What is better, no guns, or more guns?
Over 29 years of fanhood replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Based on the the current state of affairs I’ve officially moved from no need to ever even consider purchasing weapons to, strongly considering A different direction. democrats made that happen for me. -
Two fine examples of just as vile as the tumperectionists. No standards just all hypocrisy all the time.

I have a family. I wouldn’t even consider it in this day and age. 13 year olds are running around with guns and stealing cars. Mentally unstable people legally obtaining AR15s. And the mass media machine has branded them all as racists with high level politicians on both sides egging on their mobs respective mobs to attack them. A small number of acts of negligence, brutality or flat out dirty cop murder is getting associated with all that are in the profession. Crime is on the rise. Etc etc

I’ve come to the conclusion that we should simply split the country up into policed and un policed zones. The constituents can vote to have police in their area, district or not etc. if the un policed zones are the place you want to be, move there or stay there. If you want to live in a policed zone, move there or stay there. Apply taxation to residents and businesses within the zone accordingly. The social contract can be it you cross zones it is at your own risk. Since racism apparently is systemically intrinsic to policing for thousands of years and forever more, let the constituents directly vote on the limits of policing power and and even types of ethnic prerequisites of the officers, if you live in opted in areas. Since the for some, the issue is systemic among police, the un policed areas should thrive for them and they should enjoy great new freedom. Just need to have some extradition policies if people from un-policed area engage in crime in policed areas. and likewise the people actually appreciate police and respect and comply with them when needed do not resist arrest, they should be fine as well. if you feel like the authorities would benefit from a certain demographic representation, say a Latino police chief, vote for that. Since Poeple wish to make everything about race, go for it. Do it. See if that fixes anything.

I think it’s time for number 5. Give the people what they want.

The grandstanding going on right now is absurd. Pelosi thanking Floyd for his sacrifice? What a piece of garbage she is. GF wasn’t some martyr or sacrificial lamb. He was murdered. this isn’t some seismic moral inflection point in the fabric of our nation. A dirty cop murdered a guy in custody ( also criminal) and is appropriately going to jail for the rest of his life. I sure wish scumbag politicians would own the problem of figuring out how not to give prospective murderers a badge and gun.

Biden's follies

Why does this matter? -
I believe this 1000%

It is contrived for sure, new content is hard to come by. I guess I’m not sure of his relevance outside of his presumably narrow conservative following, but it’s interesting to hear some of the less obvious media bias he finds. Sometimes it’s a good point. Everybody lies and spins in that world. But I will credit him for headlining his bias as influencing all his takes, instead of pretending to be neutral.

It’s love for the power and the microphone... it’s intrinsically motivated

I’ve been listening to him a bit more since he was brought up here. I have the same view. His primary objection is media reporting of the trial, and his view as a lawyer. Of course he’s an extreme conservative republican, and lock step with them about just about every issue, but his rants on the media are sometimes pretty well founded. I need to find an intelligent opposition podcaster I can listen to at 1.5 speed.
