How the F did we lose to Cleveland???
billsfan714 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ask Roscoe. -
Yeah Bellichick is a supposed genius, but this may be the worst call in the history of football. Goinng for a first down on your own 28 with the lead on the road, 4th down, well its moronic. How much time did the colt score with? Imagine if they had to go 70 yards instead of 29. This was the most arrogant call Ive EVER seen. Bellicheat lost this game, not his team. The one break the Colt needed, Bill served up on a silver platter.

What's Our FO's Dumbest Move of the 2000's
billsfan714 replied to BB Fan 4 LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lets put the worst of all together. The bills used/traded: 5-First round picks (Including the 4th and 8th overall selections) 2-Second round picks 2-Third round picks 1-Fourth rounder 1-Fifth rounder And in return got Mike Williams, John McCargo, Rob Johnson, JP Losman, Drew Bledsoe, Whitner and Trentative. Thats not even counting drafting McGahee. Thats the kind of drafting that will set your franchise back a decade. I agree with frustration about not trading down. For the most part good teams trade down. Good teams accumulate picks. Good teams trade players for picks before losing them in free agency. You want to know whats scary? In the next 2 drafts the Patriots have 3 numbers 1's including Oaklands in 2011 and 4 number 2s(including Tennessee's and Jacksonvilles 2nds in 2010, which are going go to be high 2nd rounders. -

I'll go with trading 3 number 1s, a 2, 3, 4, and 5th round choices for Rob Johnson, Bledsoe, Losman and Trentative. -
Horrible Drafts-why our FO is to blame for suckitude..
billsfan714 replied to Boatdrinks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2005-Roscoe Parrish in the 2nd, the midget receiver, a few picks later, Vincent Jackson 6'5 Wr who had a ton of TDS in college and had a great combine. Another Donohoe gem. -
Dick Jauron's Popwarner Offense
billsfan714 replied to barbwire's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The offense has to be priority 1 in the offseason. QB and two quality OL is a must. I wonder how many plays our defense is on the field because this team is the master of the 3 and out. This offense not only contributes to the woefull points production, but also put so much pressure on this defense. God if we could improve this offense you would get the defense off the field for at least 15 plays a game. -
What did Larry Johnson do that was so wrong
billsfan714 replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The gay slurs are just a piece of the suspension. Insulting your boss(head coach), in the media, is not a smart thing to do. I dont think too may bosses would be happy if you said they werent qualified to do their job. I doubt a Belichick or Parcells would tolerate this crap. This is from epsn: One tweet read: "My father got more creditentials than most of these pro coaches." That was followed by: "My father played for the coach from "rememeber the titans". Our coach played golf. My father played for redskins briefley. Our coach. Nuthn." Haley, hired earlier this year to replace the fired Herm Edwards, did not play high school or college football and attended college on a golf scholarship. He did not enter coaching until he was in his 20s. He was hired as Kansas City's head coach after serving as offensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals in their Super Bowl run last year. Add into the mix Johnson recent history, again from ESPN: A two-time Pro Bowler, Johnson was benched for three games by Edwards last year for an unspecified violation of team rules. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended him for the fourth game for violating the league's player conduct policy in connection with incidents involving two women in bars. Johnson then was sentenced to two years' probation after pleading guilty to two counts of disturbing the peace. One woman accused him of throwing a drink on her and another said he had pushed her head at a Kansas City night spot. Larry Johnson is a malcontent with a poor history, add into that his anemic production and bloated contract, yeah if I was the Chiefs I would be looking to get rid of this cancer. -
Donte's last year of this contract is next year, I would have no problem if we dont resign him or even cut him. Whitner is journeyman NFL safety, nothing spectacular, no pro bowls from this top ten safety pick, not a playmaker other than the deflected passs this year. Ill take the other 2 SS and save the millions and spend it elsewhere.

If your defense is dead last against the run in the NFL your not a good defense.

Fitz's record was 4-7-1 last year.

Totally agree. I dont hate Fitz, i just know he's a journeyman type backup. -

I agree with ya. Ralph should know you have to spend money on a good coach who bring other good coaches and GM. You can race with a Ferrari but if your grandmother is driving I doubt you win a race. -

Yeah that 300k is mind boggling considering the bengals are 9.5 MILLION under the cap. www.askthecommish.com/salarycap/numbers.asp -

billsfan714 replied to fansince61's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow 300k on a salary cap of over 127 million. What team would want to spend 300k more to have a better backup, especially after your starter was hurt the year before. I see your point, theres no way they could of found that kind of coin to sign him. LMAO -
Where to start. Lee Evans--- 6 games 227 receiving yds 2 TD's. Averaging a whopping 37.8 yards per game. Projected 2009 season stats 604 yds and 5.23 touchdowns. Owens---6 games 215 receiving yds and 1 TD. Averaging a blistering 35.8 yards per game. Projected 2009 season stats 573 yards 2.65 touchdowns How many millions are we paying for the production??? Bills QBs---1017 passing yards and 7 TDs. Averaging 169.5 yards per game. Projected 2009 season stats 2712 yards 18.5 TD Our runningbacks are on pace for ZERO TDs, yes Jackson and Lynch do not have a rushing TD, in fact no Buffalo PLAYER has scored a rushing TD in SIX GAMES. Our entire rushing offense, including everyone on the team, is on pace for a total of 1947 yards and a mind boggling ZERO TDs. Put the rushing and receiving together and our TEAM is on pace for 18.5 TD's in the 2009 season It would be sad if it wasnt so funny.

Amen, somehow Cincy felt better with JT O'Sullivan and Jordan Palmer as backups. And made no effort to resign Fitzpatrick. -
I totally forgot about Fitzpatrick's
billsfan714 replied to murra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I with ya. Thats an average of 131 yds a game and 2/3 of a touchdown per game average in his "finish strong" win steak. Feel the Fitzpatrick fever. -
Fitz's record was 4-7-1 last year.
billsfan714 replied to fansince61's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please make more fun of PA accents cause Im with ya since I was born and raised in Buffalo NY. But back to Fitzpatrick, dude hes AVP or Kelly Holcomb, nothing to get excited about. Check Ochocinco's career worst stats with Fitzpatrick at the helm. -

As someone who lives in Steeler country, we always get the AFC north division on TV and I can say with no hesitation that Fitzpatrick is a big nothing burger. Does not have a big arm, career backup at best. Did not put up good numbers despite a great Bengal receiver corp. -
Benching the most exciting player
billsfan714 replied to StamerforPrez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its just nice knowing we took Roscoe a couple of picks ahead of Vincent Jackson, more awesome Bills scouting and drafting. -
Actually no, I dont think Leodis was told, hey watch out, their going to try to stand you up and strip the ball. As soon as someone gets near you get down. I think this because he didnt do any of those and was returning kicks the next week.

billsfan714 replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im not writing Maybin off. The leap from college DE to pro DE is big. He is young and does have the frame 6'4 to get bigger and stronger. Maybe he'll be the reverse Bruce Smith(who didnt have a great rookie season), while Bruce had to get lose weight, Maybing needs to put on some to be a NFL end. -
Unfortunately yes. Always remember a playoff game against the Raiders, during the superbowl years. Tim Brown caught a deep pass and was running for yards when Kelso was just coming into the picture, had to be 40 yars past the line of scrimmage. Never seen a safety play that deep. Definetly one of the weaker links on the SB years defense.

Yeah Bobby doesnt need to make sure to tell Mckelvin not to get stood with just over 2 minutes to go, doesnt need to tell him to get on the ground or when to not even run it out with an onsides kick return team on the field. Doesnt need to do anything. Just let them play. Pfffffffft. Thats exactly what a coach is supposed to do during the game. Bobby April has benefited from having a great punter and the Bills drafting some pretty good returners. As a coach i dont think he deserves any genius label. Its little things that can win and lose games, and as Jeff Wright(the poster above) said about being 4-2. As bad as this team has looked at times, it is amazing how close we were to being 4-2 if it wasnt for 2 absolute boneheaded special teams plays.
