  1. Teams are best off waiting for cuts.
  2. This is one of the funny things I have ready in a long long time period. Two of the funny things in the past century year's. And I ready a LOTs'
  3. If Pettine can get sacks out of Maybin, Imagine what he can do with Hughes.
  4. Yeah because Kelsay, Merriman, Jones and Nelson were REALLY big helps! And it's not like Searcy was taking over the majority of the SS snaps or that he's younger and probably more physically talented than Wilson. No, it's not like any of that stuff is true.
  5. Why does the title of the thread imply the trade has already happened? Why do people do that?
  6. Add me to that list. I don't want to say what you are doing is wrong but I will say this. You are missing out. You are missing out on how fun it is to be optimisitic. It's genuinely a good feeling to hope and expect the best. It's less maddening and less upsetting. It's just all around less depressing. And if you were less grumpy over the Bills, you would be more happier too.
  7. I'll just throw my two cents in the mix as if I had a vote and it mattered. I vote NO roof. I vote no Niagara Falls stadium. I vote same location 1st, Beth Steel 2nd and downtown 3rd and final option.
  8. Matter of fact yes. Just last year when Fitzpatrick was the QB. How about Losman or Edwads? Do you remember those years?
  9. Really? I'd have to emphatically disagree. How many times were we chiming for us to replace Fitz with Jackson last year? I'd have to say right now a rookie qb may not be better but it wouldn't be much worse. So yeah you might have got me there. If we added DHB or heck even Hixon in Free Agency, we've already upgraded over DONALD JONES. Nelson was beyond avg and another year under Grahams belt should do him wonders IMO. Searcy was starting to take over last years SS spot as it was, so I believe it's not a stretch to say that he could even upgrade it. So what positions were you saying are getting downgraded?
  10. Players who have departed vs replaced. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick - Rookie/Jackson Wide receiver Donald Jones (New England Patriots) - Rookie/FA/Graham Wide receiver David Nelson - Rookie/FA/Graham Guard Andy Levitre (Tennessee Titans) - Rookie/FA in house? (Marrone does have a rep for developing lineman) Guard Chad Rinehart (San Diego Chargers) Defensive end Chris Kelsay (retired) - Did not really have a place in the Amoeba hybrid defense. Probably wouldn't have started. Defensive end Shawne Merriman (retired) - Williams/Anderson/Lawson Linebacker Nick Barnett - Bradham/Lawson Cornerback Terrence McGee - Brooks/Rogers Safety George Wilson (Tennessee Titans) - Searcy Is there anybody that would NOT be okay with this? I think it's better already if you ask me. The only downgrade I can see happening is possibly at OG and SS. But I think they will both be capably filled just fine.
  11. No doubt. That's a good article, I agree with everything. But if Geno is there in the first I wouldn't pass on him and if Matt Barkley is there in the second I wouldn't pass on him.
  12. Reddog, who said he wants to come here?
  13. Young led the longhorns to a 11-0 record and won the National Championship. His completion percentage was 65%. Rating 163.9. Rushed for over 2k yards and 26 td's in last 2 seasons. Geno had a 7-6 record against not as hard competition. Had a 71% completion percentage. 163.9 rating.
  14. Who was the better prospect coming out. Geno Smith or... Vince Young?
  15. A mix between Aldon Smith and Von Miller specifically speaking of now days LBers.
  16. Patterson and Bray are the most likely ones to be there at their respective postitions and quite honestly it's the one I would most likely have as well.
  17. I've read everyones opinions and mine is that it's just stupid. We HAVE lineman. We DO NOT HAVE WR's and LB's!!! You want to talk about deep position? Rushing lineman in a 3-4 or hand down in a 4-3 is even DEEPER than Oline. Give me a break. You're also much more likely to find a lineman later in the draft to fill the shoes of Levitre than you are a stud pass rusher or WR. Plain dumb considering the LACK of talent we have at WR, PassRush. I'd rather have a CB and TE picked over a O-Lineman.
  18. I like it. No one can sit here and say this guy is going to be anything better than average. He essentially is a tight end in a receivers body. Big yes. Good hands... Yes. But many receivers in the world are like this.
  19. Interesting turn of events for Modkins. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/02/11/lions-think-jahvid-best-could-play-a-c-j-spiller-role-if-he-could-play/
  20. I hate comments like this. As if upgrading other positions aren't important too.
  21. Glenn > Bell Pears > Bell Hairston > Bell Young > Bell Sanders has more potential. JMO..
  22. I have mixed feelings. I was kind of hoping for something quite different instead of something very similar. It's on par with the Lion update but slightly more feminine.
  23. I don't get what the big deal is. Folks from Buffalo like to have a good time and live a little bit. Even if it seems "immature" for an adult. I don't think any of his antics should make news headlines because it's "unprofessional" in todays world. Give me a break and find something better to talk about. Patty Kane is the same way. I love it.
  24. The bottom line as to why Nix avoided to draft a QB in the last three years is two reasons. 1) Nix wanted to build the team first to insert any QB in to the team with which would give him the most opportunity for success. 2) He made a foolhardy decision to put too many eggs in to one basket with Fitz. Nix wanted to see if he had what it takes on a better team. But either way Chan and Fitz were not the right recipe. There is no guarantee in the NFL. If Williams was a shut down coener right now the majority would be very pleased instead of being overly critical and insensitive.
