Our $250MM D line was embarrassing. 1 sack all day long against a bunch of Patriot rookies on the road is simply awful. How in the hell did this happen? We're supposed to be so talented up front, I can't help but think that if we got a little more pressure up front and caused a sack or forced a 3rd down incompletionon one of the many Patriot scoring drives that we would have been at least tied on that last drive. Thtee things that stink: 1. The vaunted Rex Ryan defense. This guy has more talent on D than he's ever had yet we looked completely inept. 2. Our discipline. Way too many costly penalties. 3. Our offensive game plan in the 2nd quarter. Throwing 1 yard passes against the Pats just won't cut it. Not trying to be chicken little because we did lose to a good team but this game was a joke. When it comes down to it, they are better than us in every way possible. Not looking forward to the rematch.

Ok, I know that this is being discussed in a separate thread, but we need to push this topic nationally. Who do we have to complain to, NFL rules committee? There has to be something in the rules about the ref's being impartial judges in the game? We need to email/twitter bomb, Mike & Mike, Cowherd et al until this issue is taken seriously and the NFL responds in an appropriate manner. Those two refs should be suspended for the rest of the season. If I'm the NFL, the game's integrity is a risk! For the record, Actually I think the Referees usually do a very good job despite how quick the game is. I'm pissed when they get calls wrong as happens every game; but I also accept that it happens considering how the rules currently exist. Every teams get's BS calls for and against, but the fist bump is HIGHLY suspicious.

Some thoughts re coaching, the GM and moving forward

I'm OK with Whaley and Brandon. I know some of the other rookie WRs are doing well, but their prospects for greatness was not as much of a sure things as Sammy. If Whaley would have selected somebody else, say for instance Carolina's Kelvin Benjamin and he didn't perform well then we would have been pissed at Whaley for not going after Sammy. The other thing to realize is that we can't look at things in a vacuum... Imagine how good Sammy could be doing if he had Cam Newton throwing him the ball.... I'm OK with Brandon as long as he and Whaley both report to TPegs.... He's a great business guy and I really feel that he loves the team. It's just that I don't think the football operations side of the house and the business side of the house should have to compete with or answer to the other. The business side of the house should be 100% committed to supporting the GM and making sure he can execute his agenda, with oversight and support from the owner. After all, this is a Football team, not manufacturing or service. The GM should have a lot of power and not have to fight for / or to keep that power. Doug Marrone needs to go. The players seem to like him but his team always seems unprepared and he's not a good game day coach. He needed to hire two experienced coordinators. Instead he hired Petine (who we really got luck with because he turned out to be good) and Hackett who is mostly awful. I believe the offense and Hackett will be his undoing. If Whaley stays (which I think he should.... can you imagine if we had the Jets GM Idzik... GM's are not a dime a dozen, nor are they perfect.) then who needs to go? Whaley has done a good job for the most part. Sure, we knew the Oline would be a problem, but Rome wasn't built over night. So Whaley stays, but which coaches get the boot? Do you fire everybody? Can you fire just the head coach and then let the new head coach make decisions about the rest of the staff? Because, I really like Schwartz, Pepper Johnson and Crossman... What if the new coach wants to bring in his guys? Do you promote Schwartz? Schwartz has proven time and again and continues to show that he's a top notch Dcoord. His record as a head coach is only mediocre. If you promote him, who takes over our D, which is quite possibly the best in the league? I'd hate to see them go from Petine, Schwartz and then a new guy.... 3 coordinators in 3 years. I'd like to see some stability. If you promote Schwartz, who do you think he'd be able to attract as an offensive coordinator? Thoughts please? -

This is going to be a real tough game. I give our odds at 50% best case. -
Didn't find anything. Figured this was more direct

I know what pwned, HAM, BAMF and IIRC all mean, bit what does LAMP mean? I see that sometimes people start threads with LAMP in the title. I'm just wondering. Thanks for explaining

Yes, you are. Anyone can cherry pick horror stories. The simple fact is that dogs are a lot like people: The vast majority are good. Some are bad. And all are a product of their upbringing.

Disregard- Fixed GO BILLS -
I'd take him as the backup. He can be a competent game manager and I think we have more offensive weapons than the Jests ever did. If EJ really stinks it up is there any reason why he can't do for us what he did for the Jets in 2009 and 2010? Our defense is as good as theirs and our offense is better for certain... I just don't know who we would boot? Thad has looked pretty bad so far but he did get us a few wins in EJ'S absence last year...

EJ looked calm and in control..

Game Rewind isn't live! I have direct TV but from what I understand would not be able to stream the games outside of the USA even if I have full Sunday Ticket -
So I'm taking a job in Sweden and I want to know the best way to watch the Bills. When I lived in Rio I used NFL Gamepass and that worked great. But now when I go to the Gamepass website, they only seem to offer Audio live and NFL Rewind. What happened to Gamepass. I used to get every game live and the whole season would archive? Maybe I can only access the full Gamepass website from outside the USA??? I don't mind paying for legit, worry free access. What are you all using?

He's not a new player. He's been in the NFL for over a year now. Granted his body of work is tiny, the fact remains that expectations are higher for him this year. Yes, this was a scrimmage, and ultimately does not mean squat, but tell me you wouldnt feel much better if he had given us a crisp performance in camp and in yesterdays game

As long as we stay healthy we should defiantly be a top 10 unit at the very least. We may have some drop off in the secondary and our LB's are probably weaker with the loss of THE KIKO, but I figure that with Spikes our Run D will be better and that is an area where we really struggled last year. I'm very hopeful.
