1) Most major corporations don't pay somebody a mutli-million dollar contract coming out of college. You have to prove you results on a professional basis to become a CEO. 2) Major corporations will do background checks and have private investigators find as much information as possible on their candidates. They know about affairs, connections, etc.

Sec. 25.02. PROHIBITED SEXUAL CONDUCT. (a) An individual commits an offense if he engages in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual intercourse with a person he knows to be, without regard to legitimacy: (1) his ancestor or descendant by blood or adoption; (2) his stepchild or stepparent, while the marriage creating that relationship exists; (3) his parent's brother or sister of the whole or half blood; (4) his brother or sister of the whole or half blood or by adoption; or (5) the children of his brother or sister of the whole or half blood or by adoption. (b) For purposes of this section: (1) "Deviate sexual intercourse" means any contact between the genitals of one person and the mouth or anus of another person with intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person. (2) "Sexual intercourse" means any penetration of the female sex organ by the male sex organ. © An offense under this section is a felony of the third degree. This is not to be confused with Statutory Rape. In Louisiana, if she were 15, and he were 17 or under, it would not be considered statutory rape. You must be within 2 years of age, if she is under 17.

Does Naaman Roosevelt make the team?
DasNootz replied to Beans90's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It'd be a good story... but I'm with Leonidas. Practice Squad probably. Barring injury, I don't expect to see him on Sundays. -
He's not getting any younger, and he's nothing more than a stop-gap to getting a better long term solution. That said, he's better right now than anything else we have.

I really wasn't impressed with his highlight video. Sure he led the conference in sacks, but sometimes the result aren't indicative of the process. I really didn't see him making any moves... Several of those sacks were the result of awful blocking. It looked like he took a lot of chances on runs giving up position. Overall I thought he looked like he had above average speed for the college level, but that might not translate to the NFL. I would have like to see him shed more blockers, or show some sort of move other than running around the outside.

We embraced Travis Henry when he was here... so why not Tony? How about Andrew Tyshovnytsky too?

Football Outsider says: pick top-ten RB over OT

Or that teams that have picks in the top 10, take longer to rebuild than the the average NFL career for a first rounder. -

How many QBs drafted in the top 10 in that same period won superbowls? -

Brees more proof....Always take your QB FIRST

Oakland has Russel, Charlie Frye and Bruce Gradkowski... not only are they worse, but they cost more too. -

Over the past decade 26 QBs have been taken in the first round. As many have flamed out than have been meaningful in the NFL. It's all a crapshoot. 2000 18 – Jets: Chad Pennington 2001 1 – Atlanta: Michael Vick 2002 1- Texans: David Carr 3 – Lions: Joey Harrington 32 – Redskins: Patrick Ramsey 2003 1 – Bengals: Carson Palmer 7 – Jaguars: Byron Leftwich 19 – Ravens: Kyle Boller 22 – Bears: Rex Grossman 2004 1 – Giants: Eli Manning 4 – Chargers: Philip Rivers 11 – Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger 22 – Bills: JP Losman 2005 1 – 49ers: Alex Smith 24 – Packers: Aaron Rodgers 25 – Redskins: Jason Campbell 2006 3 – Titans: Vince Young 10 – Cardinals: Matt Leinart 11 – Broncos: Jay Cutler 2007 1 – Raiders: Jamarcus Russell 22 – Browns: Brady Quinn 2008 3 – Falcons Matt Ryan 18 – Ravens Joe Flacco 2009 1 – Lions: Matt Stafford 5 – Jets: Sanchez 17 – Bucs: Josh Freeman -
Answer this as honestly as you can..
DasNootz replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Assuming that my son is going to give me a portion of his SB Bonus check (seeing how this is hypothetical, I'm can assume that his contract has a large incentive to win the SB)... I'd root for my son, but bet on the Bills. This way it'll be doubly sweet either way. -
Terrence Cody a "Sloppy" 370 Pounds at Senior Bowl
DasNootz replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a much greater than an 80% chance that I will be right. Maybe I should bet only a portion of my liver... the rest will regenerate on it's own. -

DasNootz replied to Thurman#1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll wager my liver... which I'm very fond of... that Cody will not be available at the 41st pick. -
Tim Tebow is larger version of Eric Crouch. I believe Crouch was taken in the 3rd round as the 95th overall pick. I expect that Tebow will go earlier than this, but I believe that there's 0 chance that he goes in the top 10 picks... even Al Davis will stay away.

I'd take McClain over Cambell in this situation. Most likely we're going to be drafting mid to early next season too. Why not get the best LB in the draft this year, and hope for better than the 4th best LT in next year's draft? How much success is a rookie LT going to have with on this team in year 1 anyway? He's going to be in the trenches next to a second year player. I'd rather address LT through Free Agency or via a trade (any takers for Marshawn?). Bringing in McClain means giving a rookie a chance to succeed. Paired on the inside with Poz on a 3-4, or moving Poz to the outside on a 4-3, he'll have a chance to become an immediate impact on defense. Sometimes you have to put your best people in your biggest oppurtunities, rather than your biggest problem spots.

Defensive Sully Fires Back At Nix
DasNootz replied to BillsPhan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Prove it... Prove that Sully is 100% right. That's what Sully was asking Nix to do. Prove the figure that you just threw out there. By his own admission, Sully states in his article that nobody has proved that Rivera and the likes DIDN'T turn down their offers for interviews. The same logic would imply that nobody has come out and stated that they DID turn down their offers to interview. Sully has thrown out and unsubstantiated story and asked for somebody to prove him wrong. That's the problem with modern "journalism". -

You left out a portion.. What I heard was, "There's no such thing as trouble filling an NFL coaching job....even the bad teams... Heck, even Oakland gets calls!"
