The kick I always got out of the cigarette tax was the state's claim it was necessary "to offset the higher cost's of health care for smokers". What am I missing? When did the state start paying my medical bill's? Do I produce a receipt for a pack of Marlboro's and get a free lung transplant? I don't think Meth needs to be "grown" anywhere. It just needs a corrupt government to overlook it's manufacture, which Mexico is happy to provide. Please don't suggest the US is the source of Mexico's problems. They need to clean their own house.

Difference is we share a border with only one third world county. Mexico. And they are the problem, not Colombia, Peru or Afghanistan. I don't care where the drug is made, it must physically get into the US,and Mexico has let it's self, intentional or otherwise, be the gateway to the US. Why are there no drug wars in Canada over the US drug trade? Because they have laws and enforce them.

I felt bad when I posted it, but a "disabled" firefighter just sounded too odd. But I agree, it depends on what the disability is. I would imagine anyone who has been in a firefight in Irag would be a cool customer in police/ firefighter work
