  1. If Goff can put up his stats, Kelly would do well in todays rules.   Kellys arm strength vastly superior to Goff.  Kelly didnt play in era of cant hit QB in the head, cant land with your weight on the QB, can ground ball out of the tackle box, cant go low on QB.   Kelly would do really well today.  When I look at a guy like Goff, I think he wouldn't of lasted 5 years in the 70s or 80s or 90s.

  2. I could see about the whole draft going to D.   Beane has to sign Shakir and Rousseau long term.   If he can resign Cooper and Hollins to friendly contracts that would be great.   Von is as good as gone.   Jones doesnt have much left in the tank.   Douglas is getting old for a corner.  AJE will be on his last year next year.   I could see the first 4-5 picks being,  DE DT CB S and possibly another S for depth.

There's zero Bills fans who don't want to win a super bowl lol

Fans on internet boards complaining about the best coach in team we've had here in 20 years is pathetic ... Let alone the coach who changed the culture at one Bills drive... We were inept in the laughing stock for close to 20 years and McDermott changed the culture

I'm sorry but it is ...

Sean McDermott is better than a lot of coaches who have one super bowls and the game on Sunday doesn't mean we can't

    It's overreaction

Again, being a better coach than Mike Mularkey, DickJauron, Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone and Rex Ryan, not a high bar, and these coaches never had a franchise QB.  The best QB in those years was probably a year of Bledsoe.

I think Colin Cowherd made a good analogy.   Mark Jackson, turned the Golden State Warriors into a 50 win team and the playoffs after years of failure.  It took Steve Kerr to take them to another level.   The Warriors' front office said the team was better than when Jackson arrived but felt a different coach was needed to win an NBA championship, and they were right.

Honestly Bill's fans are the most emotional people I've ever been around

This place after a loss is sad and unbearable

Do you guys remember how bad it was in 2008-13

Five straight last place AFC East finishes

Do you remember winning 4 conference championships and going to 4 superbowls.

I find the people just happy to make the playoffs and puffing their chest out for winning the post Brady/inept Jets/mediocre Dolphins Division championship insufferable.    The standards/goals are higher now.

The 1994 49ers lost 44-10 to the eagles

The 2020 bucs lost 38-3 to a team

The 21 rams lost 3 games in a row and lost in some blow outs....

The 85 frickin bears got carved up and blown out

There are numerous examples of this over and over times 100

    They're fine

The goal right now is to stay healthy and get the 1 seed or get a defacto bye week 18 where the pats game doesn't matter

Get a grip.  The 1985 Bears lost by 14 to Miami in a game in which Steve Fuller started at QB, hardly blown out.   The other teams have rings, when McClappy has one I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, until then, I've seen how this movie ends.

I think i stopped watching all of these shows and pregame shows about 7-8 years ago.

These people just wanna talk about storylines. You can tell they dont watch the games and just spew out a generic breakdown of these games.

It was tough to stomach.....and I can barely stomach the games broadcaster nowadays.

Amen.   Get up on Espn is what percent Jets or Dallas talk?   30 other teams and these 2 suck the oxygen out of conversation.   Rex is trying to get hired, and acts like he was a great coach, he wasn't.    First take is unwatchable with Stephen A, a man who could say something with 10 words but chooses to do it with a hundred.  When I hear "first of all". "number one", "number two" Im diving for the remote.    Mcafee is another moron surrounded by a clique of other morons.  Cowherd is blowhard, and on and on.  I actually find GMFB one of the least objectionable.

Nobody complaining cares that we are in first place in our division.  Winning the division is no longer the standard.  Winning the SB is the only goal this organization should have.  And people who are complaining are looking at the big picture and seeing the same mistakes being made at critical points of games.

There's 8 years of established poor game / time management and to a lesser degree questionable roster management (ignoring WR in draft for too long, throwing huge money at Von, etc etc).  We have a unicorn at QB that we have never - and will never see again after he leaves - and it's a terrifying thought that these clowns may never even make it to 1 SB much less winning one.

Based on McDermott's past history and his inability to learn from prior mistakes, does anyone have faith that if we do get to a SB and get in a tight game that his decisions at that point will put this team in a good spot to win?  I sure don't.

Amen on the standard.    How bad do we want to be the Shottenheimer Browns or Marvin Lewis Bengals.    After a while it does get to be insanity and expecting a different result.

  8. i would say they both have their weaknesses.  With McD you have questions about his game management and can he out coach a good team in the playoffs and especially when its gets to the final 8 teams.   With Beane he's been kind of loose trading away picks and some of his signings can be questioned.  To give Von that money, to a 32 year old speed rusher?  Extend Knox then go into next draft and take a TE in the first?   Even the Diggs trade, multiple picks for Diggs plus the money, or we could have kept our first and those extra picks and had Justin Jefferson on a rookie contract.  60 million in dead money this year, i mean thats a couple of stud players right there.  Neither is without valid criticism.

  9. Isnt this McDs 8th year....his shelf life is getting closer imho.   In 2 more he'll have 10 in.   How many coaches do you know that have been with the same  team 10 years and no championship game appearances?   And when i say championship Im talking superbowl.   Hell i bet even 8 is rare.

    1.  O line has got to play better than they did today.  Two weeks in a row they got shoved around.

    2.  Coordinators have to come out better in the first half than they have the last two games.  Brady especially has to look at his schemes to get guys open, and having an O line play better would help a lot.

    3.  People wanted challenges but we have the retired ex-ref in the booth.  I suspect we didn’t challenge because he advised they’d be unsuccessful.

    4.  Josh seemed to be pushing today.  Missed some throws that should have been made but needs more help from his O line especially.

    5.  Might be time to put in a call to Micah.

    6.  The 3 downs at the end?  Can argue it many ways.  If you run and get stuffed they use their TOs and get the ball with time for a play, quick spike and a kick.  If you pass and don’t complete the same thing.  Only thing that would definitively changed things was to get a first down.

6a).  Lose to a 59 yard FG you tip your hat to the kicker.

    7.  How Josh was able to clear protocol and come right back in is a mystery.  No way a shot like he took when his head slammed into the turf was harmless.

    8.  They’re 3-2, one more away game then the schedule eases.  Still leading the division.

I would actually be very surprised if they didn't calll Hyde this week.

Got me there. But Cook, Kincaid, Bernard, Dawkins, Benford, Rousuue (sp?) Moss, Phillips, Edmund, T. Johnson, Levi. Come on man. He’s close to Polian. Polian didn’t have to deal with a salary cap for most of his time. But Beane is the real deal.

When he gets to Superbowls, then he will be close to Polian, until then, he's not.

Dawkins also was drafted before Beane was here.
