Apparently the Giants are cutting Boogie
billsfan714 replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Boogie was a guy without a position, too small for DT and no rush skills for DE. -
Anyone else think 11 bucks for espn plus to watch Cards-Chargers is insane?
-
Amen. Get up on Espn is what percent Jets or Dallas talk? 30 other teams and these 2 suck the oxygen out of conversation. Rex is trying to get hired, and acts like he was a great coach, he wasn't. First take is unwatchable with Stephen A, a man who could say something with 10 words but chooses to do it with a hundred. When I hear "first of all". "number one", "number two" Im diving for the remote. Mcafee is another moron surrounded by a clique of other morons. Cowherd is blowhard, and on and on. I actually find GMFB one of the least objectionable.

10/14/24 Game 6 Bills at (NJ) Jets MNF Post Game thread
billsfan714 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Imho Jets got lucky with hail mary. Officiating was atrocious. Rapp and Ray Davis great games. Great to have Taron back. Great to win third road game against divisional team. On to the next one. -
Who is more at fault? Beane or McDermott?
billsfan714 replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall
Amen on the standard. How bad do we want to be the Shottenheimer Browns or Marvin Lewis Bengals. After a while it does get to be insanity and expecting a different result. -

billsfan714 replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall
i would say they both have their weaknesses. With McD you have questions about his game management and can he out coach a good team in the playoffs and especially when its gets to the final 8 teams. With Beane he's been kind of loose trading away picks and some of his signings can be questioned. To give Von that money, to a 32 year old speed rusher? Extend Knox then go into next draft and take a TE in the first? Even the Diggs trade, multiple picks for Diggs plus the money, or we could have kept our first and those extra picks and had Justin Jefferson on a rookie contract. 60 million in dead money this year, i mean thats a couple of stud players right there. Neither is without valid criticism. -
Do we trust McBeane in next years draft.
billsfan714 replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Isnt this McDs 8th year....his shelf life is getting closer imho. In 2 more he'll have 10 in. How many coaches do you know that have been with the same team 10 years and no championship game appearances? And when i say championship Im talking superbowl. Hell i bet even 8 is rare. -
I would actually be very surprised if they didn't calll Hyde this week.

When he gets to Superbowls, then he will be close to Polian, until then, he's not. -

Dawkins also was drafted before Beane was here. -
Dawson Knox: 3 receptions in 5 games. $8.5M salary.

But he is on pace for almost a hundred yards for the season.🤪 -

I believe between team doctors and trainers, the coach has good idea on the injury. No I don't believe it for a second.

Is sitting down at football games normal?
billsfan714 replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now that Im in my 60s would prefer to sit and my wife is also only 5'3 so its tough on her when people stand. Same if you take a kid. Just seems like how a stadium is designed, if everyone sits, everyone can see. Personally, I don't think somebody in front of a couple of kids would care if they couldn't see while they stand the whole game. I do think its a newer generation thing, like when you go to a concert and everyone has their phone up, watching the concert through their phone---at a live concert, kind of insane in my book. You pay for a seat, use it. Maybe they should design some stadiums with sections with just rows and no seats for the people who want to stand for 3 hours. -
Joe Marino: 1/4 of Bills 2024 salary cap is dead cap!
billsfan714 replied to JaCrispy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think after the trapper hat photo Beane got a little full of himself and overspent and wasted some picks. Im a firm believer this team needs to get younger and cheaper. Need more picks on rookie contracts. It does seem Beane recognizes it and is accruing more picks. Its a shame we have that much in dead money. -
Now that the 53 is set, predict the Bills win total

I was pricing tickets for the Stones in Cleveland, yeah Im a geezer and I dont go to a lot of concerts, but was astonished that the fees on 2 tickets were almost the cost of one of the tickets. I paid for a parking pass and it had fees on it. Just blew my mind.

Lenny Bruce would get arrested in the 1960s for language. Some people being offended by certain comedy is over 50 years old. it's nothing new. I was in high school in the late 70s, Carlin got arrested for the 7 words you can't say on television routine. Now people don't get arrested anymore, but like i said some people being offended is nothing new at all. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Some people were upset at Cheech and Chong for drug references in the 70's. Glad I came up with guys like that and the GOAT--Richard Pryor. Watch live in concert, still relevant today, came out in 1979. The language never bothered me, funny is funny.

After reading your posts, one question....have you ever seen a roast before? Its what they do, they go after other people on the stage as well as the subject of the roast. They get good jokes in but also say nice things about the person being roasted. It's also for adults so there will be some swearing. If that's not for you, that's fine, but maybe shouldn't opine on it.
