  1. Ha - me too....though following the Sabers has been pretty pathetic....This current version of the Bills should be contenders for several years. These guys have no sense of being part of bad teams with year after year coaching changes and systems changes and yada yada yada so maybe just maybe we can feel comfortable in thinking the team may get one....
  2. 1 prime if available please. If not - general is great. Thx,
  3. Will be staying in Hamburg for the home opener (coming up from VA). So where are the best wings in the Hamburg area? Is it a safe assumption that places in that area will be mob scenes on Friday night the 10th?
  4. This makes me wonder about some of the starters who haven't played in a pre-season game yet - specifically Josh Allen. If he doesn't play in preseason then that means his first real game like hit will come in the season opener? I'm sure no one is hitting him in practice. That worries me a little TBH....
  5. What I've been telling people when they see my Bills hat/T Shirt is that as Bills fans we should be in for a really solid four or five year stretch, similar to the late 80's/early 90's. As someone else already pointed out though, this team has to get to at least one SB before any talk of comparison to the 90's SB teams. Back then the Bills WERE the team to beat in the AFC and honestly, there wasn't that much . The current Bills are not the team to beat in the AFC. The Chiefs are until proven otherwise. The AFC has a several real contenders. If the Bills make the SB, and I think they will in the next three seasons, then we'll have something to compare IMHO.
  6. Because you're a Bills fan and as a Bills fan, good news is always viewed with a skeptical, nervous eye....until the team wins a SB, its a perfectly natural reaction....particularly if you're a long time Bills fan.....
  7. Thanks for the history link - I had no idea doctors were doing hip replacements in the 1890's! I had my knee replaced at age 54 and it was the best decision I ever made. Jimbo's proven he's tough and I have no doubt he'll be able to lead the parade downtown next February....
  8. Had to be nearly every play from the 1984 and 1985 seasons, right?
  9. And by the way, thanks for your service.....
  10. I picture a layer of money 2 feet deep filling the lower bowl of Highmark stadium and Josh laying in the middle of it slowly beginning the count.....much like McDonalds it will be millions and millions.....
  11. Hard to believe a Bill Belicheat team won't be better. Too much money and influence in NE to think otherwise....Hoping the Bills can start where they left off last season...
  12. It should be a fun season and hopefully a fun 4 or 5 years.
  13. Show off! Anyone could have read the article.....😄
  14. Wonder how many NFL HoFer's are also in the CFL HoF? Could be a good trivia question (no Google allowed).
  15. Yes, all of the above.
  16. and maybe 10 masks!
  17. Has the team said how many fans will be allowed for home games this coming season? I swear, I searched the site to the best of my technical ability and didn't see it so apologize in advance if this has already been covered. Asking because I have to be in WNY this fall and would like to try to get to a game.
  18. This to me is the ultimate sign of dedication! Having been born the same year as the Bills and grew up with pretty bad teams (I don't count 64/65 because I barely remember them) mostly and have hung in there as a fan even though I've been away from Buffalo way longer than I lived there (41 years v. 19 years). Like many on this board I've driven from hours away to see a game, turned around and drove home, or flown in depending on where I lived and my then economic situation. But mostly, the dedication comes from pride in my home town, pride in the Bills and the "root for the underdog" I have in me. A recent short story: As I finally got to the check in line for my first vaccine a couple weeks ago, the guy checking me in saw my Bills mask and said "oh, I bet you're just wearing that because they're good all of a sudden" to which I said "no, wearing it because I was born and raised in Buffalo and have been following them since I was a little kid." That really ticked me off....
  19. Maybe the first one. The rest look like bad high school helmets IMHO....of course I still like the standing red buffalo on a white helmet....pure magic...
  20. Condolences. My mom passed away a year ago this week - another big Bills fan. In fact she and my dad were at the '64 Championship game and ran on the field, which knowing my parents, blows me away. One way we can honor our moms is to stay true to the Bills!
  21. How can you forget the guy who made "they're killing me Whitey, they're killing me" famous (albeit while he was with the Bronco's)?
  22. The three Edmund brothers were here in Richmond, VA at a high school football game to see their cousin play two Friday's ago. Friend of mine got a picture of them standing together - when you see them standing next to "normal" sized folks you get a sense of how big they are.....
  23. I imagine experience in an intermural flag football league in college doesn't counts?
  24. I'm very encouraged as the team should be contenders for the next several years. Should be fun. Reminds me a lot of '88 to 94, except I hope they don't have a Ronnie Harmon drop in the playoffs next year and then lose 4 SB's!
