  1. No.

Did Tedford coach all of these guys, why yes he did. Try the google boys, its amazing what you'll learn. From his wiki page:

Tedford coached each of the following first round NFL draft picks at the quarterback position:

    Fresno State

Trent Dilfer 6th overall 1994, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

David Carr 1st overall 2002, Houston Texans

    Oregon

Akili Smith 3rd overall 1999, Cincinnati Bengals

Joey Harrington 3rd overall 2002, Detroit Lions

    California

Kyle Boller 19th overall 2003, Baltimore Ravens

Aaron Rodgers 24th overall 2005, Green Bay Packers

  2. Here is the order as of now:

    1. Carolina (2-14)

    2. Denver (4-12)

    3. Buffalo (4-12)

    4. Cincinnati (4-12)

    5. Arizona (5-11)

    6. Cleveland (5-11)

    7. San Francisco (6-10)

    8. Tennessee (6-10)

    9. Dallas (6-10)

    10. Washington (6-10)

    11. Houston (6-10)

    12. Minnesota (6-10)

    13. Detroit (6-10)

    14. St. Louis (7-9)

    15. Miami (7-9)

    16. Jacksonville (8-8)

    17. New England (from Oakland 8-8)

    18. San Diego (9-7)

    19. New York Giants (10-6)

    20. Tampa Bay (10-6)

Carolina is expected to take Luck, but there have been reports that Panthers owner Jerry Richardson wants to stick with Clausen. Denver traded for Tebow last year. If by some chance Luck fell to #3, you have at least 4 Top 10 teams I would consider desperate for a QB. Even if Newton or Mallett was at #3 could we find a partner willing to offer a treasure trove of picks?

    PTR

I was thinking the same thing. Champ Bailey is expected to leave, creating a huge hole at corner for Broncos, Houston needs a corner bad. With the QBs, its going to be which teams like which QBs, but theres plenty of teams desperate for a QB like the Cards, Skins, I think the Jags have had enough of Garrard, the Vikes, Bengals maybe thinking past Palmer, do the 49ers want another year of the Smiths, the Dolphins can't like what they see in Henne. I think in this years draft there are plenty of dancing partners for a trade down.

  3. What part of getting trampled for 276 yards by a second string line do you not understand? What part of a record season for allowing 200-yard rushing games against us don't you get? How about giving up 30-plus points every g'damn week? Defense wins championships and we are pathetic. Screw the QB whining and get some d'damn defensive players in here!

Totally agree. Wouldn't stopping the opposing teams offense occasionaly give our offense more opportunities, thus moving them up in stats? The Steelers are a perennial a playoff team because they take away your running game and make you one dimensional. Your never going to be good giving up 200 yards rushing and 34 points a game 8 times.

  4. Ten years of No.1 picks, 12 total 1's, a lot of them in the top half of the draft has resulted in JP Losman, McCargo, Maybin, McKelvin, Lynch, Spiller, McGahee, Whitner, Evans, Mike Williams, Nate Clements, and Eric Wood. Anybody care to add up the probowls in that group? You can't draft this bad and turn a team around.

Heres are first round and probowls

    2001 Nate Clements---one probowl 2004

    2002 Mike Williams--Zero, epic bust

2003 Willis McGahee--zero as a Bill, one as alternate with Ravens

    2004 Lee Evans--zero probowls

    JP Losman--zero probowls bust

2005 No number 1 thanks to trading up for Losman

    2006 Donte Whitner--zero probowls

2006 John McCargo--zero probowls epic bust

    2007 Marshawn Lynch--one probowl

    2008 Leodis McKelvin--zero probowls

2009 Aaron MAybin--zero probowls on his way to becoming another epic bust

    Eric Wood--zero probowls

    2010 CJ Spiller--zero probowls

So in summary 12 number 1 picks and 2 pro bowls as a Bill. In fact only 3 current starters, 4 if you count McKelvin.

  5. Brohm put up huge numbers in Petrino's QB friendly system. Mallett has put up huge numbers in Petrino's QB friendly system. See where I'm going with this?

Didnt Aaron Rodgers fall, being a product of Jeff Tedfords system and history of failed QBs such as Dilfer, Akili Smith, Harrington, David Carr and Kyle Boller? See where Im going with this.

  6. Well one part of the passing game we continue to ignore is TE, we have to have the worst collection of turds at TE in the entire NFL. As much as we need to some OL help we need a qaulity starting TE not our usual 4th round turd, the newest of which is Shawn Nelson. Gailey should have his head examined for taking Troup over the top rated TE in the draft who also happened to be a local boy, Gronkowski.

  7. 8 out of the 12 QBs playing in the playoffs were first round draft picks. almost every super bowl is won by a first round draft QB (aside from brady).

so yea when three out of 4 QBs in the playoffs are #1 QBs i think its safe to say thats important. 2 of the non first round QBs, hasselbeck and cassel play in awful divisions and will likely lose their first game leaving 7 out of the remaining 8 QBs as 1st round picks.

Meanwhile, half the teams with a top 10 defense are sitting at home. Its a QB driven league and Fitz isnt the answer.

Interesting, half the teams with a top 10 offense are sitting home too.

  8. The verdict is still out on Spiller, Mckelvin is OK, but i think Wood is a good player, and will only improve, and Evans is a decent receiver. Everyone else is garbage.

I like Wood too, especially coming back from the injury. I dont think McKelvin has developed as hoped and has made some horrendous plays, Evans is overrated and overpayed. Spiller didnt produce for the millions he made. I wonder what the total payroll in those 12 picks is and number of probowls. Im too tired now to research it, but it would be a scary cap number for a few(2 or 3?) probowls, and a big goose egg for perennial probowlers. Sometimes I wonder why I look foward to the Bills draft.

  9. 10. Or, maybe "Mauron" saw things that the average fan didn't

Ahhhhhh....nope.......really think the fans were right about Stevie. When is the last Bills receiver to go over a 1,000 yds with 10 TDs in a season which SJ will most likely do baring injury? I think he's having a great year. He had a bad game, it happens, but his season thus far has been pretty stellar.
