Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland passes away - 24 yrs old.

Yeah, I think you are right. I see now there was a police chase involved and apparent self inflicted gunshot. Terrible. Very sad. -

Agreed- but since at the time I wrote this there weren't any reports of MVA's, police reports of shootings / domestic incidents, the congenital defect came to mind. Suicide is the other possibility too. Damn shame. RIP -

Awful. I hate to speculate, but I will. In absence of a police report / accident report, etc. perhaps this was some sort of congenital health issue / defect. You hear about athletes at all levels, dying suddenly from previously unknown health issues. Very sad. Prayers to his family and friends, whatever the circumstances are. -
Also agree. Why is this though? Age? Hopefully the rest of his physicality doesn't diminish as quickly as his short burst speed and escapeability seemingly has.

Did we already miss the window with Josh
saundena replied to BritishBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed, but we have some ground to make up, and a lot to prove on offense. The fact that our passing O couldn't take it to Carolina's passing defense (bottom tier) wasn't encouraging. And, despite the 31 point win, we didn't (and still haven't) played a complete game in all phases, all year. KC will be a big test. If we look good but lose, its not the end of the world because an experienced team like Buffalo as a WC, with Josh playing well, can still do well in the playoffs and go on a run (especially if we end the year healthy). But if we look bad or disjointed next week, I'll have to recalibrate my 2025 expectations -
We are falling apart. Injuries, a tired scheme, lack of discipline, the only difference between us and the Dolphins is that we're starting from a better place. Hopefully we come out if they bye with grit and determination, but I'm afraid things have gotten stale at OBD.

Would you want to see Josh play hardball with the organization?
saundena replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Completely different reasons for retiring. Josh is a competitor and loves Buffalo. He will do everything possible to get a Superbowl for himself and the team, but obviously for him first. If he senses the Coach/GM are holding him back, he'll force new ones on Pegula or demand a trade. I wouldn't blame him. -
A Few Thoughts about the Falcons Game - Community Edition
saundena replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't understand this. There was a good sample size too, which is why we extended them in the first place. At some point, the law of averages has to play out. Hopefully it starts at Carolina -
I never thought of it that way. You are completely right

Simply question. Is it time to make our collective voices know via billboard campaigning? Personally, I don't think we are there at because I don't even know what the message would be yet. But I could see an argument where it would up the collective pressure McBeane andaube something good would come of it. Like after that 9/11 hit piece against McDermott... Maybe the team would rally. I'm at a loss and very crestfallen. Feels like this year will at best end up as a wildcard loss. Feels like we peaked.

Josh looks like 2023 Josh. Not good. And when he's off, we can't win -

Maybe these two things are linked. But I also think that with how bad we look, it has to be more that just Coleman. No focus. Stupid penalties. We just look listless -

I think we started playing more man coverage Agree. Inexcusable especially on that 4th down stop/fumble. Cook should have been the guy. Not a craptastic WR. He looks off. Where has his escapablity gone? He's not the same player as last year, but the least of all our problems. Indee Check, check, check and check. He needs to have a come to Jesus moment with Beane, McDermott and Pegula Major would be an understatement. Leave Shakir out of this!!!!! I never liked the one year prove it deal. I knew he couldn't stay on the field I think he thinks he's playing Madden. Remember that trick play against Baltimore last year? What the hell is wrong with giving it to your best player besides Allen?
