So who is a big strong QB in the draft that cant throw, I imagine that will be Whaley's pick. -
12-28: Media Day - Anthony Lynn's Presser as HC

I thought he did fine. Wasnt throwing anyone under the bus. Didnt take the bait on the 4th and 3 call. Talked about accountability. Not playing Tyrod is the right decision and I dont care if Whaley made it alone, its the right move with injury and the money at risk. -
It is reaching sadist levels. I mean my god, we're 17 years into trying to reach a wildcard berth. I can't imagine being a younger Bills fan and the drought you have endured.

Kryk: Firing Rex Ryan not enough, it's time to clean house

I hear what you're saying I really do. But is been obvious these two are tied at the hip and always seem to have a built excuse that gets leaked somewhere. -

I think he lays a convincing case that Brandon and Whaley are part of the problem. One thing I think everyone can agree on is that constantly changing schemes is not the way to go. The Pegulas were new owners and shortly there after was a power struggle with Marrone and they had to find a new coach after only a few months as owners. You just cant tell me...as anyone who has interviewed people for positions...that the Pegula's didnt rely on Whaley and Brandon. That they just went their own way. The wine...the dont let him out the buidling......the you just know like a marriage. Especially Whaley, who came from the great Steelers organization should of saw that we we're hiring a guy who would change schemes and a defense that didnt need changed. It was his and Brandon's years of expertise that should of saw that coming and made the case as the leadership, of the football upper management. . . Terrry and Kim will realize it a few years, fool me once........ -
Marcell Dareus' thoughts on Rex Ryan's firing

Whoever Whaley hires I hope its clear that the HC needs a defensive coordinator who is going to run a 4-3. -
Polian on ESPN right now saying Taylors contract is untenable.
-
Do you trust the Pegulas to make the right decision?
billsfan714 replied to Santana's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pegulas have only been owners over 2 years but one thing I think they realize is someone from the outside needs to be brought in to oversee this organization and make changes where needed. I really hope Whaley is next to go. -
Tyrod Taylor - pick up the option
billsfan714 replied to re enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They shouldn't pay Tyrod $27 million -
Sounds like Whaley's prototype for a quarterback.

Pout. -
What you wrote if just flat out wrong. That draft was touted as being loaded at WR.

I think Whaley escapes too much blame. A GM trading up in the deepest WR draft in maybe history, that's a guy who doesnt know what hes doing. EJ and Jones seem the like same guy and similar to TT. in passing abilities I read the CBS scouting report yesterday on Jones and it was more of the same. Locks onto his first read, doesn't go through his progressions. bails on plays, immature. Doesnt give me a lot of confidence in what we have in him. Whaley doesnt seem to have a plan B if QB doesnt work out. Marrone saw it and they quickly signed Orton, Rex wanted TT to come in. Whaley places too much value on the size and not enough on the passing abilities when scouting QBs. Im ready to move on from Whaley. Without the QB it isnt going to happen and Whaley has shown me he's not the guy to find one.
-
If there's one group that I dont have complaints with its the OL. Were running as well as the Cowboys, the difference is Dak can spread the ball to the Zeke, Dez, Whitten, Williams, and Cole Beasley. With Tyrod its one read, and not a lot of good things if that isn't there.

A few thoughts about the Browns Game (BillFromNYC Tribute)
billsfan714 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TT has been in the league for what 6 years now. We are 31st in yards per game passing, ahead of the 49ers. When you think about the 49ers think of all that crap talent they have at WR and TE, and please dont confuse that with I am advocating that Kap is good. What Im saying is the 49ers have about the same receiving talent as Gailey had with the Bills. And we're barely better than that, right now. Totally agree with you, but its not apparent to a lot people on this board. Rex cant coach the defense up, the team takes too many penalties, folds when faced with adversity and for 2 years has no clock management. Whaley is overrated as a GM, Brandon is a nothing burger, the money guys(Overdorf) didnt protect Pegs money on Dareus's contract and gave too long a contract to Rex. All these guys, while they dont reach like a Matt Millen GM level of suckitude, they are mind numbing low mediocre at their jobs and we can do better. -

I'll argue that the 2 biggest decisions....finding a QB and in Whaleys own words about where he should be years later if it doesnt pan out(it didn't) and finding a WR in the deepest WR draft in a generation were the equivalent of striking out on three pitches. He can be a decent director of pro personnel, but a GM........ nope. -

I think he said teams with similar numbers were the winless Browns, last place Bears and Panthers. -

Totally agree and its been a Bills problem. Wasnt the first we gave up the following year after we drafted Losman, could of been used to draft Aaron Rodgers? The Steelers just let the draft come to them. Like I said its a Bills thing but Whaley seems to continue it, 2 firsts for Watkins, had to move up for Ragland, in the past they gave a pick for Bryce Brown. The Bills and trading draft picks during this run hasnt been a pretty picture. -

How come the Buffalo News cant see how good we are. I mean we've beaten 6 teams with losing records and the Jacoby Brissett led Pats. Teams like the Browns, Jags, 49ers, Rams.........
