  1. There was a lot around this topic in the press conference today. If you tried to follow it, he kind of went all over the place with some unintelligible stat line he didn’t explain about 31% and 29%, then dove into ‘no crisis, same as it’s always been this time of year’ schtick, then blamed the last administration for the problem he said was something that always been happening. He Acknowledged they are keeping the press out until they’ve implemented their plan, which basically threw his Mayorkas under the bus for blaming pandemic.
  2. It was published in the Amherst Bee I think, the guy I recall must have been 20 or so years in.
  3. Oh and I knew that’s how the poll would turn out, because being a good teacher is a very tough job. And most people know it.
  4. I basically allowed what should have been a conversation which is why I come here to turn into everything I despise about political parties. Mea culpa...
  5. Seem like Beanes favorite way to hit the draft is with some kind of solution for each hole so they have the flexibility to really get a BPA.
  6. I don’t care what side anyone take in the politics of this issue, but it’s a fact the same media that was running around calling the border ‘in crisis’ and a ‘humanitarian disaster’ for the past few years are barely acknowledging it now. Just like once that same media can no longer spin it out of existence they’ll revise the narrative to make today’s problem all last guys fault... 🤷‍♂️
  7. No, but I was an internet tough guy to you... and shouldn’t have been. It was a poor choice.
  8. I’d be a lot happier if the two party system fraud of a government would limit everyone out of office then ban political parties. Force people to have to think on their own
  9. Who is the ‘them’ that cannot figure out how to register or get an ID? Democrats want more voting from democrats. as far as the history of the party... https://townhall.com/columnists/kevingrieve/2021/02/07/democrats-the-party-of-systemic-racism-n2584289 Author is completely in the tank for Rs, but this point seems factual: “Democrats have been solely responsible for defending slavery, starting the Civil War, opposing reconstruction, lynching blacks, founding the Ku Klux Klan, Jim Crow laws and segregation, poll taxes and literacy tests. The Party voted against the 13th amendment (end slavery), 14th amendment (black citizenship), and 15th amendment (black right to vote), filibustered the 1960 Civil Rights Act (elimination of poll taxes), and tried to filibusterthe 1964 Civil Rights Act for 60 days, the longest filibuster in Senate history.”
  10. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/gun-deaths-by-country Wrap you mind around the US being worse in gun death rate than Mexico.
  11. Dollars per capita work? https://www.foxbusiness.com/features/states-that-spend-the-most-on-welfare
  12. No really not. I explained above. I used the this poll to help rationalize acceptance of stimulus money being paid out as bonuses. Not trying to band anything. I was curious what the community thought. And the conclusion is overwhelming and indisputable. Poll to me validates it’s appropriate, so I need to accept it is too. As for that thread, yeah, got sucked in. Mea culpa. I won’t be engaging that one again.
  13. Depends. If you’re looking at total cost, the absolute count matters right? Rate has its own merit too. legalizing and taxing dope is actually a great thing. I wish the government did more consumption tax stuff and targeted recreation and especially things some people may consider bad habits. Work is a good habit. Taxing that is BS. I’m surprised no one is calling the idea racist yet since pot possession laws were called that, but we will see. what is more indicative of the drain per state, total dollars of welfare consumed by the state, or per capita? In my view the states with the most people on welfare cost the most money to support. its irrelevant what color state it’s respective flock of sheep make it. Texas and Florida are the second and third biggest drain.
  14. 4th highest number of welfare recipients, trying to knock California out of the one seed.
  15. That’s How I found it, it was actually published in a newspaper I think. I might be misremembering, Williamsville south positive it was in the 70’s. The athletic director was six figures.
  16. oh the horror, think people whose are just endless, during a the quarter of the year called summer too. issue with teaching among the many I know, is little differentiation or meritocracy in compensation structure so it’s disenfranchising. My gym teacher and soccer coach in 1992 made $78k, in Buffalo suburbs. that pretty sweet for keeping the dodgeballs inflated and occasionally blowing a whistle.
  17. Democrats are white supremacists, that is why. They believe they need to social engineer opportunity for minorities because they believe they aren’t as good as them. Most inherently racist group of people on the planet. Look back in history and they are behind every racist deplorable act in our countries history.
  18. The fact North Korea exists in this day and age is somewhat remarkable.
  19. That would’ve been a better poll question. My real curiosity is are people generally ok with covid relief going to teachers bonuses because they are underpaid anyway. since the poll is overwhelmingly yes, I suspect that people are ok with it, so therefore I need to be to.
  20. they are in other threads praising the heavens for their government checks and talking about how taxes need to be raised on other people. $392.69 per person per night... so for a family of four, that’s about $1200/night. all checks out. Thanks government for being awesome
  21. don’t refer to me please, you’ve categorized me as an idiot parent and insulted my children’s intelligence. ahhh altruistic educators....
