the relationship of the for profit prison corporate world paired with the prison gaurd unions. They both have the same goal, more prisoners means more profit, more union jobs. I say this as a union member, but I can see hypocrisy. Actually I dont buy the slippery slope arguement. It's not about your teenager legally buying heroin or cocaine, that's not going to happen. It's about coming to the rationalization that someone taking a few hits off a doobie in his home or around a camp fire, is not much different, and no menace to society, as the guy having a few beers at the legion, VFW or local bar.

Roster Improvement: 2014 vs. 2013
billsfan714 replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've been pretty down on the Bill's and rightly so for many years. That said, I am actually believing Whaley and the whole competition thing. RB's with Brown and Dixon as a 3-4 RB, thats pretty deep. The receivers, no doubt deeper with the addition of Watkins and Williams and the subtraction of Stevie. Even TE though they added no draft picks(which is still a need), but you have to believe a 2nd year Gragg and a 2nd chance Moeaki(sp?) gotta be better than the stiffs behind Chandler. The OL no doubt stronger. The DL should be fine, we ran plently of 4 man fronts last year and DE opposite Mario should get it done by committee. Stronger at LB. Corner's are way deep. Who exactly replaces Byrd should be interesting, maybe Duke has something to offer, as they say sometimes it's the 2nd year guys who make the jump to the next level. It's more that obvious Whaley, who preaches how competition make everyone better, has addressed competition everywhere but QB. It's plain as day that they want to give EJ all the confidence in the world because that's the one position that there's really no competition. and I can see their thinking. Confidence is important to a young QB. I get that, but to say that the Bills hopes of improving rest largely with EJ taking the next step can't be understated. -
Cleveland Browns' Draft Picks
billsfan714 replied to Storm Front's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im firmly in the camp that Johnny Football's game doesn't translate to the NFL. I'll go old school and say at his best he's Fran Tarkenton, and that crap wont cut in today's NFL. I think he will be a regular on the injury report. The only thing that Cleveland fans might have some hope in is that they have 2 1's next year to right this wrong to move up and get the right guy next year. -
That should be below someone's signature line.

Its gotta be OT with Pears near the end of his contract, with Hairston unsure even to play ever again, and bunch of absolute nobodys behind them it has to be a ROT.

What does this mean for Chris Hogan?
billsfan714 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im trying to look on the bright side...forget Hogan, a never will be, Im more excited that TJ will get to explore his true talent as a sandwich artist at Subway.
