Well everyone seems pretty high on this new RB (Bell is it- I forget his name). If Chan and Nix really could get some serious pay dirt for Marshawn from the Bronc's AND- and this part is key- they think that this Bell character can be an every down back like Marshawn is expected to be this year- then I say do it. Otherwise, NO. Freddy needs to rotated to prolong his longevity. He is too valuable to this franchise to risk using on pretty much every down. Spiller is not the every down back that Lynch is, so who would that 3rd RB be if not Bell?

Here's my Training Camp Report from Friday 7/30/10
saundena replied to Mike32282's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the reports. While I was reading I kept saying to myself "man, Reggie Troubor seems to be making a lot of plays". Lo and behold, you finish your report my specifically calling him out. Sound like he might be a very solid FA pickup Also nice to hear that Roscoe is coming along and that the team is practicing play action. How do our NTs look? -
Like somone else said, it's hard to argue with a lot of your facts; But I'll give you another fact-- TRENT HAS A GLASS JAW. Face it, even if he can regain his early '08 season luster, he's always a hit away from going down. Shite, if he gets his brain scrambled again, he might be done in the NFL. And then where does that leave us. . . WITHOUT A QB! It's gotta be Brohm with Trent as a backup.

Clots are no joke. I know Phil Harris from Deadliest Catch had one that nearly killed him a few seasons ago. Wouldn't be surprised if it in some way contributed to is untimely death (along with his smoking). Get well soon Mike Williams

My whole issue with your original ORIGINAL post was that you kinda took a private convo between friends and made it PUBLIC! Assuming that it's true (and it may very well be), why would you secretly write down private things that a guy said when he was drunk and then post those comments a year later on a message board. That's not what friends do to each other. It smacks of underhandedness Sorry, but that's how I feel

"I know what they can do in shorts...'

INDEED! I also like this quote from Freddy J: ''No TVs,'' added running back Fred Jackson. ''He kind of felt like it was a spa in there. He wants us to go in there and work out. And I think that's what they're trying to nail home. Guys are buying into that.'' There's NO WAY we finish worse then 8-8 this year -

Jacksonville sells naming rights to their stadium

It would be funny if the JAX naming rights were sold to PODS... you know, the MOVING and self storage solutions company.... -
Completly Agree. I'd much rather see him go to a team that is ready to take the next step, than to the Bills who we know aren't there and also need to develop their younger players. If we were on the bubble, then sure. I wish him the best and hopefully he can help the long suffering Bangles Franchise. Very happy that he didn't go to the NJests

This made me laugh. Thank you

If you think it's been bad in Buffalo
saundena replied to John Adams's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't say that. In the race to the playoffs, we will surely beat Detroit. With good coaching, we coulda been there last year or even the year before. -
I've had several positive Bills dreams lately, including 1 in which the Bills were up 30-something on the Fins in the 2nd quarter. I remember it was a home game and the crowd was electric. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come rather than wishful dreaming

What player does C.J. Spiller most resemble?
saundena replied to Hossage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say he most resembles, that RB from Clemson-- whats his name... CJ Spiller -
First they have a player who left the scene of an accident, and now this. If the Dolphags don't be careful, they will end up being mistaken for the '09 Bills, or worse- the Bangles....

Who will be the "promising" cuts?
saundena replied to stuckincincy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would say that Hardy and Parrish are very likely to remain Buffalo Bills- and rightly so. Parrish is at the very least an top punt returner whom a coach with some offensive prowess could make into a Wes Welker type of player. Hardy is basically entering his second season and for the first time playing for a coach who actually has a clue -
Most definately. We're trendsetters

What you are talking about is arbitration. Arbitration is a legal means of settling disputes where a 3rd, neutral party (the arbitrator) takes all the facts into consideration and tries to make the best decision possible. The arbitrator's decision is final (unless there is some exotic means to overide). Often in union environments where there is a labor dispute, both sides will agree on using an arbitrator in order to come to some type of resolution. I'm assuming that the same would apply to the NFL's labor dispute

Crowder may be playing but...
saundena replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But if they run, they are out for a year, so they have to stay and face the music. You could also make DUI's 1 year suspensions too. That way people players will think twice and hire a cab before they drive! -

Here is what the NFL/R. Goddell should do (in my humble opinion) for cases such as these. If a player is convicted of leaving the scene of an accident then he would be immediately suspended for 16 regular season games with out the chance to play in pre/post season games. Should the conviction happen x games into the current season, that than player would be suspended for remainder of the season and n number of games in the following season so that the suspension is 16 games total. Convicted of DWI- your ass is grass for 2 full seasons! Leaving the scene and DWI- Forget about playing for 3 seasons If they don't get tough on the players the NFL will end up like the NBA. Goddell needs to kick some ass. Yeah yeah, I know; "but that's too hard on the players". Bull Shite. Wether they like it or not, players represent the organization and kids look up to them. If a teacher, lawyer or Doctor did something like that, their careers would be in serious jeopardy. -
Nice Bellicheat zinger! I competely agree with your RB situation. What was once a strength of the Jets is now questionable at best. Thomas Jones was a reliable workhorse. LT is a fading star. It's almost as if they ditched Jones and brought in LT because they thought it would help to sell more seats (I hear they are having trouble selling the seat liscences-- too bad this is what it's come to). ANYWAY, with a 2nd year QB who was carried by the D and the running game, I don't think it was very wise to jettison T. Jones and Faneca. The Jets might win the AFC East, but I think they will struggle to score points which is why I feel Baltimore and Indy are the teams to beat in the AFC. Well said. I don't think the transition will be as bad as some think. Sure there will be some blown coverages, but I think when the money is on the line you will see 2 things: 1. Our D will make critical stops on 3rd down. 2. We won't wear out in the 4th quarter. There is no way we finish worse than 8-8!

WHAT! A sensible reply from the enemy?!?! Maybe you can teach the Dol-Phag Trolls how to post on other teams message boards. You're ok in my book!
