the problem with Roe v wade was a right to abortion was interpreted out of thin air… . Equating a right to ones privacy (which isn’t even explicitly stated) to ones right to an abortion wasn’t rock solid. (Obviously) a legislative compromise could have been codified into federal law or even amended into the constitution but our politicians are too cowardly and in reality don’t want these polarizing and mobilizing issues solved. So now it’s up to the states… so live where you agree with their laws I suppose.

The most strikingly obnoxious part of this debate is there is probably a reasonable policy that 75% of people could live with. but then you’ve got the extremists shouting past each other on one side; about the ordained miracle of two people rubbing their naughty parts together and god himself riding a tadpole like a steed into an egg verses.. Abortion should be legal up to their first birthday when I see what color their eyes become…. A reasonable compromise on abortion as terrible of a process as it is can prevent a whole lot of negligent, irresponsible and ill fated parenting.

It was not the greatest attack on democracy since Pearl Harbor, it wasn’t an attempted coup. It was just another stupid embarrassing American event being over politicized to the hilt to hide the latest presidential disaster. It was just as stupid as cops killing defenseless people, idiots looting and burning down cities, the inflation disaster we are all living now, our terrible and continual horrible response to covid, etc. none of its fine, but it won’t stop until people grow up and reject this good guy bad guy fairytale they are getting fed…

What’s easy for me is that I’ve long ago concluded the ENTIRE political class is corrupt and has a disgusting disregard for the average American. The difference between what you suggest above and my perspective, is unlike party disciples I’m not deluded in the belief that this is isolated to one person or party. Trump did all sorts of unethical, corrupt and politically devisive things, but so is this entire Jan 6 committee process. if anyone really cared about the country, the best thing to do would be to move on and put this behind us. Biden’s campaign was the pandemic, the state of the economy, the polarized populous and the geopolitical situation are totally your fault prez. just about every metric proceeded to get worse (except job growth because the inherited vaccines, weakening covid strains and overall fatigue moved people to go back to life) AND add to it while ramping up to the worst domestic inflation since the 70s, we couldn’t deter and a Russian invasion, got victimized by our anti oil exploration climate ‘crisis’ and have today just as if not more polarized populous… and now it’s every one else’s fault. Add to that a democrat senate, congress and Whitehouse can’t pass anything because if it’s not radical it’s not worth doing. I don’t think so. Supreme Court ruling effectively said its a state issue not a federal one. That was the ‘reversal’ every one is talking about. they essentially said the right to abortion was a poor interpretation of the constitution and therefore states must have the power to decide.

wrongfully detained is pretty loose, for example, they can say they think any trial or sentence or even treatment during imprisonment may/could be unfair, Doesn’t mean they don’t think the crime happened.
