Gimme the drive of OBJ any day. Something lacking is the 2000s Bills

In what bizarro world universe are the Bills real close to the playoff teams in the league, especially right now, Jan 8th. We have a 4th round project at QB, an ex-first rounder drafted 3 rounds too high who's a FA and our starter who we are not sure, but pretty sure is not the long term answer. We have like 24 FAs and not a ton of cap room or draft choices. Our top CB is gonna walk, we have junk at S, no depth at CB or WR. Yet somehow Doug friggin Whaley is gonna fix this if you just give him control of the football side. One thing I've realized is that there is really is no turd too tarnished, for some of you to polish.

So for the last damn year 10 years we could of had Aaron Rodgers and Clay Mathews as the face of this franchise and instead we got got JP and Maybin. The millennial Bills are choke artists, those 2 guys are play makers. You want to know what we've lacked since the SB years----play makers---clutch performers---smart football players.

Thats a fair question. I would say about my own 40. Game situation would also be a factor. I have momentum, Im at home. Im going to be aggresive in the playoffs. Whats speedster Brady on 4th and one sneaks, pretty good from my years of watching him, with Rodgers I think I could sneak that for 1st.

I like the decision not the play call.

With the number of our free agents I cant see a trade ever happening. We cant afford to have that much dead money on one player.

I dont buy that one iota. Ralph was never living and borrowing beyond his means. He was making money 2 ways on the Bills, yearly revenue and the increase in the value of the franchise every year, NFL revenue rising damn near year after every year, by larger percentages. Graph it and its a line chart going steadly up and to the right. He was no playboy throwing around money and making it rain. How people can twist logic and a billionaire was some mortgaged pauper is beyond ridiculous.

Dude I am no fan of Millen or Whaley.

One thing about Ralph and money I never quite grasped was that he needed money. He made a 25-50,000 dollar investment in 59 and it turned into a billion dollar plus asset. All he had to do each year was field a team and the value kept going up. Oh Buffalo is a rustbelt city, you people are lucky to have a NFL franchise. He could move. Well I'm in my 50s and have been following the NFL since the early 70s and Ive seen 2 teams leave the the 2nd largest city in America where they have great weather. Ralph could of broke even every year and his net worth would of still climbed steadily each year. Buffalo has been pretty good to the Wilson family and we haven't asked for a whole lot in return. Maybe there should be a Buffalo statue at Ralph's home.

I hear that but remember he came in a year after meathead GM with no front officce experience, Matt Millen was canned. Millen the man that drafted busts such as Charles Rodgers, Joey Harrington and Mike Williams.

Doesn't Tasker's line about Bills fans being 90% scar tissue really resonate? It goes perfectly with Marv's poem about laying down for a while and bleed. But to rise and fight again, I'm not slayed. I am as cynical about this team as anybody. It's years of abuse being surrounded by Steeler fans laughing at you for being a fan of this team. I cant pretend Goodwin is Beebe or Sammy is Reed going over the middle or Woods is Lofton or Macell is Bruce or Tyrod is Kelly.. We are currently what we are. That being said, we cynics need people like Promo. Don't ever believe it can't happen in Buffalo Yes Virginia, there was a time when we had the offensive MVP and defensive MVP and probably the greatest all around special teams player......all on the same team. We are the grunts of NFL fans. !7years, no playoffs, I can take it. To add a little Christian Laettner. I want to prove you wrong. I'll keep getting up and putting my early 90s AFC championship ornament on my Christmas tree every year, up top, in the front.
